Here fishy fishy fishy!! It seems this store is under new management. I’ve avoided this store for quite a few months and randomly went back recently to check out the aquatic section. I was shocked to see tanks were being cleaned and with minimal fish. I spoke to a nice manager who explained that they were looking into getting more desired fish. He wrote down my list and promised to call me in a week. He sure did! My tank is finally finished and the selection of fish they have is so much better than before.

I called the store and spoke to a lady on the phone regarding a specific fish I was looking for. I told her I wanted to confirm the fish was available before making the 40 minute drive and she confirmed it was.Fast forward 45 minutes and I arrive at the store. I make my way to the fish section and immediately recognize that the majority of fish are covered in Ich, a highly contagious and (can be) deadly disease for fish. I showed one of the staff members who had no idea they were sick and let me know they are still selling them to the public. I wish they would have told me before I drove 45 minutes.I really wanted to like their fish setup, but unfortunately the hygiene in this area is super low and I’ll have to avoid them in the future.Pictures show the white spots all over the fish, which is one of the visual ways to identify the disease.By the way, this copy and paste response this company does for reviews shows how much they care about the customer and our feedback.

We were sold a bunny that we were told is 10 weeks old. We were promised it was spayed/neutered. The only reason we bought from store was because we were promised it was fixed and we told them this. Well it’s isn’t and it isn’t possible to spay/ neuter a bunny before 4 months but preferable to wait until 6 months! We learned this after purchasing of course. Highly do not recommend as we were lied to our face! Very disappointing and disheartening to have an experience like this.

Horrible, I got my first budgie here and the condition of it was terrible, it looked like they hadn’t changed the food or water in decades. There was bird poopIn the water, the cage clearly wasn’t cleaned weekly and I feel sorry for any pets living there, please go here just to free the pets and take good care of them

Update #4: The company wanted to give me a gift card. After some hesitation I agreed to it because I found out there's another location. I received a gift card for $50.... I emailed back with my bank statements showing $128 worth of fish and this was after they asked me how much I spent and I said roughly $8-$10 a fish which would've been less then I actually spent but they thought $50 was all that was needed. Their fish alone were $23 for 2. I have yet to receive an email back. Save your money and don't do business with this company unless you wanna deal with a big headache!!Update #3: After this review the company reached out about fixing the issue. Said they would get back with me. It's been a week and I haven't heard from them! I sent another email and they never replied! This is a terrible company!Update #2: All of my fish are now dead within 9 days of buying their fish!!Update: Two more of my fish just died!! Spoke to the lady there and she honestly seemed to care less. I would not buy ANYTHING from this store!!I bought 2 fish from here on 02/14/2023. One of those fish died within 2 days and now 7 more of my fish in the tank have died and the other 3 look like they're about to. I wouldn't recommend buying any fish from this store!

Great local, small business pet store. A plethora of toys, bedding, food, and treats. A fun place to explore with a little hooman. With bunnies, fishes, crabs, birds a plenty. They bring in cats and dogs on the weekends only for adoption. The staff will love on your furry ones. I much prefer to spend my money here than at a mega chain pet store any day.

I’ve never had an issue here before this, usually the staff is really friendly. I saw the store hrs were open until 8pm, I had a migraine all day so I put off getting dog food until 7. I got to the store around 7:25. When I got there the doors were locked and a brunette girl with glasses was counting the register with another girl that was fair and had lighter brown hair pulled back in a ponytail. Through the door I asked if they closed at 8 and the brunette rudely said we close at 7. And then I said nicely “online it says 8, just so you know” and she again rudely said “we know” and it looked like they snickered together. I don’t want this to turn people away from shopping here but just so everyone knows, apparently they close at 7, not at 8 like Google says. And I wanted management to be aware of their employees poor attitudes. I was not rude once and was met with a nasty attitude for trying to let them know their hrs were wrong online. And because I was following the online posted store hours my dog doesn’t have food for the evening.. it was just an annoying interaction as a whole..

They were rude to me and my dog. They are the worst pet store I ever have been. My local Pet Supermarket are great with me and my dogs and understand their needs. This Pet Supermarket is rude.

Undernourished baby cat sold. Instead of wet food they tried feeding it dry food (they said the cat had not eaten since they got it in the store, of course it hasn’t because the cat has not been fed right) and that’s not what you do. Cat looked like it was found on the street, absolutely shocking.

Came in to look at fish, but left immediately to see how they were living :( The betas were in such small tanks that were dirty, and most looked unwell and not happy. The other fish tanks were also dirty..

We bought our black bear hamster from this location and she is the sweetest most wonderful girl. The employees loved her and gave her lots of attention which made her really sweet. We talked to the manager about our hamsters history and she was very informative. We got great help from the employees and are very happy with their pets.

This was is such a terrible place to go for any of your pets needs. You literally will have to pay an arm and a leg to get the necessities. I came in and asked the price of everything that I was going to purchase and somehow when I checked out everything was almost $10-$15 more than what the girl quoted me. I think it’s ridiculous that they don’t know the pricing on their things and on top of that everything was absurdly overpriced. I was in a rush so I got stuck purchasing what I needed. Literally Just go to Walmart! I’m never going back!!

The manager is extremely rude and is clearly not qualified to work there. All the other workers were perfect but the manager was not nice at all. Just wow. Very disappointed. Everything was fine with the other workers that helped me find all the fish I needed, until I got to the front to pay, where I wasn’t even greeted but instead I was yelled at about getting 5 fish two days in a row. I kept telling her that I had tested our water multiple times and it was perfect - plus it was a 55 gallon tank, but she kept aggressively talking about how she wasn’t going to give us a re-fund if they died in the next 7 days. Her attitude towards us was utterly unacceptable and even made the other employee that had helped us earlier, feel very uncomfortable. She definitely does not deserve the place of being a manager. The other younger workers however were amazing, so creds to them!

The manager, Missy, is very rude. We were in today to buy some cat treats and mice for my snakes. We were pointed toward Missy when we asked for help, and she interrupted the woman trying to get her attention with "No no no, I am with other customers and they will have to wait." All while storming off to the front.Now, this is all good and fine, I do not think I am anymore important than someone who was in front of me. But I do not appreciate her snappy tone and dismissive attitude. I work retail, and a simple "Ok! I will be with them in a moment." Would have been a all around better response. You do not have to be overly chipper with your customers, but her attitude was very off putting and gave a harsh "I don't care about your concerns" vibe. Especially when we went up front and she proceeded to ignore us after helping her current customer.At check out, we thankfully had another associate help us out, she was very friendly and courteous to her customers. We asked for a number we could comment on our experience with, and Missy was even rude to her employee. No big surprise there. The number we were given was one that would help us with a membership card, not anything to do with customer service for in store problems. Very unprofessional manager, your attitude speaks volumes to your customers!

Love the crew at my Pet Supermarket! Tonight I was at the door at 7:04 pm. They were closed-and the sweet store manager let me in! On so many occasions I have been in the store and the same manager has taken the time to review my receipt and understand my reward points. It’s the little things that keep my business. Carrying my bag to the front (not that I expect the staff to do that, but it sure is thoughtful), asking me details about my dog, going out of their way to insure I get what I need when I am in Pet Supermarket. Love the staff & service. Thank you.

Would have given 0 stars if possible, customer service very poor an inexperienced, associate didnt even know how to do simple gift card balance inquiry an cats had vomit in there cages lack of good leadership in the entire store an from the feel probly higher than that, the store an care for for any customer service or the poor animals has gone so far down the last couple of months has made me switch to Petsmart, really needs some sort of real mangement and district leadership adjustment to become better again before its too late dont recommend this store to anyone!!!!!

There was barf in one of the cat towers and no one bothered to clean it, some of the animals (a cat and bunny) were clearly sick and they did nothing, the staff had no clue what they were doing or how to do most things. This used to be my favorite place but now I don't want to go here anymore.

I bought a litter box that was on sale for $21. I get to the register and it rings up as $24 so I point out the sale sticker on the front. The girl ringing me up tears it off and says “yeh, that’s the wrong price.” I questioned her about honoring the price and she kept saying “it’s just $3.” Why should I eat the three dollars for their mistake?! I was in a huge hurry and didn’t have time to argue. BUT, I hope they enjoy that $3 because it’s the last I’ll spend there. We got a cat there from Nashville Rescue so to support, we’ve always bought all of the stuff we need for the cat here. No longer. That’s just bad business, that level of ignorance and her flippant attitude make this place a No for me from now on. By the way, the Google number listed is a fax machine. You can’t even call to complain if you try. Get it together.

Brought my puppy in here and had the worst experience. I told the sales woman what I was looking for and she then went on to grab treats from behind the counter, she did ask if my dog could have treats but I was not prepared for her next actions. She then went on to direct me toward the items, holding the treats behind her back and enticing my puppy, "Come on, puppy. Follow me." When I stopped to give my puppy distance between us and her she turned and then AGAIN enticed my puppy. Never have I experienced a person so unaware. In no training or real life situation should a person EVER entice a dog to be distracted from their handler let alone follow them despite their handlers commands. I expect more from a worker at a pet store but clearly my expectations were too great. I will be hesitant to shop at this store again because the workers are always fawning and overly excited over my dog, not realizing that they are encouraging poor behavior and frustrating their customer. The workers focus should be on me alone and not on my dog.

Horrible. Every single time I’ve come in here there’s so many sick animals. I tell the employees and they just dismiss it with “oh it’s fine” even though it’s clearly severely ill and they refuse to even look at it. I once told an employee that there was a parakeet with a huge swollen belly, diarrhea, and was rocking back and forth away from all the other birds, and he told me it was fine. There’s poop in all the birds water, no wonder they’re getting sick. You should NEVER have a water bowl where the animals will poop in it, and it shouldn’t ever get this disgusting. This is a horrible way to treat animals.

Purchased 4 guppies and asked the female manager to put extra water in the bag as i had an hour drive - She refused. She said the fish diddidn't ed extra water. One guppy died on the way home and the other 3 died within 6 hours . The female manager was most abrupt and not appreciative of me as a customer. I will never ever shop atvthe Franklin Tennessee location again.

I have shopped at the Pet Supermarket in Florida and here in Tennessee I find them very helpful and the store has everything that I need and if I have problems which I did have trying to find a harness that would keep my small dog from getting loose in the car they gave me special attention and fit me with a harness that works wonderful

Has mostly food for sell. Some toys hardly any pet clothes. There were 3 cats for sale, and 4 different types of birds. No reptiles. Their fish is lackluster as well. Price is pretty average but Petco is 2 mins away and you'd get more options then here.
