I think most of the dissatisfied people leaving reviews are from out of town, maybe? Sure, I've had some "not quite great " dishes but, it's sure not the wait staff's fault! The service has been AWESOME the 4 years I've been eating there! I notice no change in that since the storm. Love my "catfish Friday " and every time I have breakfast there. I give 5 stars. I'm always treated like a king. Love Kountry Korner!

Friendly service amd the food is excellent. I got the catfish fillet plate special and it was great. You don't have to hunt for the fish on this plate. Other resturants serve pieces of fish half this size and at a higher price.

This was our first time back since it has opened back up and we were very impressed. It was so nicely decorated. The food was delicious. We both ordered grilled chicken with baked potato and salad. They have the best ranch dressing, it must be homemade. We also had hot rolls with delicious STRAWBERRY BUTTER!! It was so good. And to top it off, the service was excellent! We will definitely be regular customers 🤗

Before the storm they were famous for their breakfast biscuits, I know people who would drive from uc just for their sausage and biscuits, now they are always burnt to a crisp, completely black, when I asked them why ,they said yes we know but we won't throw them away, someone will buy them, I think a couple of 10 year olds could run the place better, it is really a shame.

Loved coming here before the tornado but, I have to say that the service has taken a decline since the rebuild. I've been here for nearly an hour. No one was here when we arrived. Now 6 tables who arrived after us have their food and we are still waiting. I was told that the guy who fries the fish came in late. What happens if he takes a day off? Nobody gets fish all day?? I usually tip $10.00 or better. Not today. Also, medium rare, for some reason they can't get that one right since the rebuild. Keep getting it over done. After waiting an hour to get it when we were the first ones here, it could at least be cooked right.

I have eaten here several times in my life and I have to say since the rebuild it is not what it used to be. My wife and I went today and we are accustomed to waiting a while but I made the mistake of ordering a BBQ sandwich. The meat was hard as brick and when we tried to pull it off it was like the whole thing was a dried microwaved patty. Pulled pork should never be this way. I told the waitress and she grabbed the ticket and scribbled it off of there and walked off. Firstly it is not my fault you served a poor quality sandwich to me. Secondly if someone has a plate full of fries and you serve that poor excuse of a meal to a customer to eat don't charge them for the fries and drink at the counter. You ruined their meal "eat the cost of your mistake". It makes me wonder how old my food was to begin with.

We loved how clean, bright, well stocked and lots of choices. Clean bathrooms too which was refreshing.It was a great place to stop and walk around a little bit too.

So glad that they rebuilt and reopened. One of my favorite restaurants in the area. Great place to take the whole family. Great food and friendly servers. They have just reopened and are still trying to restaff so it will take a little longer than normal to get your food. But if you understand that going in, I definitely recommend this place.

We waited over a half hour for our food. Everybody that came in after us got there food and ate plus paid and left before we got anything. I don't blame the waitress but a simple meal shouldn't take over a half hour to make. I doubt very seriously if we go back.

Had the ham steak breakfast this morning. It was ok. Ham was sandwich thin and dry plus had had a funny taste. Biscuits and non-homeade gravy with eggs was good. The two little ladies working were great. Suggestion start making more from scratch and not out of a box

We were a party of 5 everyone enjoyed the food. They serve full menu all day. Only issue was that like most places right now they are short staffed however was quick friendly and still full service. Bathrooms were clean and stocked. So thank you

Eat here quite often. Food is usually good and if not which is rare they will fix the issue quickly and courteously. Austin is our favorite server, he is friendly, polite, and appropriately attentive to his customers. Recommend checking them out for their lunch specials, breakfast is good too.

Kountry Korner is definitely the best place to eat anytime! Very clean, food is great along with great service. The owners Terry and Laura Woodruff are wonderful. I worked for them for several years, you won't find any better people!! They both work VERY HARD at their business to make sure things are done right! Love these people!!

Had to pay twice for our food because Austin argued with the waitress who said we paid and he made us pay again. Waited 45 minutes for "homemade" biscuits. Got the food home we live 10-15 minutes away and everything was cold including the "fresh" biscuits. When calling back to talk to Austin he argued with me the whole time on the phone. NEVER will I give them my service again. My father in law comes in from Texas and uncle from MI to hunt and they have always ate there after hunting and they have said they will never return after the service they received today.

There were smiles, and friendly face. A little bit of everything sodas, hunting gear, food, tobacco, convenience items. An attached diner which was closed at the time, however has good country type cooking.

Always like home! No matter how many times I go here, it's always the place to be seen whether you want to or not! The food is good, and everyone in this little town will be by your table to check out how your food looked today. Everything is cooked inhouse. I recommend the daily meat & 3 specials & a piece of the Hospitality Pie for dessert. Don't forget to ask for strawberry butter for your roll! There's plenty of parking to the far side & a door on that side comes through the store to the restaurant, just in case the weather is bad. The crowd will include everyone from utility linemen on lunch break to local judges, secretaries, & students; so dress is diverse to match the crowd. It is attached to a convenience/gas station/hunting store, so it will never be considered upscale, just good comfort food where everybody's welcome.

This place used to be good. Tonight 2 different serving of catfish was so thin it may as well not have been fish! It was also very hard with no flavor. 350 mile trip for hushpuppies...this was my last visit to kountry korner.Update: Owner's Response: Response from the owner 7 hours ago September 13, 2022Bizarre that you would drive 350 miles for a restaurant exclusively. Makes sense though, Alabama food is very much as mediocre as their sports teams. Next time bring some of those fish you're catching at the tournaments.My response September 13, 2022 It took 4 years for the owner to respond. We had 9 people in our party that night. The waitress even took some items off of the bill when she saw the food.What is really funny, my review was written when I lived in Atlanta, Georgia...4 years ago. We are in Alabama now, so the owner takes a shot at Alabama food and sports teams. Incidentally I am a very hardcore University of Tennessee and Atlanta Braves Fan.Unprofessional response and attitude projected to the extreme!This was not my first visit to Kuntry Korner or my family's first visit, thus the negative review.Hopefully the post tornado rebuild will bring a better dining experience and improvement to the food. Maybe even a better attitude to the owner.BTW...I'm not sure the current owner was the owner back in 2018.
