This place is cool. rRght in the middle of Erwin, Tenessee. I stayed at Uncle Johnny's which is a decent hostel and found Erwin Outdoor Supply. I bought a River shirt from there that has stood the test of time. It feels so good wearing it and you can literally wash it off underneath a trickle if you have to. There is also a thrift store in tractor supply around this location to get everything else you need.

Extremely helpful. Owner gave me a ride to my hotel to get my hiking insoles while I was trying on new shoes for my AT thru-hike. Pretty good selection for resupply and good prices.

Had a 'town vortex' experience in June 2019, due to weather, minor injury, self pity..wandered here, found a nice smelling ( Mrs Meyers lavender!), spacious shop of useful things. Really just scouring for souvenirs for relatives at home, was promptly hooked up with same by nice guy whose name I don't recall, sorry. Thanks!

They have great products for outdoorsmen and the gentleman you works there is very friendly and helpful. They were low on product right after Christmas but still had plenty to choose from. I think them to be a considerable competitor to mahoneys when it comes to hiking gear, clothing, and shoes.
