Please do not shop here if you want healthy animals. I own a variety of fish, small mammals, and several reptiles and I can tell you everything is wrong with this store. I took my time looking at the conditions each tank was in for the fish, it was very upsetting to the point I needed to take pictures or I’m sure no one would believe me. The reptiles do NOT have the correct set ups for their tanks, fecal matter everywhere, and they are in poor condition. The small mammals are in cages that are riddled with fecal matter, poor enrichment items, and frankly conditions I wouldn’t want even these terrible owners to live in. Do better. These are animals who cannot care for themselves! How can you even stand to be in business when your store prides itself on the mistreatment of animals!

Yall should’ve just stuck to fish.I remember when this store was in the original place over on the old side of town and they had a manageable amount of live animals. Their tanks were dirty but not to the point where it was harmful to the fish, just a matter of aesthetics. Since they moved to Jefferson and “expanded” they’ve gone completely off the rails. Berating bad reviewers, packing their store to the brim with anything they can try to sell, not saying no to any owner surrenders even if they should, trying to be a double video came and animal care store, etc. Too many animals to properly care for and too many moving parts to make shopping with them enjoyable. As a small animal person, hearing about the conditions of the Chinchillas, Rabbits, and Guinea Pigs is nauseating. The owners are fish people, no one is saying they don’t know fish. So stick to fish. There’s a lot of money in fish already, why do you feel the need to “expand” your inventory into exotic animals with little to no research on the off chance they live long enough to be sold for a profit?

The workers are incredibly helpful and there are tons of fish and other live animals including chameleons! they have eels and chinchillas and a very cool turtle. They had a very large selection of dvds and videos as well as vinyls and some pretty old machines. The people were ready to help and answered all my questions. I will definitely be back and recommending this place.

Absolutely the worst “pet store” I’ve ever been in. Every single reptile cage was filled with almost lifeless animals in horrible conditions. The crestie tanks are cracked, there’s 3-4 full grown leopard geckos in a tank, and the chameleons were so skinny you could see their rib cage through their skin. Not to mention this place was disgusting, the bathroom was filled with roaches and smelled like weed, and i was picking fleas off of my leg when i left the store. There was a big fenced off area in the back that was completely blocked by cardboard and foam, and I’m honestly convinced this store is a cover for trafficking or something else sketchy because there’s no way this pathetic animal care could turn any kind of a profit.

I was a frequent customer, bought about 100-200 feeder fish every couple weeks. Up until the owner asked me who was suppling the fish before I chose to come to them. After telling him we went to Petsmart, but switched so we could support a local business, he told us to go back to Petsmart. We almost always left some fish in the feeder tanks (so there were some for other people) so it was shocking and odd to hear a business ask for me to stop supporting them. I was never rude, never caused issues, it was always show my kids the animals then get my fish and leave.Be weary of shopping here the reviews aren’t lying, the living conditions of these animals is not okay. The only time I bought a fish that was not a feeder, it died the next day. They did a water sample from my tank and it showed no signs that would do harm to the fish..luckily I got my $40 back

Terrible living conditions for the animals. Algae buildup in most fish tanks & dead fish, was hard to view in some tanks because of all the buildup. Most products being sold are heavily used and not clean. I saw a dead chameleon in an empty tank on the floor. A broken tank in the back (should’ve been thrown away.) Visibly stressed animals when I went back to see the Chinchillas. Looks like most animals are neglected and I still don’t understand why this place would be open to the public.

Horribly unkempt store. Every fish tank is blooming with black bacteria/over growth. Garbage scattered everywhere in the “store”. Rodent cages look like they haven’t been cared for in months. Reptiles all looked unhealthy and are being kept in conditions a rat would hate. No heat lamp on the black and white Tegu? No water for it and no substrate? Just an empty bowl and a dirty tank. All the saltwater tanks were so black it was difficult to see the inhabitants. Have some pride man, dad must own the land because there’s no way this place is turning a profit. Take care of the things you once loved or give them to someone who will.
