Got treated like I was a thief. It has new management.. I was at the self checkout and a new manager came over and counted my cart items after I rang them up . I felt she was silently accusing me of thievery. Another one of the help kept staring very unfriendly towards me and watched me all the way through check out and leaving the store. I wasn't the only one they did this too. I will never go back to that store. The store is very nice. The employees are not at all!!

Close to home. Convenient. Has some stocking issues. They run low on milk and dairy items sometimes. Because it is a new store, I feel many of these issues will be fixed over time. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Had to run there at the last minute Wednesday night, which is tonight pretty close to the time not quite went in there I had to get a few things paid for the overpriced milk need some drinks and some food as far as the drinks went they had the three packs for $14 on sale already had my hands full. I didn’t have a buggy at the time, and so I grabbed one of the 12 packs which is right by the so when I got to the cash store, let her know that I’m gonna grab two more on my way out. I want to get three of them for the sale. She told me no she couldn’t do that that I had to bring all 312 packs over to her before I could leave with it so she can scan them well she didn’t scan all three she scanned one three times which at that point in time she lied to me about that let alone later to find out she’s the manager there were still a few customers in there shopping and it was right at closing time so they were starting starting to close the doors and stuff as I was leaving. I accidentally forgot my keys in there and I remembered the whole reason why I was going there anyways was to pick up cigarettes. There wasn’t a while there stores around in the area to get , so the guy at the door even said that there were customers in there shopping he didn’t see why I couldn’t so he asked the lady who is the manager as if I went ahead and came back in real quick to get the cigarettes and she told him no she couldn’t do that yada yada yada and I’m like OK I just spent a bunch of money in here and you can’t be nice and let me buy pack of cigarettes while you still have customers in here real quick and she told me not just as far as I’m concerned, I will never shop there I would rather just take my time and drive to Newport if I need something late at night again or else never will I shop here again with rude people like that work in there that’s just rude and plate we’re community here and you’re kind of the community store. You shouldn’t treat your community like that and I really enjoyed the convenience of that store being there but now that has changed if you’re going to be rude and I will bring green in this even further up the ladder . The gentleman that was at the door was very nice and polite. I’ll give you props, but the lady inside who I found out through him was the manager yeah that new management there is no better I would’ve never treated my customer like that especially knowing that they were just there spending money and I still had customer still shopping inside the store. I would’ve said sure you can come in and get a pack of cigarettes. I already know you were here, I was right outside the door and turned back around you just you’re rude

Enjoying the Days

Being in Cosby, DG Market offers a convenient place to grab some groceries and supplies without having to go all of the way to Newport. It is not a full grocery store, yet you can find a lot there. The prices are not what one might expect from a discount store, yet, again, it saves us from having to drive to Newport as often. We will continue to utilize the store and send others there for convenience.

I stopped by for a few basic grocery items but ended up leaving without purchasing any. The bananas were covered in fruit flies, and the meat looked questionable. They didn't have most of the produce I was hoping to purchase, and what they did have was grossly overpriced. Overall, the store was very dirty. If you need a few paper goods, this is a good place to try. If you are looking for real food, I'd recommend going elsewhere.

It's bad enough that the nepotism rules were broken to begin with, but to fire the better employee,..complaints have grown at this new location greatly, the Regional MG won't even return messages.. it's sad that a well bodied employee MANAGER would take a parking space in front row of parking area knowing older folks that don't display a handy sticker need to be close also.... KEEP THIS UP IT'LL BE IN THE SAME SHAPE AS THE ONE THAT'S EMPTY...SHSPESHAPE

This is one of the better Dollar generals in town. a lot of them seem to be ravaged because of all the tourists that come through and forget last minute things that they have to pick up so a lot of times the shelves are pretty empty but this Dollar general is pretty consistent about keeping shelves stocked and check out lines reasonably situated. I 😘 be hitting dollar general after a holiday and getting sales on items marked down.

Great place to shop. The staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are good. Some stuff is very generic meaning that it is cheaply made. They have good sales and they have a wide variety of goods. Stop by and check them out. I noticed one of the pictures had a 90% sale. I wish I would have known that. Maybe next time. God bless you all.

I’ve been shopping here for awhile but now the store is in disarray .The restrooms have been out of order for 4-5 weeks,yesterday you couldn’t get down the aisles because of stock as long as the aisles , not put up. Usually there’s one cashier and people lined up to pay. I have just walked out and went elsewhere.Is it not a health violation that if you have a public business , you haveto have a restroom? Are they really out of order or the staff just don’t want to clean them? I guess they don’t want to accommodate the public!

I tried using a mobile coupon at this store for some reason it was not taking it off my total. The cashier didn't have a clue about it and got the manager. Well after several minutes of her try to get it to work she said she really didn't know why it wouldn't work but then again she that she didn't much about them. Well hello your a manager this is your job to know otherwise how can u help your customer let alone try your employees. I mean I would think she could have at least taken it off manually but never offered. Well there were several people lined up behind me so I just told her forget it and left with buying the item. Dollar General please try your managers otherwise don't make them a manager the cashier was a much help as she was.

This store is ridiculous, BARE SHELVES ALL THE TIME!!!! Go in for something simple and they never have it. Multiple stops there to give them another chance and guess what NO, NO, NO!!! I will not shop there again. Not worth my time or aggravation. I feel bad because the staff is super friendly and they take the brunt of it.

Great place to buy most things you need! While the name is "Dollar General" the prices do not share that sentiment. Everything is priced around the same as a Target or Walmart. In the area, there aren't too many options of buys groceries or supplies, so this is wonderful to have.

Was good the place is open , Free Parking , wear masks before entering the building. Not handicap friendly . Has handicap parking. Restrooms where closed. The outside was a bit dirty and inside was ok had what I needed fritos corn chips and salsa dip. Plus Energy Drinks. They also have phone cards like verizon, Tracfone, . Gift cards to restaurant's and Visa Money Cards. Just Didn't like the set up of the parking.

This is my favorite DG store out of all the ones in our area. The ppl that work there are awesome and take pride in running the store properly. All of the ladies have excellent customer service and always go above and beyond to be helpful. The store is well organized and they stay on top of keeping all the stickers changed out for the right sales at the right time. You can't even walk thru the aisles at some of the other local DG stores and the other stores never have things properly tagged. I don't think it's employee fault at those stores tho, I think they are just extremely understaffed. But the Cosby DG always keeps up with what's going on and goes above and beyond to help. I shop there often for this reason. Keep up the good work ladies!! You all are awesome.

The new Finger Dollar General is very much appreciated. Saves us half the mileage from home to a store. I f you sold American Spirit cigarettes and Icehouse beer we wouldn't have to drive anywhere else. Seriously.

On my way to the GSMNP and we forgot to get ice for the cooler. Stopped at two gas stations before we ended up at Dollar general. They had ice, the gas stations didn't. They were also cheaper than the gas stations.....that was out of ice.

Bare shelves and multiple shelves full of one size of an item. 100% genuine dollar general experience. Bought some Nabs that tasted like 2001 and were mostly dust.

I thought at first it was very convienient to have one near home , until my wife and I were greeted by a host of officers accusing us of stealing from this store .Little does or did the store realize my wife hadn't left the house since Christmas this is March 01 2019 that we were arrested & it happened supposedly in feb and anyone including professionals know MY wife wasn't there because of her cptsd . This arrest was and still is humiliating not only for me but her also and it sent her Into a bad place mentally and has caused a just of problems .. So watch your every move and always have alibis because you will go jail if they don't like you . Still trying get it sorted out ..and it wasn't the store there by high school, it was on hopper hwy.And anyone who knows us or her they'll tell you to that's nots our cup of tea to steal. .... Smh😫😱😵😡

Was in there 1 week ago. Cereal isle was practically empty, 3 cartons of eggs were missing at least one egg. The shelves in most isles were in disarray. This is probably the worst dollar general I have ever been in. Does this place even have a management?

Seems to have a problem keeping stuff in stock, Clorox bathroom cleaner, Clorox 2, freezer items, cigarettes some cartons are sold by the pack so you're charging more by pack than by the carton. It should be against the law.

Too many carts in the way you cant even get through the store. It's been that way since Ronda retired. They just lazy they stay on their phones instead of putting the stock up.
