Very friendly and helpful service, BUT I do have a few complaints… First, their Bettas fish are housed in terrible conditions. They are still in the bags in which they were shipped in. I’ve been in there several times and they had like 20 fish sitting in super small bags on the shelf. These bags have maybe a cup of water in them, and are tied, so there is no oxygen. Also, how are they able to feed them if they are still in the bags. The fish that are in the cups have less than a cup of water. I just feel terrible for those little fish. Second, I bought several fish from the store and half of them died within the first couple of days. There is no refund policy. So you either have to buy more sick fish or find something in the store that matches the price you paid for the fish. All the fish that I have bought have been sick with fungal or bacterial infections. which spread to my other healthy fish. I will continue to shop there because they do you have good prices for a small town pet shop on supplies, and it keeps me from spending the same amount in gas to go to another town. And if they don’t have what you need in stock they will happily order it for you. I hate leaving a negative review about anything, but I love all animals and I can’t keep my mouth shut when something is wrong.

I’ve been visiting Pet Paradise for years and have bought many pets and pets supplies from them. Kevin and his lovely wife Lisa are the best! Family owned and operated! The store is clean and orderly and the animals are well taken care of. They care about their customers and you are always welcomed with a friendly smile and excellent customer service. I cant tell you how sweet these people are. They always call me with any of my questions. My puppy is so sweet an healthy Beautiful an sweet.Heads up I want to say after we got this puppy after she grew we found out she was born with open soft spots on her head.She went through dozens of treatments an died at 5 months. Be awear of this place.Check out your pets real good. *take it all back my pup died a few months later.She had a open soft spot an wasn't told anything about it.

I visited this store with my daughter. We were shocked at how the animals were being kept. I feel it is my duty to at least report what we saw.The birds were kept in a small cage that is usually a cage for rabbits or Ferrets. They had no room to fly. The rabbit was kept in a bird cage. I don't know what was going on here.The most disturbing of all was the hamsters. My daughter and I have had a few hamsters over the years so we consider ourselves educated on raising Syrian hamsters.The hamsters were housed with about 4 adults in one cage . Each cage had a few adults. One cage had a mama and her 4 or 5 week old pups mixed with other adults. Syrians are solitary animals and they like to live alone. If not they will fight. I am not sure if the hamsters were all female in a cage or not but we did notice at least three mamas with a nest of newborns. From what I could see the other hamsters were new mamas or pregnant. My fear would be another hamster harming one of the nests. The lady we talked to was unaware that one hamster had a liter of pups. They were all cramped and none of them had wheels. I know you are supposed to take the wheel out when there are small pups but none of the adults could get any exercise.I just feel it is my obligation to let everyone know. They also had a sign stating "buy one get one free". There is obvious overpopulation going on and they are not separating the males from the females. Again Syrians are solitary. I walked away feeling so bad for the hamsters.

We bought a puppy from pet paradise with a health guarantee. She cost nearly $1800. She turned out to have really serious genetic diseases and we have spent close to $10,000 on our dog to make her better because we care about animals. We have talked to Kevin multiple times about the issues and he won't even have the decency to refund the cost of the pet. He says the breeder "may" be able to replace the animal if the pet dies. I would stay far far away from this place.

We recently purchased a puppy from this store, and while the puppy is mostly healthy, our Shih Tzu (advertised as purebred) has genetic markings of other dogs, including an overbite (which is a result of genetics of injury or infection). Also, if you are expecting accurate vet records or details of vaccinations, this store will leave you wanting. They will only provide a hand filled out vaccine card which is generally not accepted if your puppy needs documentation of vaccines. They will also not provide any details on the vet that provided the vaccines, which indicates this dog either did not receive shots, did not receive shots from a vet (home breeder which can be dangerous), or received shots from an vet that doesn't abide by normal veterinary rules. Overall, I think we paid too much for a puppy that had to be treated as if she hadn't received any shots (which costs money) and is not a full purebred.Update, we performed genetic testing and were able to determine she is NOT purebred. She is only 70% Shih Tzu, indicating one of her grandparents was a pure Lhasa Apso. The standard requirement for being purebred is 87%. I also forgot to mention she had a severe allergic reaction when she received vaccines (from our first time at the vet). This could have been very dangerous, and if she truly did receive her vaccines before we bought her, the store should have told us.

At the beginning of the COVID quarantines, my daughter and I went to Pet Paradise in search of a conure. There were three and we picked the perfect little fella! His name is Dusty, and he's now my daughter's best buddy... he's been such good company for her during the epidemic. The people at the store were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the animals. The animals were happy and healthy. The prices were good and we love the store! We'll definitely return for all of our pet needs.

The only original mom and pop pet store around!This store has been in business 27 years. Always very kind and helpful. They have healthy animals that come with a health guarantee. If they don’t have what you’re looking for..... ask them and more than likely they can get it!

I had purchased a few animals here in the past and had been satisfied. They always had healthy bunnies that seemed to go quick (possibly due to misinformation.) I had recently bought a common goldfish and was told it was good with a betta (which it is not.) I also wasn't informed of the massive size they grow to when HEALTHY. Keep in mind, I walked in there with intentions of getting a snail. The man that sold me the two fish, who may or may not be the owner, is, while nice, very pushy. Also, he kept the possible 12 inch fish in a 10 or 15 gallon tank; they were cramped in there due to there being 20 of them. In one tank. Imagine walking into a pet shop for a Chihuahua and walking out with a Doberman. You wouldn't be very pleased. This place has bad, length review for a reason. And short, "real" good reviews for the same. The bad out weighs the good.

This store not only has an abundant variety of supplies but also live pets as in dogs, hamsters, lizards, fish and more. The store is extremely clean and the owner operates are knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend a visit if you are looking for pets or pet supplies.

Nice place! I bring my umbrella cockatoo and he talks with their blue and gold macaw - they are best friends! I get Bobby's parrot food there - been going there for ten years. Oh, they also sell puppies, reptiles, fish and parrots.

The prices are just a little higher than big companies like petco, which is expected for a small town store. But the services and friendliness makes it worth every penny. This little store has a great selection of pets and products and the owner is always super nice and helpful. Would 100% recommend pet paradise!!!

Misleading, the guy will sell you supplies for your pet that you don't even need. Plus there cage and supplies are 3 times as much as other stores like petco and petsmart and chewy.. so I recommend if you buy pet from here do your research on supplies because the guy that sold me items just isn't very honest and up front only care about making a dollar not the customer..

First of all we wasn't well greeted when we walked in, lady behind the desk was on her phone playing games and didn't say much.the guy was recommended stuff that I later found out that I didn't even need or it was 3 times cheaper at other stores, I just think he only care about a buck and not being trueful with his customers. I want recommend or buy any more here again I could have saved 50 or more dollars at other supply stores, smh live and learn...

Unless it was a trade in, their pets aren't well kept. Three weeks ago I pointed out to them that their iguana had mites. They confirmed this and said they would take care of it. Went in a couple days ago and not only did it still have mites, it's tank hadn't even been cleaned...

Their warm blooded animals are mostly healthy to the eye. In my opinion, i do not think they should be able to care for reptiles for they dont know how to properly take care of them. Ive donated my own heat lamps to them because they didnt have any lamps on their reptiles. They also dont have the right foods, bedding, and so on. Ive rescued a lot of their reptiles and even brought that iguana with the mites back to health. The iguana was badly malnourished to the point its eye was sealed shut and you could literally see every bone(i have pictures of when i got her and when i found her a good home). All it took was some good baths to get rid of mites, aquaphor healing ointment and eye contact solution to get her eye open in three days of when i got her. They do not need the responsibility of the reptiles.

It’s the cleanest pet store I’ve been to . All the animals are healthy , there is a big selection of pet there , I get my hedgehog food there and it is cheap it’s only like 6 or 7 pounds .

I grew up in a pet shop in Huntsville called Noah's ark this is the closest pet shop that comes to what I grew up in you can actually go in this pet shop and physically touch the pets you can't do that in these commercial places it's locally owned and should be locally supported thanks Mary Pass
