It takes 30 minutes to fill one prescription and that's if you are first in line. It is absolutely ridiculous. I can't get my medicine filled anywhere else because other pharmacies around here aren't open during the hours I need. I have no other choice than to go here and I hate it. It should not take 30 minutes for one prescription to get approved by a pharmacist. I wish there was some other 24 hour pharmacy because this one is a joke.

I will never ever in my life go to Walgreens again! I had some problems and complications with them a few years back and I decided to let it go and continue to go back where I could use my Rx card. I go to the doctor I get on my prescriptions called in because the pharmacy that I usually would use was already closed and the pharmacist there which is a woman I don't know what her name is refused to transfer my prescriptions back to lingerfelt. And then insisted to keep telling me she could not do that it was against a loss and it was basically up to the pharmacist but she was not going to put her job on the line. I have now been without my medicine for almost 3 days! This is why I've always preferred Mom and Pops stores. Only advice I can give to all of you reading this do not go to Walgreens if you want to be considered a person instead of a number in line! If I could give it a negative rating I would have rated Walgreens and -2!!! DONE WE ITH CHAIN PHARMACIES THAT DON'T TREAT YOU LIKE A PERSON WITH MEDICAL NEEDS!!

This pharmacy is the biggest joke in the tri cities. Making the elderly and others wait until the day they have no pain medicine to fill them!! When insurance pays the day before so they don't wake up with no meds to take. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Plus pharmacists are rude and choose who they're helpful to. I know they're the only 24 hour in town but it's not worth it! Send scripts to A JC Walgreens! Or use a local family owned pharmacy like Burgie or Lingerfelt.

I went to buy a SD card for my Roku Camera. I had no clue what to get. Nathan and Lillian helped me and got it up and running again. Fast, friendly service with top notch customer care! Keep up the good work Elizabethton Walgreens 👍🏼

I was at the ElizabethtonTn location today and received the best customer service today. Megan (pharmacist) was awesome She deserves recognition for her outstanding customer service. I had a prescription that I have been trying to get straightened out for almost 2 weeks. Megan took time out of her busy day to get it fixed. Between the being put on hold, switched to several other people and actually having to call another number to get it straightened out. Megan was very nice and patient. Thanks so much

We are waiting in line. First car in a long line. Someone in the other lane is having an issue with their rx. In my opinion, this staff needs to keep people moving. At the very least, an additional person should step in to help in such a case. Over 30 minutes of waiting in a drive through is way to long!!!!I was a pharmacy store manager for years and 7 years of regional staff position, so, I know what can and can't be achieved.

I would like to share my experience. I arrived at the drive-thru window to pick up a few prescriptions. Stephanie went above and beyond for me. She was VERY helpful and even saved me money with an Rx savings card. My Rx had increased since last year but she offered her assistance to help me save money immediately. Excellent job Stephanie.

The staff, especially the pharmacy staff is the most rude, hateful AND dishonest group of people I have ever encountered. Not helpful, ignore you standing at the counter and when you do finally get waited on I had my change thrown down on the counter instead of being handed to me or waited until I had a free hand. If that wasn't enough, I waited at the front of store to buy some Tylenol. A sales person walked over to the photo dept, checked a person out then left right after. She clearly saw me walking over to her. Then after I got there the regular cashier was back but called for someone to come to photo instead of saying, I can check you out right here. It was a complete disaster. It's like no one really wanted to help me out or care how long I stood waitng for service!

The pharmacy tech Lynete was the ABSOLUTE rudest person that was ever helped me. I guess they just get rid of your perception if you dont have a profile. Our vet sent pain meds for our terminally ill dog to this walgreens in Elizabethton 48 hours before we went to pick them up. Was told she doesn't have a profile and they don't have her perception. I will never do business with walgreens as a whole again.

Sun August 8, 2021Worst service ever. Used to be a great pharmacy but now they are rude, sarcastic, stupid.... That's on their good days. My 98 yr old Mom had just been released from the hospital after survivng sepsis and we stopped to pickup her meds on the way home. We sat in line at the drive up window for 40+ mins. The kid pulled some of her prescriptions but not all, didn't know how to use the computer, then told us we had to come inside as the pharmacist wouldn't come to the window to help us. So I went inside, then the pharamcist wouldn't come to the counter to help and they told me I had to get in line, AGAIN. I about flipped. I told them Mom was in the car and I've already waited. They made be stand in line another 35 mins, and they still didn't get their respective act together. I told them I wouldn't step aside, to get the meds bagged then I'll leave. Complete total unprofessional assine jerks. I used Walgreens for 20+years but won't go back ever for any reason, EVER.We switched over right after our Aug 2021 visit to Roan Mountain Pharmacy and we have had nothing but great, friendly and timely service!

The store is busy at times but not bad. it is a ridiculous 30-45 minute wait in the drive thru lanes. It is NOT a, fuss about no early refills and high prices, lane! If you have 200 questions for the pharmacy about what will help with your nasty rash, go in or call. There are people unable to go in, sitting there in hot cars with no AC that would like to get through the drive thru.Clean handicap accessible bathrooms.Services include vaccine shots and Covid testing.Clean store and dust free stock.Handicap parking and accessibility.Food, snacks and even make up products are never expected.Service dog friendly.Large parking lot.

Worst Pharmacy in the area!I understand that sometimes you are going to have to wait a little bit. But, every single time I have to come here to pick up my MIL's medicine the wait is unacceptable!The staff is always rude and literally act like they know everything about everything! (Which they don't!)They have 3 registers but usually only one is open...Don't use this pharmacy unless you have to!!!!The Walgreens in Piney Flats is so much more efficient and friendly.This Walgreens needs to fire everyone and start over again!!!****UPDATE***As of September 29th, it's still the worst pharmacy in town!!Literally was in line and the young guy who was helping two women ahead of me just up and walked away after helping them...

Family member got home, opened stapled bag in front of me, opened the rx and it was short. Never before has this happened to me personally, and of course being in the health care field myself, I rarely trust allogations like this. If I had not seen it myself, I would be skepticle, but this pharmacy has been nothing but problems. They never have rx ready when they send alert. Wait times are sometimes an hour long, just to wait in the line. They never have a prescription that my 6 year old has to have daily. The rx started off on the 5th of the month and the last month filled, the date had passed the 20th. A daily rx, Over 15 days behind schedule! But nothing tops shorting peoples' medication. Such an easy crime to commit since it is never taken seriously. I am only rating here to let others know, MAKE THEM COUNT YOUR RX OUT IN FRONT OF YOU EVERY SINGLE TIME! I Know this seems timely, on top of the hour wait, but it is the only way to keep THEM FROM STEALING. REGARDLESS OF THE FACT THAT THEY ARE RECORDED AT ALL TIMES, THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING FOR YOU ONCE YOU HAVE LEFT WITH THAT RX. DUE TO THE CONSTANT RECORDING, MY FAMILY MEMBER PLANS ON FILING A POLICE REPORT AS WELL AS REPORTING THE PHARMACIST TO THE BOARD. COORPORATE HAS BEEN REPORTED TOO, HOWEVER, DUE TO PAST ISSUES BEING REPORTED, I DO NOT SEE THAT ROUTE BEING HELPFUL. I ONLY WANT PEOPLE TO BE AWARE OF THE SITUATION GOING ON IN OUR COMMUNITY WITH THIS PHARMACY. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO BE STOLEN FROM BY THEIR PHARMACY AND THEN BE SHAMED FOR IT AFTERWARDS. IF ITS HAPPENED TO ONE PERSON IT HAS HAPPENED TO MORE! DO NOT RISK IT. MAKE THEM COUNT IT TO YOU!

They never have things done when said. I have been sitting outside for over 20 mins and the I went through drive thru and they said it would be 15 minutes. So I set and waited in the parking lot and it’s not been busy at all. So after 20 minutes giving them an extra 5 minutes I go get in line. One car in-front of me, I sat 12 minutes. I get to the window and she says they have been slammed and haven’t gotten to it yet. Straight lied to my face. They have three or four workers so they were not understaff.

This location has the worst pharmacy staff I've ever dealt with. After 2 trips to their drive thru and approx 40 min. I got my scripts. The staff at the window was obviously overwhelmed and didn't know wth they were doing. Might I suggest an aggressive class on Listening skills! You would have saved everyone alot of time.Walmart is right down the road. So is CVS and Ingles. All of which has got to be more competent than these folks.

5 cars ahead of me in drive thru. Go in and there are 9 people waiting. Neither line is moving. I was going to say hire more help and open another lane, another register but no one wants to work now days. Maybe I'll one star our society as well as the Elizabethton Walgreens. 🙄

All I can say is the people they have running the FedEx portion of the store, could use so much more training!!! I had used their service last month (for the exact say thing I needed done today) and they proclaimed it wasn't possible to do that... When it was done last month!

This Walgreens is terrible. They never have your prescription when they are supposed to. My doctors office called my prescription in at 2:15 yesterday to this Walgreens. Went to pick it up last night and was told they never received it. Called doctors office again this morning and they verified they had called it in to this Walgreens at 2:15. Spoke with pharmacy tech this morning who happened to be the same one that told me they never received the prescription and today she says it was called in to wrong pharmacy. I could understand this happens on occasion but when this happens multiple times on different occasions with different prescriptions I think there must be a breakdown somewhere in the pharmacy. My prescription is Lyrica and missing a dose makes me very sick. I switched to Walgreens due to the convenience of the hours. Lately there has been nothing convenient about my experiences. Not to mention the rudeness of the technicians.

The Elizabethton Walgreens Pharmacy is either completely over worked or completely incompetent!!!! I have used Walgreens for my prescriptions for years. I recently moved to Elizabethton and every since then the problem s started!!! Everything from telling me my insurance wasn’t covering my prescription when I knew it was and hadverified with insurance, next they sent my text saying my prescription was ready when it was not… after a 30 min wait… guess what now wait 30 minutes again, most recently… twice in a row they have only partially filled my prescription (without asking or even mentioning it) then after I get home and realize and call back I then had to wait A WEEK to get the remainder and PAY ANOTHER COPAY, the second time after being made to wait their magical week before I can get the remainder I’m being told I am trying to fill the it EARLY!!!!! Freaking EARLY!!!!! Now I have to wait 4 more days because they messed up twice!!!! WTH!!!! This pharmacy is pitiful!!! When I try to explain what it happening they talk to me like I am stupid and just keep interrupting me and talking over me till I am forced to hang up!!!! I will be contacting corporate this time!!! Enough is ENOUGH!!!!

I get staffing issues are terrible around the country right now and they always claim staffing issues, but it doesn't matter how many people they have crammed back there, it's always mayhem and a crazy wait. Have only used this place three times and my fiance is currently there being told his wait on his prescription will be an hour or two. Wish it wasn't the only place in Elizabethton that has our medication in stock as we are both on the same one. Chaos. Lined up to the other side of the store.

Worst Walgreens Ever. I had two children with very serious illnesses and they couldn't bother to get me the script in a timely manner. I have had to go back several times in one day before. They even sent a text saying it was ready, we showed up and it wasn't. Several times going there they also said they never received the order I call the hospital and they said they sent it. I know that Walgreens was the one lying because it happened with 2 different hospitals and one literally ordered it right in front of me. They have no clue what they are doing there. I switched to CVS finally

Well people this was my first experience of having the cops called because of the staff incompetence and wait time at a pharmacy!!! I waited in line behind 2 cars for 15 minutes then they did not have the scripts for my elderly parent ready and I was told the safe would not open for 5 minutes… I was asked to pull around and get back in line behind what was now 3 other cars( wondering were their scripts ready?) Needless to say I told them I’d wait here. They told me they would call the cops( mind you I’m just trying to get refills for my parents that they were told would be ready today after they tried to get them yesterday after receipt of a text they were ready for pickup). Cops came I spoke with them and left without meds…I’m so glad I do not have to deal with this place for myself as I live in another town, just trying to help out my parents.. This is a good example of why we should all shop small, local, hometown businesses!! I do!!! Even my pharmacy…WALGREENS has grown to the level of incompetence…rude, uncaring, unprofessional, and incompetent staff… other reviews seem to say the same…they don’t even deserve 1 star….

Always a horrible experience and the most stressful part of me having to get medication each month. Each month, I call to make sure the correct discount card is on there, I’m told oh yes it is, get down there and for way too many times to count have been overcharged by at least 50$ because they refuse to fix it. They are all rude, and if dreading a pharmacy visit every month doesn’t tell you something about this place, I have plenty of instances where I was humiliated in line as they announced my medication list to all that were in line. Horrible place and wish it would shut down.

Do not go here for COVID testing. You have to make an appointment which is weird because you will end up sitting in the line for an hour and a half due to lack of communication. There's no signage indicating which line you're supposed to go into and they're doing both pharmacy and covid testing. Unless they are double booking appointments there's no possible way the six people ahead of me were actually here at their appointment time. One lane for testing, one for pharmacy and some signs would make a world of difference. Get it together Walgreens.

This location needs help! The pharmacy needs management and training for all staff. The staff members do not know their jobs. They often have to explain how to use their own computers to each other. Elizabethton Walgreens is the slowest pharmacy. They will also change your medicine if they are out of stock for a "similar" medicine. Oh no! Go to Erwin walgreens, they know how to get the prescription to the correct patient and within minutes!

I have had mostly good experiences with Walgreens pharmacies in general across the nation. I’ve also had a few not so good experiences. But every company has off days. Except this location. They have more issues than anywhere! They more often than not miscount and short medications, unless it’s under 10 tablets. More often than not, a 30 minute wait time turns into a day or two if they have it at all. If they have to “order it” (which is strange because I have gotten the same medication every month for over a year) it takes at least one week, if not longer to get it in. They need to get rid of the entire pharmacy staff, and start over with people who have common sense, a basic education, and can at least count. My toddler has more intelligence than these “pharmacists.”

When professionalism counts the most this Pharmacy does not know the definition of that. I witnessed an associate raise her voice to an elderly person and not one bit of compassion and whatever happened to being nice to customers and thanking them for their business. We can do better that that just don't spend your money there.

DO NOT schedule a COVID test here. I made an appointment and was directed to park until I was called. I left after 2 hours of waiting. I was unable to reach anyone via telephone and there were people lined around the building. They said to wait in my car until someone calls me, but three hours later I still have not received a call.
