On your travels, if you happen to find yourself around Decherd TN on HWY#41. Do yourself a favor and stop by Lu Lu's Cafe. Breakfast is served all day the lunch menu primarily consists of a "meat and three".Pictured is the All American Omelet which is a six egg omelette with every option they have thrown in it, served with grits and toast.Our waitress, Kelly, was wonderful. She kept our drinks filled and entertained us with some interesting conversation.The bathrooms were clean as was the entire restaurant which was decorated in classic country style.I will be returning.

This was my second time eating here since the new owner. Not surprisingly, the quality is going down. (To be expected from someone that has failed multiple restaurants in the past. Perhaps he'll be able to keep a well established place open.)I ordered two eggs, tots, bacon, with biscuits and gravy. The fried eggs were the smallest I've ever had at a restaurant and were not cooked the way I ordered. The bacon was ordered chewy, and was over cooked. Gravy lacks flavor.Hubby got bacon, cheese and jalapeno omelet. Worse omelet we've ever had. Suppose to be 3 eggs, but with how thin the egg was, I doubt it. Then again my eggs were tiny so maybe. The bacon in it was very over cooked and rock hard. Cheese seems to be cheap sliced cheese.This has always been a seat yourself place, and I did see the sign still there, although off to the side. Whether they are trying to change it or not, I found it very rude when the owner moved a couple to a crowded back room because they say at a 6 seater. I guess they thought it was rude too since they ended up walking out the back shortly after.Waitress was friendly however never came back to refill my drink. I suppose I could have flagged her down, but like to see what kind of service I'll get.Would I eat here again? Doubtful (At least not until it changes owners again)Would I recommend to others? Nope

We've been eating at Lu Lu's Cafe regularly for many years. Service is always top-notch, and the food is excellent. Today I had the vegetable omelet with pepperocini peppers instead of the bell peppers. It was the best omelet I've ever had there or anywhere. Give it a try. Servers are always attentive checking if you need anything. They have a great array of food choices for lunch...sometimes it's hard to pick what to eat. I would give it more stars if I could.

Every time I visit here I’m expecting good home cooked food but it always turns out to be what seems like instant or frozen cooked food that is served. I got country fried steak at the last visit and I’m convinced it was a frozen country fried steak that was warmed up. It was thin and small like something you get out of the freezer section. It was nothing like a good home cooked country fired steak. Also, we sat toward the back on the left and some employees went out the back door to smoke. The smell of cigarettes filled the room and we had to smell cigarette smoke while eating our lunch which is absolutely terrible. I will most likely return to maybe try something different on the menu since it is a local small owned business I will definitely not sit in the back room to the left. Service is always great besides the smoking outside the back door.

One of our favorite home cooking places around this area. Must have if you are close. Everyone is friendly too and the food is so delicious every time. I added pictures of menu in photos. They also have a daily special, that is different everyday. Desserts are great too.

The food was subpar and the wait was extremely long. The waitress explained to us that the main grill cook went home from an injury. I’d like to go back and try it again at a later date. Definitely has a very homey and friendly environment. Service was good also.

Honestly, it is good country cooking in it's average form. Nothing overwhelming or underwhelming about it, good for a quick meat and 3. Friendly service. Good location, easy to find in a small town.

This place used to be one of "the" best restaurants around. Since it has changed owners it has went so far down that they will simply run it into the ground. I am a local and I used to go here at least twice a week when Cindy used to own it. Now? I won't go near the place. Yep thats right the food is now way over priced and cooked with absolutely ZERO LOVE. I know I'll never step foot into this business again. Way over priced and the food totally sucks. The People that bought this business should write a book on how to kill a perfectly good restaurant in mere months.

Food is great and priced well. Service from staff to customers is great. Managers service to his workers leaves much to be desired. Seems rude and underappriciative of his team. Low wage pay. There is also a distasteful sign at the casheirs stand requesting tips for the cashier themselves. Please pay a fair wage and stop exspecting your customers to pay your staff for you.
