Incredibly nice young man at the front desk. ONLY plus to this motel. Key entry Incredibly difficult several tries and make sure you don't have anything in your hands and if you stay for more than one night, need a new pass key for the second day. Room was not clean, bug in the bathroom. No breakfast as advertised, one towel, no housekeeping unless requested and then it took 6 hours to get toilet paper. NEVER STAY HERE.

You get what you pay for here.. No money put back into the rooms- carpet curtains musty old since 1990s. A/C units, bathroom fans beat out. Bed mattress was new but lacked the protective coverings. Seemed to be an overnighter for homeless, and/or out of state manual labors.Rooms: Bring Spray lysol, place smells. 1990 decor. Not even fresh paint. Just sleep then get out of there.Nearby activities: Owen's local Breakfast Lunch worth trying. Douglass Lake has several marinas and an overlook at the Dam that is worth 7 mile drive to see.

If you're in a crunch and need somewhere to stay that won't cost $100+ a night, then this is your place. Be aware that you get what you pay for. The "secure" doors that you're supposed to use your key card for open freely, the fire alarms went off briefly 4 times during my stay (including once at 3 am), despite what it may say online - there's a sign in the lobby that says "no breakfast", so you'll need to pop over to Shoney's or somewhere else for a bite to eat. Other than that, it's in a good location right off the exit. I gave 3 stars for service for the lady at the front desk who helped but management needs to step up their game on managing their property (I would have given 5 stars for her help alone, but I have to consider the property management issues). I'll get a blanket response to this by management saying they're sorry I didn't enjoy my stay, but we don't want apologies. We want you to fix the problems.

This hotel leaves a lot to be desired. There was no breakfast. We were told there would be coffee, hot chocolate and muffins/donuts. There was only coffee. Instead of the little bottles of soap, shampoo and conditioner there were 3 dispensers on the shower wall. The conditionel bottle was empty. The towels felt like sandpaper. Our stay on 1 December will be the last time we stay at this hotel. The only good thing is the hotel is right across the street from a Shoney's. Shoney's is always a good bet! And there are other hotels right beside this hotel. I do not recommend this hotel.

We walked in to a hotel that smelled like stale smoke. There was a roach on the wall as soon as we entered our room. The walls were visibly dirty and stained. The beds at least looked clean. At first we thought the AC was broken because we could not get it to turn on, however it eventually kicked in. It would only cycle on for short periods though, so it never really got to a comfortable temperature. Despite making the reservation over the phone specifically so I could tell them we were bringing our dog, the front desk person got upset when we brought our dog in and told us he would charge us $150 because he didn't realize we'd have one. The back door was completely open all night - the key card reader there is busted so it's just left unlocked. It was an unpleasant experience and we were eager to leave the next morning.

From the lobby’s to the room everything smells like smoke and after hours there are no security measures. Back door was propped open, when I closed the door it doesn’t close or lock. I told front desk staff and he said no worry, it doesn’t lock no need for key 😮 def don’t feel safe and hate the smell!!!!!!Rooms: From the lobby’s to the room everything smells like smokeSafety: after hours there are no security measures. clean neat rooms, average price, staff very friendly once you get to know them, for me the location is great, not too close to the larger more busy areas, not too far away, and within 5 minutes of relatives in the area.Nearby activities: the location is within 30 - 40 minutes or less to Sevierville, so all the local attractions, shows and parks.

Very loud humming noise every few minutes. Sleep was impossible. Light bulb out and phone to front desk did not work.Noteworthy details: I won't stay there again.

Spent two nights there this weekend. Not terrible but the manager on duty Saturday was absolutely the rudest I have ever encountered. I ask to change rooms because my AC wasnt working but 5 minutes and would shut off. She said all of the A/C's worked the same and that was normal. She was literally screaming. She refused to give my money back so I could change hotels after refusing to move us in this hotel. I have stayed there in the past but with the new owners, I will be staying next door to them.At $114 per night, I do EXPECT the A/C to work properly.

First time staying in smoking room here. No bottle of shampoo. Filthy walls. Electric outlet in batroom and connecting wall by bed didn't work. Sink did not drain well.I was very shocked because I usually visit twice a yr.Food & drinks: Shoneys across the street but not that great. Wendy's and waffle house are down the hill. Food is good. Also there's a gas station right there

I stayed here to help out a friend who reserved a room to bring her special needs child to swim in their pool. There's not a lot of parking at all, you have the option to park on the side facing the building right outside your window and walk around to the back entrance, or in the back there is a small gravel area to pull into. I believe there might be a little bit of parking in the front as well but not a lot. This is a two-story hotel with no elevators so if you have to stay on the upper level, you will be carrying your belongings up a flight of stairs. I've seen a lot of reviews about the smell of smoke in the hallways. The smell is still very much there, as it was a month ago according to other reviews. I am a smoker myself, and the very strong smell of cheap cigarettes that are probably being chain-smoked in a small area with no ventilation is not pleasant to say the least. I propped the back entry door open with the door stopper to try to air out the hallway area given the fact that there was a medically fragile child with us. But each time I propped it open, the same gentleman would walk around from outside and close it shortly after. Im guessing that this hotel is used as a permanent (or temporary) residence for some people, given the fact that the same cigarette smell has been ongoing for so long. I noticed that multiple doors have been repaired/patched and painted over with an off colored paint leaving the attempted repair very poorly hidden. There's one washer and one dryer at the back exit which I also noticed stayed occupied with black trash bags full of clothes scattered around it and piles of clothes on top of the washer. The walls are extremely thin. The room next to us was extremely noisy with kids screaming and crying at 8:00 a.m. and it sounded like they were in the room with us. Somebody was trying to open the door to our adjoining room so we called the front office twice and they seemed to have handled it because it became a little quieter afterward. The room smelled great compared to the smell you endure when you open the door and step out into the hall. Everything seemed pretty decent in the rooms, but I still felt unclean just from the experience with the rest of the hotel areas. The moment I left, I immediately went home to shower and washed my clothes because I felt like the smell was stuck to me. The room had two queen size beds and only two old (but clean) towels were provided. No pool towels. Very small and very cold pool. I have no idea how their breakfast is, I don't eat where I don't feel clean, and I wouldn't even bring food inside the building let alone eat something that's made there. So if you're on the road and very tired and desperate for a night's sleep I would possibly recommend it if you don't mind the smell of cheap cigarettes and dirty carpets in the hall. But if you care about cleanliness and willing to pay a little bit more for it, I highly recommend trying the hotel next door just as we did the following night.

Whole place smelled like majiuana. The sheets were dirty when we walked in. They replaced them. Then the heat in the room didn't work. It was 25 degrees outside. They brought us a space heater. Then we realized the room was roach infested. We couldn't leave bc everyone was sold out. We were offered a refund if we leave. Then offered 30$ refundif we stay.

We were told we have a non-smoking room however the entire hallway reeked of smoke and there was even a man smoking in the hallway. There was no breakfast and the coffee was some instant stuff. We Wayover paid for one night, but it was the only thing around the time. This was my first and last experience with a super 8. Also the outside/side entrance doors were left unlocked because we were told that it was a safe area so there’s no need to lock the doors.

I give Super 8 4 stars because the people that run this hotel are awesome! Plenty of parking, even around back if you have a U-Haul truck or are pulling a trailer. The room was clean although it just looks dated. You can definitely tell someone cares about this property. The bed and the pillows are very comfy. Nice size flat screen and very clean bathroom. The Quality Inn is across the road however it's not worth the difference in the money to pay for more expensive hotel when you're really basically getting the same quality here.

Me and my mom made a reservation for a non smoking pet free room! The price was $130 for room 216 so we were expecting a clean room however when we walked in it reeked of cigarette smoke and there were numerous stains, ash burns in the blankets, appliances were nasty, the walks had blood and what looked like coffee and pop dripping down the walls from ceiling to floor. We returned to the front desk and after showing the very understanding front desk lady pictures of the room she put us in 207 which was cleaner and didn’t smell like smoke! The room had mold and was still unclean but we had a long trip just wanted some sleep. We checked the bed for bugs but didn’t see any. The beds were comfortable but we will never stay here again!!! Totally over-priced!

I have to travel out of state quite frequently for my job and it's always nice to find a good place to stay for the night. The room is very nice and the location is right off the exit from IH 40. They even have good parking places for big trucks and I was able to park mine right out where I can see it from the room... just the way I like it when traveling out of state in company trucks. The photo shows the view from my window with the truck parked right where I can see it.Pricing is good for this area at $80 per night and the rooms are spacious, clean, and well equipped with refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. There's also a table and chairs and plenty enough space for luggage.

My wife and I had stayed there before and it was fine but that was eight years ago. This time it was awful during our overnight stay on 9/26/2020. The guy at the front desk was rude. Our non-smoking room was in a hallway that smelled like a 1970s bar complete with multiple cigarette burn holes in the mattress. The bathroom was disgusting including a toilet seat that almost slid off when used. Throw in the noisy idiots around us in several rooms and that iced it. We will NEVER be back.

🛎👻🕯 HAUNTED! 👀The lady at the front desk is super nice! However, our last night there, we had to walk down to the front desk to talk to the lady working about what was happening. My 16 year old niece woke me up scared saying that she seen a black color figure standing over her while in bed, and it turned around and walked back into the bathroom! After I woke up, with a few lights on, we both could here something in the bathroom , and sounded as if people were walking around yet no one was there in our room awake but us. It felt eerie & odd there! I’ve stayed in many hotels, and this is the creepiest one yet! The eerie stuff happens between 12-3am! We decided to take random photos to see if anything showed up. Well, it did! Orbs & shadows and weird stuff in our photos. I wish I could post the photos here but it doesn’t give me the option! However, if that’s anyones thing, it’s room 219! 👀Good luck! 😬..
