Don't send your kids to pay at the Deli.The majority of our immediate family ordered off the hot bar while my11yr old ordered from the cold bar.I was watching at my table.After receiving his meal, cash in hand, my son proceeded to the deli register and waited behind a lady beginning to pay.When it was his turn the cashier told him"he wasn't in line"an left to help the adults at the hot bar. She was very argumentative when approached. The store manager was better.

Absolutely, amazing Adam was my hero at Food City the other day. I came up to the shelf shaking finger and say No No No. Adam stopped and asked if he could help me. And boy did he help me!!! He went over and above to help me out. In the end I got my mother what she requested all because of the selfless efforts of Adam doing more than just his job, he helped me greatly and especially my mom . I can say thank you or enough kind words about how I felt with this help. This is true customer service and caring about the needs of the customer. Thank you Adam, you made my mom's day and especially my day. I truly appreciate you, I won't forget it .

Some things are good but I hate when the paid employees are standing around gossiping and swinging their keys around, doing nothing, and making the customers be unpaid employees running self-checkout. You wouldn’t hire me for a cashier because I’m old and have bad eyes but you force me to be an unpaid employee doing the same thing if I want something to take home to eat.

Wouldn't recommend working at food city or shopping there. An employee named Chad stalks people and follows customer around and tells a sad story and then asks for money. Also I think they need to talk to him about that and personal hygiene. I'm not comfortable going in to food city anymore they need to do something about that employee he is a nuisance and is bringing the company down hill. He always begs me for money and I seen him beg several others for money then gets mad and slams buggies outside and raises his voice saying he is gonna take foodcity to court and everything. And he is paranoid and think there out to get him. Also he is always talking about employees trying to start drama and get employees to quit.

Think im done shopping here. They sell meat that expires in 1 or 2 days. Impossible to shop for a week. Here and Madisonville the same. I have thrown away way too much money in meat to keep giving them money.

Got gas & went n & got 2 7-layer salads & some shrimp11/23 got gas & got $.15 off a gallon, loved it!1/11 went to store for a few things b4 the storm hits n a couple of days. Not much bread, milk was low, & no bananas.3/18. Got shrimp while it's on sale. $7.99 a lb.

Best place so far to shop in Etowah TN.they have a big selection of good ingredients for cooking like me as an asian.its hard to get a good spicies..but I found some of asian goods in there

Good variety of food products and I love the Food City sales otherwise the prices can be a bit steep However, the managers are RUDE!!!!!! I don't like drama or confrontation but every Food City I've ever shopped at the managers have been very, very rude and seem to have 0% personality. It's almost like to work as a manager for Food City one of the requirements for the job is to be very rude to both staff and customers. Am I right?

I cannot figure out what is going on with the Etowah Food City. First they have a rude front end manager Rhonda that has had several complaints against her and then the make her Associate of the month. Her attitude is still terrible. She is rude to the customers and the cashiers. Now they have a cashier Felisha that walks away from her register or self check instead of helping the customers. Wes Adams as a store manager YOU NEED TO DO BETTER. I also cannot believe Amanda was promoted to a store manager with how rude she is and looks down on the customer that helps pay her salary.

I usually pick my groceries up through go cart. I don't like to grocery shop so they do that part & bring them to my car. It's great! The times I have been in the store it's clean & they have friendly service. So far so good.

I called and asked to speak to the florist department. A lovely person answered the phone who was patient and understanding as I explained what I needed. Then she asked the important question ❓❓❓ when did I need it by and I explained I need it right now. She said no problem I'll get right on it. And she made the most beautiful bouquet of roses for my granddaughters eigth grade graduation in less than 30 minutes , she loved them! Thank you to the young lady in the floral department on May 22nd 2023around 4:30 p.m.

Rude, rude, rude. Most of the cashier's are friendly but the managers are terribly rude. And I'm speaking of managers in Athens, and Etowah, and Vonore. those managers treat thier cashier's and worse, the customers like we are beneath them. I'm being as serious and honest as I can be. That's why I only shop in Food City when they have good deals on Coke products. I don't understand how they are able to keep their jobs..I have reported Thier behaviors to the main Food City office and as far as I know, nothing happened to them that would make me believe that my reports had been taken seriously. I don't think the Food City Corporation cares about Thier customers at all otherwise they would have at the very least put the managers..from Etowah, Vonore and Athens TN on unpaid leave and dropped them from store managers to stockers or something lower on the store career ladder. So if you want to be disrespected while you shop, Food City is the place for you. If not, shop someplace else...the 1 star come from the Coke sales they have every so often. Good luck

Stopped in on a trip to the mountains. Great store, I wish our local store was as nice. The meat department set us up with some gourmet burgers that were Outstanding. The gentleman in the meat department was nice and very helpful, I didn't catch his name but he was on the employee of the week sign Saturday 02 Apr 2022. Kudos

walked into for the first time wanting deli chicken. approx 5pm, 4-6-23, walked to deli, looked at bin full of fried chicken; after waiting behind another customer *looking at at least 15 pieces i would guess, I ordered 8 pieces of fried chicken. woman walked to back then returned and said "I think theres fried chicken in front of the customer service(pointing to the front)". I never found said fried chicken beside customer service, which i think has an amazon locker and self check out. Walking back to deli I also didnt see any place where they could be, and a line had formed again.

Lots of variety in each section. Meat and produce are fresh always.It pays if you have a Good City card. I recently saved over $7 on my purchases.Pricey but everything is too if the line great.

Groceries are so high it's ridiculous, but we can't blame the groceries stores for that.With that being said... I did self checkout, rung up all my groceries, paid... AND THEN realized that I forgot to scan my value card.Amber in customer service was so helpful and gracious to refund my ticket and then help me ring up everything all over again. Normally I wouldn't worry about it, but that $35 I saved is a quarter tank of gas 🤣 I am very thankful for her help and great attitude ❤
