The trail is eroding in some places making it difficult to walk down to the falls and the bathrooms are closed. But the falls was beautiful. You could take a stroller on the trail but it is very steep. Once you get to the parking lot it is fully paved all the way down to the falls but there are cracks in the concrete where it is eroding awayRestrooms: Restrooms were closed I don't know if it is a seasonal thing or if they are closed permanently.

Smaller than expected but was still beautiful full of nature it was a short walk there but beware of inclines on the way back up and steepness on the way there being late in Pregnantcy not recommended especially in the hot heat when we went there April/27/2024 the bathrooms were closedParking: Plenty of parking spaceDog-friendliness: Great place to walk your dogs

Nice little concreted walk to a double layered waterfall. (The fall only runs after a good snow/rain.) The bathrooms were closed the last two times, so don't rely on those to be open, but it's an easy area to reach. The walkway down is easy for anything as long as there is no walking impediment - the walkway can get a little steep.

It's a nice stop off of the trace. The waterfall isn't rushing or amazing. But, it is a nice short hike to get out and see what's out there. Though it is a fairly short walk to the falls, it may be steep for some people.

We saw very little wild life while on the Natchez Trace but we did see this owl at Jackson Falls! Super cool. Beautiful place.Fees: It's free!Restrooms: Great restrooms.Dog-friendliness: Take fido!

Cool park. Would be better to visit when there has been recent rain to provide a bit more flow over the falls, but still a great place to check out either way. Heads up - as of the time of this review, the public restrooms were not in service. Also, this is not a place I'd recommend for really small kids or elderly.Parking: Free parking, but could get tight during certain times.Restrooms: Not in service at the time of this review.

Beautiful and a nice easy walk but very steep. I'm 40 years old and my kids are 12 so it was easy for us but I could see some older people struggling or young kids. Be careful where you walk is slippery on the path and obviously if you go in the waterfall it's very slippery.

What else can I say but that this is where heaven literally hides on earth. Best time to go was during the week. Definitely going back for the sanctuary and peace it provided! Be sure to wear water shoes or good rugged sneakers, it had just rained so very wet and muddy but absolutely worth the trek down if you can manage.

Loved this place, had some beautiful nature and falls. This is a great place to take photos, even fun for children to get in the water and play. Definitely recommend checking this place out, you won't regret it!

Jackson Falls is gorgeous, but the trail is a steep 900ft walk down hill including bridges, stairs and paved pathways. It's worth the hike but take your time.Parking: Open, uncoveredRestrooms: Restrooms are closed at this location, but some are within a mile.

The sign for this is VERY sudden when heading north and I was looking for it even... glad I caught it and took a hike down to the fall. The climb back is a good cardio workout for sure.Restrooms: There were restrooms, but they looked taped off.

A very nice path walkway will take you to the ideal viewing spot for Jackson Falls. The are two separate parking area to access the falls, one is much closer than the other. Even though the paved walkway begins at the closer lot, both trails are manageable, however only the one that descends is paved. Definitely worth the walk down to see it. It is a popular spot so photo opportunities can be a challenge.

I'm proud to be from TN! We have such beautiful waterfalls. Jackson Falls being one of them! This is perfect to bring your kids and dogs to. You have to make it down a pretty steep trail, but don't worry because there is a handrail to hold onto. But pack plenty of water! Lol. Once you make it down the trail kick off your shoes and dip your feet into the cool water. It was pretty packed when my son and I got there, but it was around noon on a Saturday when we got there. So I'd say best chance to enjoy it to yourself would probably be early in the morning. There's another waterfall 15 minutes away from this one called Fall Hollow Falls that I definitely recommend too.

This is an easy 0.4 mi double back trail. It is paved all the way down to the falls. I would wait to go after a really good rain. I was lucky enough to visit in the spring after the area had several days of heavy rain. Depending on the time of day you go, enjoying the falls alone is possible. I was able to sit down for about 45 mins without another person.

Great paved walk down to the falls from the parking lot. It is a steep path, though. It's very much worth the hike down!

Quite a lovely falls. The trail is paved but VERY steep. Easy for the young, but not for those with mobility limitations without help. Wooden bridges are VERY slippery when wet.Dog-friendliness: Our dog loved it.

Moderate hike, flat surface but going down hill (it has hand rails to help). The hike to the river is maybe 1/2 mile. Beautiful multi-tiered waterfall that most people slide down when the water level is up. Going up above the fall is a winding gorgeous walk on the rocks (when water level is low) or in the stream when a bit higher. Remember it is an uphill walk out but not to tough for the average person or kids.

Beautiful... absolutely beautiful. My wife and I are in our mid 50's and out of shape yet we were very able to make the trip down to the falls. Well worth the effort. Very peaceful.Restrooms: Restrooms were closed...looked like long term.

We arrived about 8:00 AM and were the first ones there for an hour. We did the Overlook trail first, encounter many spiderwebs spanning the trail and a few steep sections where we needed to hold our kids hands. The view at the overlook is nice but we'd probably skip doing it again especially since you can pull off the Trace right at the overlook. The walk down to Jackson Falls is paved but still pretty steep. Once at the bottom there are a few makeshift ways down to the water and with recent rain made for a very slippery couple of steps. Be careful!

Very cute little spot. Pretty steep climb down but it is paved. To get up to the falls (some people were even sliding down them) you have to use a little skill bc it is slippery and you mainly have to grab roots and such to get up. If you go PAST the falls at the top and keep going it is a beautiful creek I got rewarded alone time with bc the falls got busy VERY quickly with familes mainly. The restrooms are closed until further notice but there are several "hiding spots" if you really need to pee lol. Just practice LeAve NO TracE!! It was very clean and I'd love it to stay that way. Also pretty quiet if you climb away from the main falls.

This was a fantastic weekend trip. Fall day, low humidity, and the Natchez Trace is always a beautiful drive. This waterfall was my favorite of the day. The access was paved and made it a safe hike for a non hiker. It’s steep, the walk up wasn’t pleasant, but it was worth it!

This is a beautiful home and definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area. Their are two main ways to get to the falls. If you're coming from the Franklin area the longer hike to the falls is just a few minutes before the shorter one. The longest hike is only a third of a mile and only takes about ten minutes, the shorter hike is only about 2 minutes. I recommend the longer one as it connects you onto the shorter one. It has beautiful views along the way and neither are intense hikes. The longer hike only has difficult section and it's right at the beginning for only about ten feet (it's just loose dirt ground that can make it easy to slip) I've done all sorts of hiking and this trail is one that's fine even for beginners. Also, the shorter trail can be done in a wheel chair as long as you have someone strong enough to control it on the way down. The short trail is almost all paved so the only difficulty will be having to control and hold the chair from rolling.

A nice little place with great shade from the trees surrounding the creek. There were several families enjoying the coolness of the water. The hike down is all paved and there are stairs were it gets really steep.
