So i went in here to get something, I saw this rat laying there looking absolutely miserable and I felt so bad for her that I got her and asked a few questions like how old she was and if something was wrong with her, nobody could answer one single question, so turns out she was fine she was just pregnant... I'm just glad I got her and am caring for her and these babies because no telling how they would be doing if I left her there.

Clean and well stocked. Cashier was extremely polite. Made casual conversation about the products u was purchasing. Seemed like he genuinely cared about the fur babies we have. Offered help with the pet tag printing machine. I will definitely be back here. Excellent job Petco Cordova. 👏

I take my two grandsons to Petco. We visit McDonald's first and to see all of the animals at Petco is always our next stop. They love to the fish of so many colors, and the birds, snakes, spiders, hamsters, and others as well. It is so exciting for them. Through a glass window, they can watch dogs being groomed.

Great customer service, a lot of healthy animals. They were redoing the fish tanks but had lots of other things. My little girl got to play with the dogs and cats. Loved the ferrets. She wants a snake for her birthday. But I think the leopard gecko is what she liked the most. The groomers helped me get the right medicine for my dog. Overall great place.

One of the few Petco left within the Memphis area. This location is well situated, and they usually keep well stocked aquarium supplies if I need a quick grab. The Bettas and Plakats here are well kept as well, which I did get one from here.

I have just left Cordova location. I needed a filter for my fish to live and I get home and the filter I bought has the main thing missing from it so now I have to stay up all night long to keep my fish alive because your product was missing a main component. What do I need to do about this? This is the third time this is happened.

Great variety of dog foods for our recentl rescue. There some items on sale which i always enjoy. Unfortunately the cashier didn't take the time to help me get the most from the sale. :(

The employees are always rude and slow. The prices online are different from in store. There are many sales on their website but in person you have to get the check out person to price match or else you're paying full price. Really outdated or something, everywhere else if the website has an offer, the store should automatically have the same offer too.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! I am livid with the work of this grooming done by TIMIKA YOU should be ashamed! You Ruined our princesses birthday! She looks terrible!! Like a wet dirty poodle! Which she’s neither! I can’t believe you! Im so pissd words can’t form! All I know is You’ll NEVER GET OUR BUSINESS AGAIN! & Ill be certain to let friends and family know not to as well! Im literally in tears my poor bella looks a hot mess! She’s supposed to have professional pictures taken! So much for that! THANKS FOR NOTHING!

Didn't have what I was looking for but the staff was nice and the store was clean. They have small animals, reptiles, fish and birds. All the animals looked healthy and their containers were all clean. They have lots of merchandise to choose from. I would definitely recommend this place.

Got my dogs nails clipped and a bath... She is a 9 month old Rottweiler, and I was a little leery at first, but they took exception care of my baby and I will be bringing her back once a month... Petco is the best.... Marvel had her first spa treatment... Lol

Pleasant shopping experience. Also my wife volunteers to assist with the cats that are In Store for adoption....always some really cool cats and kittens...we recently adopted another....thst makes 7 cats now so petco is like a 2nd grocery store for using our feline family....thanks petco for awesome product and allowing the cats a place to chill until they are adopted....

The agent's attitude was really bad. Nobody stayed at the cash counter and we tried to ask for the cashier to come. She was not happy and blamed us that "Didn't you see the ring?" But the calling ring was hidden inside the counter and no sign was presented in the store saying to find that ring. Slow and rude and unpleasant shopping experience.

We received the medication within 2 weeks range. Hart guard and nexguard medication should be off on your control list since there is a prescription faxed and if you receive the prescription . Your middleman company should expedite the order. Most veterinary office would not cooperate by giving information after the prescription is handed to the patient. They gave us hard time and would like to purchase the medication with them with high price. The front people even told us that your company is not precise in sending the dosage. I fight for your company but never been backed up and never get my medication for a week. You should ease and lessen the strict requirements by accepting fax and not placing the customer in between the vet office and your company. Your sales staff makes mw call my vet which doesn’t want to release anything.

Lack of staff. We walked around looking for someone to help us get a couple mice and it took us ovdr 30 mins to find someone and get them to help. By the time we got.someone to help they had 2 other people also waiting for mice. Lady was super nice but I think she was the only person in the whole store. I understand being understaffed but that's ridiculous

Love this location. Everyone is friendly. I like the cut my furbaby received. First time, in a very long time, he has been to a store for grooming. I love that he didn't seem stressed when I picked him up. Still happy and full of energy to play. Stylist was very nice and informative.

As a Leopard Gecko mom I DO NOT approve of how they crowd those leopard geckos in there , Leopard Gecko like to have their own space . They also tell the customers the wrong information. I know it’s a learning process for new hires but encourage your people in the reptile department to do more research on these reptiles if they are going to continue to work in the reptile department. And the small meal worms I buy from the store I get home and the majority of them are dead and dried out 😑

Horrible service because no one came to help when we asked. Just left us standing for 15 minutes then acted surprised when we said we will be going elsewhere. Also fish were dying and animals acting hungry. Either staff needs better training or they need to hire better employees.

I should start this review by stating that the employees I interacted with were perfectly polite and tried to help solve my issue - but it's clear who I can only assume was the manager by her attitude, wasn't as interested in being helpful.there was a pricing issue at the register, and I walked back to physically show them that what I asked for were ghost shrimp. The staff seemed interested in correcting the mistake until the other associate(Manager?) rushed over to talk over us all and just repeat "it's whatever price is directly under the tank". Which makes sense, but irrelevant when I asked for something specific, by name.1.) I asked for ghost shrimp (.49). They gave me four small shrimp in bag.2.) I arrive at the register, it rings up (7.99) per.3.) I point out the error, stating that I asked for ghost shrimp4.) We walk back and I'm told I'm being charged correctly and they point out the amano shrimp tag (not what I asked for - and listed at 3.99 per, so still not what they were charging me for)5.) At this point, I just feel scammed and refuse to buy the fish altogether, and got regrettably snarky, but it doesn't matter now because I'll be visiting competitors instead.It's also worth noting that when we approached checkout all the lanes were empty of staff - who were moving about stocking the store. One lady, who I would later assume to be the manager, walked out of what looked like a storage room or an office near the registers, saw us waiting to check out, and went back to what she was doing. At this point another very helpful, polite employee stopped what they were doing on the floor to come check us out. Maybe I'm wrong and that wasn't the manager, but if it was, it's a shame that her staff were so much better at guest care than her. Very disappointing, as this location was cleaner and better stocked than I expect from Petco.

Friendly staff and you don't feel like you're in a "big box" store! The staff is always ready and available to help or answer questions. I have a new puppy so I needed help on what she could chew on safely, the woman at the register walked me over to an isle and showed me several options for my poodle puppy! I like the personal touch she showed me. The store is just the right size to make you feel right at home. I don't know if all the Petco's are like this but this one is my go to! I highly recommend.

Newer Update: major improvements!!Great staff, very knowledgeable!Clean tanks, wide variety of tropical fish, and pet supply prices are lower than petsmart...Update:they have made some improvements!Chris was very helpful and knowledgeable---old review--Sadly, they are grossly understaffed.They need a person who is trained in aquatics on shift daily.There were alot dead fish in their tanks.
