On 7/3/23 we took our Great Pyrenees to Petco 1670 in Collierville, TN, for grooming. He was scheduled for a bath with the Essentials Plus package (full coat brushing, nail trim, and teeth brushing). We did not order a haircut. He had recently been brushed out there were no matted clumps we knew of.We dropped him off for his 12:00pm appointment and was told it would take 2-3 hours to complete it. We were told that they would call when he was ready. More than two hours later, we receive a call from the groomer who states that our dog has matted patches of fur and needs those areas trimmed (not shaved). We agreed to this.By 6:00pm, Petco had yet to call. We called the store grooming line multiple times but nobody ever answered. Finally around 6:00pm, Petco called saying he was ready for pickup and then asked for us to pay over the phone. We felt this was deceptive since we have never been asked this before but did anyways to expedite the pickup. We added a $30 tip when the groomer asked for one. This brought our total to nearly $150 with tax, at least $50 more than expected.When we arrived at the store, we were shocked to see our Great Pyrenees had been shaved completely bald from neck to tail. A Great Pyrenees has a double layer coat that helps them radiate heat off them similar to a heat sink. Their coat protects their skin from the sun. These dogs can never be shaved bald. Having been shaved bald, our dog now has zero protection from the heat and sun in the Tennessee summer.Additionally, he was returned to us with numerous raw spots on his skin that appear to be cuts and scrapes from the fur clippers. By shaving his entire body bald, they have put my dog in grave danger. He now cannot go outside in the daylight due to risk of heat stroke and sunburn. He is at risk for infection from the raw spots. They have also put him at risk for not having a full coat this winter. He is in pain and has been traumatized.

My pups love Petco and especially Hannah. She takes amazing care of my dogs. They always look perfect and I know how hard she and the other groomers work to get my guys looking that dapper. Don’t ever let that girl go!!!

Hannah Holmes did such a wonderful job, asked ahead of time for any special requests and Bailey looked perfect when she was done. Will definitely be back and so very pleased with both service and care.

Well, I took my dog there at 3:45 in the afternoon. I went back at seven to pick her up and she hadn’t even started on her so I had to sit in the parking lot for an hour didn’t get her till 8:00 PM. her haircut was choppy not cute at all, no bowl ribbon nothing around her neck. It was the worst I’ve seen so far since she’s been grooming for the last seven years.

I scored an eight for visit due to being asked multiple times “if I had paid”, after I had already paid.My baby girl seemed happy so that’s really all that mattered. We will visit again and hopefully I’m not slightly harassed by payment due to being stereotyped.

Micah is the best groomer we have ever had for any of our dogs. We are in our 60’s and have had a lot over the years.

This was the worst grooming experience I’ve ever had! Hannah, Erin and Kayla watched me stand and look at them for 10 minutes without acknowledging my dog’s appointment. Even though they saw me through the grooming windows, two store employees let them know I was waiting. Hannah, threw up 1 finger and continued on a dog. Finally, she came to the counter with no apology or explanation. At pick up, Kayla was standing at the counter writing and never asked if I needed assistance. She walked away when she finished writing. Hannah came to the front desk and I asked for the General Manager’s number. She stated that I only had to wait 10 minutes and having me wait wasn’t rude. I asked her for the other ladies names, she refused to provide their names. She gave me a phone number but it was incorrect. I was able to get the General Manager number and the other two stylists names. I will never go back to the location.

The dogs haircut was all over the place uneven. There were numerous spots on the back of her where they were still long. This was the second time I have used this location to get a haircut and it will be the last. The last haircut she received the hair on her ears were extremely uneven. Also on this trip I paid to have the nails buffed after clipping. They were not buffed at all. You could see where they were just clipped. Still sharp edge all around every single nail. It was almost 80 bucks with the tip. I was very disappointed with the service. Will not use this location ever again.

Erin is the very best. She is attentive, helpful and always treats my Boy like he is her pet. I spent two years looking for someone like her to take care of my beloved Pookie. I will not take him anywhere but to see her.
