Come to purchase a hamster for my granddaughter. Cashier greeted us, we asked if they had hamsters she said yes, then continued on to find out what kind of cage we had - purchased from another store - told us to return and with a ton of info on how to build our own cage from Walmart, which was helpful and would of saved money, but found it odd considering she worked in a pet store and would of thought she would try to sell one of their products. THEN tried very hard to convince us to not purchase the hamster gave us plenty of negatives about owning one. And went on to tell me that if I didn’t want to break the news to my granddaughter to upset her about not purchasing it, that she would do it for me! We purchased the hamster but will not be going back to that store. I understand teaching moments giving advice on how to raise, etc.. and not even given the chance to ask questions because of the amount of negativity about the purchase, i also understand that even store employees who care for the store pets can become even attached to them but what should of been an exciting moment for a child owning their first pet, became stressful and just the need to leave the store.

I shop at the Cookeville Pet Supplies Plus store on a weekly basis and have for many years. With that being said, I love the friendliness, knowledge and helpfulness of the employees. I am always greeted as I enter the store, helped with questions about products, and offered assistance to my vehicle. The store is always clean and well stocked and has good variety and selection on all their products. I stay loyal to PSP because they continue to deliver excellent customer service.

Friendly staff. Regularly get a coupon for 20 % off which greatly offsets the cost of the higher cost dog food. Always well stocked and general questions about some dog care is always answered by the checkout staff as well. Always been clean too.

I like the 5 self dog wash for $25.00. After a fun day at the park, it's nice to be able to walk in and clean the dog before going home. They supply shampoo and towels. No appointments are needed.

It's a really large pet store. They have alot of products especially for cats and dogs. But also carry products for alot of other critters. They sell live fish but in my opinion on a scale of 1-10 for the conditions they fish are kept, I'd give them a 6. Their tanks the fish are kept in are dirty.

Excellent place to wash and bath large breed dogs!!! They also have a wash bay for the little ones as well. They provide quality shampoos and and blow dryer!! Great loving staff that will do anything to make your and your fur babies experience and A++!!!! Will definitely take my Great Dane and my little ones back for a good scrub !!!

Best place for all my pet needs! Honestly I have never had a bad experience while shopping at this location. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and help you in any way they can even if it’s as simple as taking a bag to your car.I usually get large bags of dog food and pull up my car to load and before I can even get out of my car they are already hands on deck ready to help load. Great staff and great prices too!I believe the managers name is Teddy. I apologize if I’m wrong on that name, but he has went up and beyond to help me when it’s needed. A+ customer service. Definitely employees id take if they ever came my way 😂Thank you!!

Had 2 experiences here first one I went in to buy some fish for my daughters fish aquarium and there were 3 employees just standing around talking. I sent someone up front to ask for help since the 3 had no interest in helping even after I asked for help but oh well no big deal. Got the fish I wanted and 3 were dead before I got home. Took them back the next day and they replaced them no problem which was great but then 2 more died and I didn't want to take the gas money to go back again. Just be leary of the quality of fish they have and don't expect help when employees stand around having a good time

Went there to get name tags for my doggies. They had the machine that etched the names on a metal template. I thought the tags were a little expensive at $13 a piece but the tags do look great.

Just purchased 3 Seresto collars. They price matched Walmarts price, $ 55.00 / collar.... Would rather give them money than Walmart... Our 2 kitties and little dog very much appreciate their collars...Thank you....

We love Pet Supplies Plus! The bath stalls for our pups are great and easier to navigate than the tub at home. Plus, they've got their favorite snack cookies there. My go to store!

I bought 4 goldfish last week and not even 2 days afterwards they started dying one by one it’s a week later and I only have 1 goldfish. I have been feeding them everyday making sure everything is good but they are still dying. I would not recommend buying fish from here

Our dog Julian LOVES this store. He's a purebred Husky and all we have to do is ask him if he wants to go to the Puppy store? And he perks right up for 2 reasons 1 he knows he's going for a ride and 2 because he's going to his favorite store, where we're Always greeted and treated like family. The staff is incredible. They even assist me to my van when I'm by myself, because I use a cane for balance, since I'm not so steady on my feet. Their prices beat all the competitive pet stores, and out of All of them, Pet Supplies Plus, has the best employees, prices, and discounts. My puppy loves the employees because he's treated like family, since they all stop what they're doing (as long as we are in the same place as the employee and they're not already assisting another customer) just to say hello to Julian, give him a pet on the head, or a rub on his back. Sometimes they even give him a treat or two. It's the employees and their prices that they're our families favorite pet store.

I have never had a reason to go to this store till now. As soon as I walked in the cashier said hello. As I was looking for a dog collar a lady working was helping someone else I asked if she could help me after and with a smile she said sure. Overall the whole store was clean smelled good everything was easy to find and the employees were excellent!

The employees were all very friendly and very helpful! They all wore their masks and practiced safe distancing without over dramatizing it and the store doesn't "REQUIRE" customers to wear a mask. These are reasons why we will be regulating their now. We just left there about 6 pm on 7/30, not sure of the names of the employees but they were awesome!!!! Oh and we decided to get two fish a piece for our youngest two to show they can be responsible to take care of them so they can move up to a bigger aquarium with more fish 🐟👱‍♂️👱‍♀️ Happy kids and happy doggy with her treats 🐩🍩 = Happy Mommy ‍♀️

We just bought a puppy and cane here to get all the supplies he will need. We looked for a while at the dog beds, kennels, collars, and toys. I found a bed that was on sale $50 for $30. When we went to check out the bed rung up at $52. I ask the cashier if it would be discounted once everything was totaled up. The cashier let me know that was the sale price. I explained to her that it was supposed to be $36. We walked back to look at the prices. Turns out the beds had been moved around and there were quite a few in the wrong areas. They of course didn’t have the bed we wanted and there weren’t any others comparable. I asked if she could call the manager to price adjust. The manager, Abby, was rude an unprofessional arguing with me about the bed and told me it wasn’t her problem that the beds had been moved. I asked her if she argued and treated all customers this way. Her and the cashier were rude and snarky. This company lost out on a couple hundred dollars all because their lovely manager Abby wanted to argue and be rude. It’s sad because we have come here for all of our other animal needs and now we will not go back. Customer service is huge and if you treat your customers like you don’t need them you’ll be out of business soon enough. Needless to say we went to petsmart. Saved money and didn’t have to deal with rude little girls.

This pet store has the most options for anything dog (or any animal) that I think I’ve ever seen. The toys are interesting and things I think my dog would love and their food selection is massive. The employees are also very nice. Too many people nowadays have terrible customer service, so I really appreciated the nice people.

They had all the wet cat food my kitties favor in stock. Thete was a sale on the litter I usually buy. Some cute dogs were in the store with their owners in tow. The checker lady was very nice, we shared some cat adoption stories. This is my go-to store for pet supplies. They keep a good amount of stock on the shelves. I had my 2 adopted kitties micro-chipped in this store, for a lot less charge than the vet's office, they did a very professional job and handled my animals with care. Call and ask when the vets will come to the store again. They also can make engraved pet tags on the spot.

Great store, friendly staff & amazing prices! A worker there named Abby (I think I spelled her name right) is always helpful, she helped me get what I needed and she also helped me pick out an amazing parakeet! She really cares for all the animals there and that’s what every pet store needs, a caring person. Prices at pet supplies plus are great & all of the animals are healthy and well cared for.

The pet washing station is so handy, use it all the time. Much easier than trying to wash our dogs at home. My dog loves walking around and picking out a treat and a toy to take home after his bath. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful. They always have any medicine we may need for our dogs or they have a suggestion to use instead that always help.
