The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They helped me find what I needed, cut a couple of keys for me and I was out of there quicker than I thought I would be. I get all my keys cut here.

Traditional hardware store with friendly staff. They will actually ask you if you need any help; unlike the giant home improvement stores where you need a net just to catch someone for assistance. This was my first time to visit this store; I found what I needed, had a nice conversation and still checked out quicker than going to the mega stores. I'll be stopping in here later.

We love the staff at our local Ace store. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about a variety of needs. Generally can find those 1 of a kind things no one else will have. Even when I don't buy anything the great conversations are worth the stop.

This store is top notch! It's clean & has the friendliest employees you'll find anywhere. Roger is always helpful & knowledgeable & leaves me smiling. Yesterday, I needed to purchase a ladder & asked could they deliver it the same day so I could get to work on cleaning gutters. Not only was it delivered the same day, store manager Tripp brought it to my house himself within about 20 minutes! There was no delivery charge & he would not accept a tip. So… before you go running to that big box store, think about your locally owned places first. The ladder I bought was comparably priced at Lowe’s, but they wanted $79 to deliver it & it would’ve taken 2-3 days to get. WIN WIN Here!!! Ace really is the place with the helpful hardware man.

Good selection of tools that sometimes are out of ordinary. I got a hand pump to clear my hot tub, and the big box stores don't have the version of this that works like I need it to work.

Called ahead to see if the Traeger item I was looking for was in stock. Not only did they call me back when they found it, but they labeled it, held it for me, and even remembered my name. This is my First experience with this Store and it was Amazing! Clean store and bathroom. Helpful Staff, massive selection. My new Go-to!

Smaller store. Great prices for my monthly filter for my heat pump return. That's all I go in there for but very friendly people. Staffed sufficiently and very helpful.

Updated review:This has usually been for me a great small engine shop.Recently I dropped off 2 saws. I got the 1st back immediately and it runs great. I had some issues with communication from the shop as far as getting calls returned about the 2nd saw.Tripp, the manager called and apologized. He offered a satisfactory resolution and gave me his personal cell number if I had any issues when picking up the saw.So for now I'm going to be cautiously optimistic for the next time I need some equipment serviced. Thanks for making it right.

I have a soft spot for small hardware stores. We were just passing through and I needed a couple things, including a rather unique key. They had everything except the key, and the manager pointed me to a locksmith a few blocks away that was able to take care of me. Great service!

Helpful, courteous and very knowledgeable. In other words, great customer service! I bought my Ego battery powered lawn mower here and received a much better price. I also got the charger and a battery with the mower.You don't get that at Lowes.

I would give 0 stars if it were an option. Sales people at service counter were rude and would not talk to us, pushed us off on another sales person. Did not have in stock the item that we wanted and when asked if they could order one, he said he would have to order 2 and he didn't want to do that. We told him we would just get it somewhere else and he seemed relieved. Went to another dealer and they had what we were looking for. Will never shop here again.

I was in need of two chainsaw chains. The store was 3 minutes from closing. I called said I'd be there in 6 to 10 minutes they waited on me to get there in a time of need. Thank you Ace for the help. Excellent service.

Took forever to get someone to attend to our need for having a few keys made, and then they didn't have but two of the 4 we needed.While the fella who was helping another customer was talkative and dedicated to his customer, our guy was quite the opposite. More aloof and distracted, and seemed to be in a major hurry.The store is like any other Ace Hardware, and we will likely return for some essentials while we are in the area.Clean, organized and plenty of stock (except keys).

Here is why I don't go there anymore.I went to get a key made. They didn't have a blank to cut. The manager apologized for my inconvenience that they didn't have a blank, stating that he would be glad to make me a key if he had a blank. I went to another store and found a blank but the new computer key cutting machine there could not cut the proper profile. The other store GAVE me 4 blanks and I took them back to my friendly neighborhood Ace store. Asked the manager to make the cuts on the manual key machine and was rudely turned away. The excuse was if we don't have the blank we cannot cut the key. I was standing there with 4 blanks in my hand, offering to PAY TO HAVE THEM CUT. Manager repeated that he didn't have a blank. That if it was cut wrong it could not be replacd. I said that I would like him to try with NO LIABILITY FOR ANY REASON if it failed. He repeated if we don't have the blank we cannot cut the key. Just store policy. Walked out thinking about what just happened. turned around and went back in asking for a store number. Manager said store#1000. How convenient. Went to David's lock and key where I explain the situation. Not only did they cut the key blanks that I had, but did it at no charge. I felt it was cruel treatment by the management at my local Ace Hardware. They sure were not the place with the helpful hardware folk for me. I have not darkened the door of that store since that day, and never will again without a full and complete apology. Enter the store at your own risk.

Awful. I drove down here 30 minutes. Waited for the store to open, and was told by cashier that gentleman who makes keys won't arrive until 30 mins after store opens.I say fine, no problem I'll wait.I come back in, they tell me yeah he isn't coming today he had a doctor's appointment. No one is going to make my key and I wanted my whole morning. Thanks Ace Hardware. Forget the helpful place.

We bought a Still tiller on 3/23/19. Used it on 4/9/19. I lost 2 tines as i was tilling. I found 1 of them. I called the next day & was told Still would not replace it. After a few phone call the guy in service department said they would order me a new one. No one called me back. On 4/26/19 I called back & was told it was on back order. I was not happy so he transferred me to the manager. The manager was hateful from the start. He said they had tried to make me happy. I said to make me happy they would take a tine from tiller in store for me. His response was i have someone coming in tomorrow that might buy so I'll let you know Monday. WOW!!! Yes i was really mad now. He finally said i could come get it. Got it next day.

I love shopping at Ace Hardware in Columbia, TN, they always have just what I need, whether I'm working on my mower or just needing the right tool. Today I bought some bolts and screws for a project I've been working on. The man that helped me was most helpful, he took me right where I needed to go. It's nice to know that I don't have to waste any of my time here, the staff always knows right where to go for all of our needs. So what are you waiting for, it's time to get those projects started.

I much prefer to shop in a small store with a hometown feel which is what Ace Hardware is all about. The answer I was looking for required someone who knows alot more then I do about the types of hardward needed and they needed to be able to think outside the box. The gentlemen who helped me would not give up looking and f ound exactly what I needed. Good service is worth paying a little more. I would still be wondering around the isles at Lowes 4 days later.

Always helpful & knowledgeable. Bought a Lynxx from Harbor Freight ( weed wacker) 2 years ago. Went to buy new batteries & charger and they no longer available. Went to Ace and bought an E GO. Powerful. Never heard of them, hopefully they won't be gone in 2 years

My husband went and put in an application from an ad he saw in the paper. I called prior to him going down to fill out the application to find out exactly what it paid per hour. After he took time to go fill out the application. And he has more than 35 years experience. He was told that the position that they're hiring for is temporary and part-time due to the fact that they already have five people on staff and they're five weeks out I'm getting the work done for customers. The ad said this was a manager's position. How can you hire a part-time temporary manager to help get your employees motivated to get the work done quicker

I had the unfortunate experience of needing string for weedeater. Do not call Columbia store for anything. These people can not use a telephone. Very unprofessional. I called 4 times and still don't know if they have string. Hung up on. Transferred to wrong people. This is a 20 mile trip for me. So i will go to Lowe's.

Lack of communication took mower deck to get fixed was told 2week wait time ok no problem.Got a call next day they had to order parts. No big deal. Was told they would call me next day with price. Never received that call. Waited 1 week for mower deck went to check on it and there answer was "oh it's only a 24 hr turn around it's been done for 3 days" I never got a call saying it was done. I asked why I didn't get a call the answer was" we don't call" I replied well how the hell am I supposed to know it was done???. He didn't answer that ... so as long as you don't want or need to know when your stuff is fixed. Take it there I will never go back there
