I’ve been coming here for over 25 years. It is just the best place for groceries. Fantastic fresh deli. Tons of items you can’t get anywhere else. The little shop inside the door has the cutest items! I wish they would carry the regular Horizon Organic whole milk so I didn’t have to go somewhere else. I really really miss being able to buy a bag of oranges and have them fresh squeezed into a jug while I shopped. That was the best juice in the world, I still talk about it all the time. Lots of vegan choices and fresh local made products like honey, grains, bread, and specialty foods. I could go on all day about the things that are great about this store. The staff is beyond the best and knowledgeable. Lucky that I live close by! Best store in the Chattanooga area by far.

Small college town grocery mart, similar in style to a Whole Foods or fresh market with lots of natural or locally provided items. Prices can be higher than expected for certain items, but the variety or gluten free or vegetarian options are wide.I give the VM three stars because it’s varying service due to college students running the hard labor positions. Sometimes lines can be long with a single register open, and lately I have seen many expired items on the shelves! But with there no sale policy of expired items they will let you return the item.

I love this place!! Everything is always fresh and tasty!! They have so many options for vegans and vegetarians!! It is always well stocked and CLEAN!! In addition to tasty produce and products they have succulents and different plants as well! They are great for a windowsill at home or in the office!! I always feel very welcome here! The staff is so friendly and energetic!! If your looking to change the way you eat or just looking for a tasty satisfying lunch or snack, this is the place to be!!!

Always clean and folks are nice. Looking for brewers yeast, they had although not the kind I was used to getting. Not sure of the freshness divided in bulk plastic bags opposed to vacuum sealed containers.

Good selection of meat substitutes and spices. We always get our favorites if we pass by. Only give them four stars because on our last trip there they had quite a lot of people in line and only one cashier. Some poor students only had a few items and they left without purchasing them because they couldn’t afford waiting for so long. Gladly we were in no hurry so we didn’t mind waiting.

My favorite place for bulk grains, honey, and everything healthy! After living in Atlanta for years, then moving to North Georgia 17 years ago, I was missing having great resources close by. Village Market is a hidden gem tucked away in this small college town.

Everything you could want in a medium sized grocery store. Specializes in vegetarian food, canned frozen or bulk items. Excellent produce section. Staff is on hand and very helpful to make sure you find everything easily.

Really good food. I love the vegetable sushi... please bring back the empanadas. Very nice selection of vegetarian and vegan options. The staff has been pretty rude to me and my kids at times. Prices are high but that is to be expected for a locally owned grocer so I know what I'm getting into when I go.

My favorite place to get vegan or vegetarian friendly food. Their breakfast hot deck is my favorite. And their breakfast burritos! Margie is the best when it comes to customer service! She always greets me with a smile and knows what I usually get. She always recommends some good food to try.I love these tortilla chips that they sell. The best for nachos or just to eat. Taste a little like Frito's but better. I hope they never get rid of it. Over all, great place to eat, shop, and visit.

Had to leave the store because I couldn't find the products I was looking for and the bread aile were half empty. It's not your normal supermarket. This market was built for the students who lives on campus.

This is a great place if you need specialty Foods. I gave it four stars because it's pricey and I'm a mom on a budget. They serve hot meals and have a salad bar. They have vegetarian sandwiches. They have a good selection of gluten-free options and be an option. They have bulk items that are fairly reasonable such as seasonings and granola. Their selection of herbs is probably the best I've seen anywhere.I get a lot of herbs for my kids to keep them well when they go to school.

Vegan and vegetarian dream, but check it out even if you aren't. This is the store to go to for all the healthiest food around. They even have vegan sushi and premade salad lunches for your lunch break! I love the coolers full of drinks. The toy section has educational toys.

This store is great for those that follow a vegetarian diet and want to find good health foods that may not be available at your normal supermarket. The deli has great foods for both breakfast and lunch. I also enjoy the bulk foods section. This store closes early on Friday and is closed on Saturday. Little bit more pricey compared to typical supermarket, but very competitive when compared to the average health foods store.

Very happy to find a source for raw Almonds and Pecans that I can get without a plastic bag! But bring your own bags/containers! They provide plastic bags if you don't. The Pecan halves are HUGE and so good! The raw almonds are very fresh also! Very happy with nut quality!

If you are interested in vegetarian or vegan options, this is likely your best stop shop in town. Their prices are not always the cheapest for the daily essentials, but their selection of health, vegan, and vegetarian foods makes it worth while. They also have a good bulk foods section and I believe they sell some locally grown produce. They have a deli which serves hot meals with a different menu every day of the week.

The Village Market has very friendly staff and a clean store. They have a good selection of vegetarian meat products and health foods. Their deli has good hours, but a limited selection of food, although their selection seems to be growing. It is hard to find a healthy meal at the deli. Prices are a bit high throughout the store and their grocery selection is limited.

I just discovered this place a couple of months ago and have been enjoying shopping there ever since. The staff is super friendly, the prices are really good and there is a really good selection of vegan/vegetarian items, plus herbs, spices, produce, packaged foods, etc.

Good quality food and a lot of healthy options. The sushi is pretty good and there are a number of unique vegetarian flavors. Avoid Friday afternoons as it can get busy, but other than that it’s not too bad.

Always a pleasant experience with lots of great vegetarian/vegan options. Also I found Silk's soy milk creamer there today which made me super happy (haven't been able to find it anywhere the couple months). Staff are always nice and helpful too 👍

Cons:-I once found a larva in my salad... that should say enough.-The kitchen looks very unsanitary and outdated.-Overall food quality is very poor. Cookies have pockets of unmixed baking soda. Deli food comes to you cold. Sloping proportions packaged sandwiches.-Very slow customer service and and checkout times.Pros:-The staff are kind and try to be helpful.-Large selection of vegetarian and vegan options.-Great price for bananas.

Here is a store with a lot of healthy food options of fresh and in the deli. There is no meat department, but a lot of substitutes that have real good flavor and a lot of health benefits. The potato salad and bakery items in the back are always good too. There are a lot of supplements to choose from and things like local honey.

Great selection of health foods, vegan and organic options. Some prices are a little high in comparison, but some are cheaper than even Walmart. I love coming here to find speciality things not found elsewhere. Great service and the deli is wonderful too!!

Recently remodeled. Looks very nice inside. Employees are usually friendly and willing to help. Pretty good selection for vegetarians. Their prices are a bit high in most cases. You won't find any food or drink with caffeine sold here.
