I absolutely love this place!! The staff are so friendly, nice, and welcoming. They always help with whatever you need and are super knowledgeable about everything!! I always come to get stuff for my lizards and dogs and it's always a nice environment to be in. I've bought multiple reptiles from Here and they were perfectly healthy. I wouldn't go anywhere else but here for pets and pet supplies! :)

I've been going to Petco in Collierville for over two years and I really like them. I live in Southaven and I pass two Petco's just to go there. But I am very disappointed in an event that occurred. On February 13th my dog had a grooming appointment and when I schedule him, I never schedule with a particular groomer, I always go with any available groomer. He was last at Petco in November so it was about that time for his grooming. My dog is almost 11 years old but you wouldn't know it because he has lots of energy. He is a poodle mix and most people think that he is a puppy. I was heading out of town on Friday, February 23rd and I wanted to make sure he had his grooming appointment. On February 12th (night before) I received a text confirmation from Petco, confirming my appointment, in which I confirmed. On Tuesday, February 13th, I was walking my dog when I received a call from Petco stating that "my groomer" called out sick. So I said he doesn't have a groomer, anyone can groom him. Nevertheless, the young man just said that the groomer that they assigned was out sick. So the appointment had to be cancelled. At this point I am scrambling to find another Petco that had an opening before Friday. Petco Collierville, I am so disappointed that I'm not coming back. I will just stay local. I did find Petco in Olive Branch that had an appointment for Tuesday, February 20th. But the complaint will be continued on their website. They were worse.

On 7/3/23 we took our Great Pyrenees to Petco 1670 in Collierville, TN, for grooming. He was scheduled for a bath with the Essentials Plus package (full coat brushing, nail trim, and teeth brushing). We did not order a haircut. He had recently been brushed out there were no matted clumps we knew of.We dropped him off for his 12:00pm appointment and was told it would take 2-3 hours to complete it. We were told that they would call when he was ready. More than two hours later, we receive a call from the groomer who states that our dog has matted patches of fur and needs those areas trimmed (not shaved). We agreed to this.By 6:00pm, Petco had yet to call. We called the store grooming line multiple times but nobody ever answered. Finally around 6:00pm, Petco called saying he was ready for pickup and then asked for us to pay over the phone. We felt this was deceptive since we have never been asked this before but did anyways to expedite the pickup. We added a $30 tip when the groomer asked for one. This brought our total to nearly $150 with tax, at least $50 more than expected.When we arrived at the store, we were shocked to see our Great Pyrenees had been shaved completely bald from neck to tail. A Great Pyrenees has a double layer coat that helps them radiate heat off them similar to a heat sink. Their coat protects their skin from the sun. These dogs can never be shaved bald. Having been shaved bald, our dog now has zero protection from the heat and sun in the Tennessee summer.Additionally, he was returned to us with numerous raw spots on his skin that appear to be cuts and scrapes from the fur clippers. By shaving his entire body bald, they have put my dog in grave danger. He now cannot go outside in the daylight due to risk of heat stroke and sunburn. He is at risk for infection from the raw spots. They have also put him at risk for not having a full coat this winter. He is in pain and has been traumatized.

I give all my props to the animal care expert, Sabrina. I've interacted with her each time I've gone, and she's worked with me to get whatever I need for my ball pythons. The store is much more organized than others I've been to, as well, and the other employees are friendly. When I say "organized," I mean that people are constantly moving things and setting so things are easy to find.They also have a huge number of reptiles available, along with a cockatiel that looked desaturated. I'm including a photo because I've never seen one like that.As of today (2/20), there are two sub-adult leopard geckos that need to be adopted and separated, and they're 50% off, bringing them down to between $12 and $15.I wish Collierville wasn't so strict about sign height and colors, because unless you know what you're looking for at night, you could miss the store entirely. Which would be a shame.

Antonio is phenomenal. I called ahead to ask about carriers, he spent 30 minutes trying to find something for me and to make sure it would work in the airplane. Extremely professional, friendly and treats you like family. We came in that day with my fam and he gave us a black friday discount and made sure we walked out satisfied. Hope you get treated the way you treat people bro. I was literally so sad amazon would take more days to deliver a carrier so petco was my last hope before I flew without my pet. Thank you man, it was huge for us.

I've only been in Collierville less than two years. I have been driving across town to get my Yorkie, Goonie groomed. I wish I had known about Petco Collierville the whole time!Today was my first time in the store. I really loved how my interaction with the employees went. I got names, but I don't know who was who. These people love animals!! As a pet owner, this is all you dream of!I get my little man settled in to his appointment, and they REALLY listened to what I was saying about particulars.I picked my little booboo up when they called and I was met with another cool employee!Goonie had the best haircut that he has ever had. Beyond that, he was so very calm. He always feels handsome after his grooming, but he has never been so Zen.I can't sing enough praises for Goonies and my experience!! Stellar job Petco!! Thank you to Erin, Hannah and Sabrina, for sure!Thanks so much for the great experience!!He's camera shy, so this is all I could get!

They turned my golden doodle into a poodle when we got him groomed. DO NOT take your dog to get groomed here. They also kept him for almost 7 hrs. My wife cried when she picked him up and they ended up giving her 30% off. They can say it’s because he had some mats on his face and what not, I get that he had to be cut short but this is ridiculous.“Choke yourself”

I took my Bichon here to get groomed yesterday and it was not a pleasant experience. It was long after i dropped her off and still didn't get a call back from them or anything. We ended up driving there to check to see if they were done with her. When i got there i politely asked if they were done with my baby, the employee had an attitude with me and make it seem like it's my fault that i was late picking her up even though we were so excited and couldn't wait to pick our baby up; i could even wait at the store if they wanted me to. She asked if i didn't get a call or anything because all the groomers had LEFT. At this moment i started to feel like crying knowing my baby was left back there in the kennel for a while now.When she went back there to grab her, i can hear my bichon barking out of fear. It took her a minute to bring her out, i almost wanted to go back there to get her myself. When she finally came out with my dog, she immediately gave me attitude and was so rude asking me if the dog has been in a kennel before because she wasn't trying to get her hand bitten up. She was only a puppy and she was barking out of fear, and the fact that they kept her back there for so long! The employee didn't even seem to know how to handle puppies and i understand because i don't think she was a groomer. The whole experience was so upsetting and i was trying so hard not to cry in the store.

I have used Petco for many pet needs for several years. I started disliking them when I paid to be on the Vital program and I would have to wait long periods before my dogs were seen. They seem to have a problem with keeping employees or maybe having a hard time with finding people to hire. I do usually get descent customer service. But the last time I was here I was charged to have a bag to carry my bought items in. I will not be returning. As much money as I have spent in this store over the last three years is way too much to then be charged for a bag!

The staff is very welcoming and informative. They didn't allow me to buy rats because they have been getting bad shipments (having problems with cannibalism and internal birth defects such as upside down organs). They informed me of ratteries in the area that would be better, and other petcos/petsmarts to avoid. A big thank you to such caring staff.

This place desperately needs to have more than 2 people working at a time. The employees are all so nice, but the store only staffs 2 people at a time on afternoons/evenings, which is their busiest time. So if those 2 people are helping others, customers just have to wait. I had to wait 30 mins to get crickets and sat there and watched another customer wait 30 mins just to checkout because no one was around. That is bad management

The Petco in Collierville TN is the nicest pet store I have ever been to. The staff is so sweet and they care deeply for all of the animals on site. In addition it is very well stocked, clean, and they price match to their website which gives good deals! I absolutely love this location!

I normally love this petco. But I came in today and the girl working at fish was completely unprofessional. I asked her for the price of 2 little fish she didn't know. I told her I wanted them so I was wondering on the price cause I couldnt find there card. And she just complained she hated the fish area and kept unboxing fish. I clearly made it known I wanted the 2 fish as I have been looking for them. And just got ignored

Always hate coming here…there’s never anyone to check you out. You have to go and find someone. Only reason I come here is because it’s the closest place to my house. I found 2 employees that were working just sitting in the office talking and no one watching the register. You could honestly walk in and steal whatever you want to honestly.

As usual we had a great grooming experience. My dog is very comfortable with his groomer, Brittany and she makes sure that he's well taken care of every time. He's displayed anxiety with other groomers in the past but is very relaxed when dealing with Brittany.

I went to this Petco to get my dog groomed. It took about 4 hours even though they initially indicated that it wouldn't take very long. Originally, they told me it wouldn't be a long wait so I took some time to look around the store. It was neat and clean, although somewhat small. The animals were in good care and they did a good job grooming my pet. It was affordable.
