They hassle me about my Chihuahua being under the cart. They didn't like it when she was in the child's seat. They tell me she has to be on leash walking on the floor. She's a BP service dog. And much cleaner than a lot of the children I see sitting in the carts. People don't pay attention to where they're going and she's so tiny she might get stepped on. But they now have lost me as a customer. I'll spend my money elsewhere, like Walmart since they don't hassle me about my tiny dog riding in the cart.

Dear food city, self check out is convenient when you have a few items, not when there is a buggy full, so when I finished my shopping, late and tired, to find only self check out available, I just walked out leaving my intended purchases behind. The tiny self check out counters were not designed for full on shopping, sorry for the inconvenience. I hate being a bother truly I do, but I just didn't have it in me to fight with the limited space. I see a fancy new deli and a new wine rack.... maybe spend some money to keep a lane open. Won't go back after being pushed to that, but will remember the good times we had.

Food city isnt much of a city. There's no tourist attractions, or anything fun just residential. There's only one restaurant and it's ok. All of the food that live there aren't very talkative, most the time you won't hear a word from them, but if you get to know the food there realy nice, I'm thinking about moving there.

I only ever shop here because it's is a convenient location. I wish they would just put a Publix in Elizabethton already. This food city ALWAYS smells bad. I got some slices meat from the Deli, and it was way thicker than I asked for, just threw it away. I will only buy sealed products from here, nothing from the deli, meat, bakery, or seafood.

Food City is the best place to shop for variety. I always find fresh deli items and seafood in the seafood shoppe, I like the Neptune salad best

I like going to the one on South Roan because they keep stock well maintained and usually have several registers open if you have a buggy full and also keep the self checkout open for run in and grab something that you need

We were out of town and went here. Prices were great and had some things I didn't see on Florida. Clean, friendly staff, and good prices. When I visit Tennessee, I'll be coming back

Ordered a turkey dinner for our family thanksgiving 11/23. Was the worse ever. Wasn't ready when we went to pickup, at the designated time. Our turkey was to be 16-18lbs. We got 2 small turkey breast. The sides were to be 5 lbs each but we're only 2 lbs each. Green beans were cold. Mashed potatoes were runny, dressing was mush. Oh wow, they give us a pecan pie for not having our order ready, we had to wait for a while. Thank you for ruining our dinner. We will never purchase from your business again.

I live in Hampton but drive to Johnson City to shop at the Food City on State of Franklin because the people at the Elizabethton FC are the most unfriendly, rude people to be in such a competitive service oriented business! Wish I could give it 0 stars.

Clean store, not very busy usually. People there aren't unfriendly but not talkative, they just seem to do there just and get on with the day. Which I find can be better than chatty niceties sometimes. But good food prices. There 5 for 20 deals are good, back at the meats. A lot of sales most the time. Also if you have their value card it takes money off buying gas at the gas n go.

This is a good grocery store but one line open waited forever for checkout and push for self checkout..There are higher on prices then some major stuff then little gem store down road. I don't understand this problem personally of cashier are amazing and stock people helpful not there fault doing there job deserts are weak peanut butter cookies never made u see the produce is fresh A+ if can't get local just need to help consumers more we have faith in our business with you 😀 love the employees kind and helpful please find med ground

If I'm in a hurry and willing to do self checkout, this is where I tend to go. It's not a very big store so it's quicker. However, it gets crowded VERY easily so that tears my nerves up.

I liked shopping @ this Food City. The store was clean & the clerks were helpful. However prices were higher than my store in VA. I know prices are steadily rising, but I wonder how people are going to afford to eat healthy meals? It advertised using local farmers produce, but when I checked the tomatoes, they came from Canada! Doesn't make sense, does it??

Whenever I seem to shop there, the store is out of many items. Not a ton of deals going on or coupons to cushion the higher prices of groceries compared to other stores. It's the closest grocery store to my home which is the only reason I visit the store and the gas discounts for when you shop is a convenience as well which I use as much as I can.The employee's are generally in moderately happy spirits as well.

Prices are generally good - especially with their weekly specials. Some of the stores are looking tired and need updating. Staff continually seen on cellphones instead of their jobs - time better spent cleaning.

Decent prices and selection, but way too tight in the aisles and near the check out stands, and last two times I've been there, there were no carts or baskets. I had to get a cardboard box from one of the cash registers and tote my items in it. This store needs to be at least 50% bigger for the amount of people who shop there.

This grocery store is always lell stocked, clean, and I can always find great bargains. I love the selection of items they have, not just the food items but everything from floral to clothing. The people who work here are always super friendly and helpful. Tha pharmacy staff are very helpful and efficient as well.

The cashier was a bit standoffish. But the prices were low, so we could get more food for our $1's!!!Still very rude teenage cashiers!!This makes me not want to ever shop there again!!Update: As of April 2024, Food City is still the most expensive grocery store in our city...Went there because it was literally the only place open at 9:45pm Saturday night..Only got a small cart full of food and drinks...some veggies and fruits and meats...got a few frozen things to..So with the little bit of food my husband and I got we literally spent $100!!Like how?! We barely got anything!!This is ridiculous! Something needs to happen to lower food prices so regular people can feed their families!!!I believe from now on my husband and I will be shopping at Aldi's...because I know when we shop there at least we will get way more food and spend way less!!Until Food City lowers their food prices my husband and I will be grocery shopping at Aldi's.....!!
