By far the best place to go for all of your gardening and landscape needs! As someone who does gardening for a living and builds and sells raised garden beds and garden setups; I absolutely love this place 8 years running! All the big box stores are charging $6 each for vegetable plant and you can get four packs for 298 ooltewah nursery. They have compost, gravel, dirt, garden mix soil, all sorts of trees and every plant known to the imagination! Give it a try, you will make it your home away from home like we have! 😊

I called Tuesday 4/16/2024 to ask if they had orange azaleas and I was told yes they had 10. I came up here Wednesday morning (1 hour away) and was told by the manager Kat that she’s putting them in a show next week and I could only buy 1.One manger said yes I could buy 2 then Kat said no. I explained to her I called (showed the time I called ) and she said that I called before she decided to rope them off for the show and she was sorry but no I couldn’t buy 2 . It didn’t not matter to her that her employee told me there were some there and I drove all that way. I feel this is very bad business! I will never go back or recommend this place. The rest of the staff were very nice and apologetic.

One of your trucks cut me and another driver off (me in the middle lane and the other driver in the right lane on the interstate) and he never used a turn signal. Both myself and the other driver had to quickly swerve and slam on our brakes to avoid causing accidents as he was way too close to both of us. When I drove past him I saw him laughing about the situation. I could understand it being a mistake if it happened once, and he didn't see one of us, but to do so twice AND then laugh about it? Very unprofessional, and it makes your company look bad, unfortunately. I did try to contact your company and I received no response. Future customers need to know what caliber of people you employ because I'm sure they aren't careless only while on the road and then happen to do magnificent physical work on the jobs they've been assigned to.

I attended their "Celebrating Native Plants" on Earth Day event. Very disappointed. They were selling very very few native species. Their "two page list of native plants" were common names, mostly for Genera, and was mostly cultivars, NOT the native species. The very first on the list is Anise Hyssop which is NOT native to Tennessee, they had a ton of Salvias, not a single one a native species. A bunch of Echinacea cultivars (they did have native E. purpura) Two Lobelia cultivars, but no straight species. I did see one native species of Phlox but they had a ton of cultivars. I wont tear apart their whole 'list' but for an event that was supposed to focus on Native Plants, this was a flop.

Love this place, recently did a good sized block job and when we needed more sand for the mortar mix...Ooltewah nursery was close enough to go to, and a much better deal and more for the money than Ace Hardware. Since it was almost planting time I noticed the garden mix soil they have. Besides the 3 truck loads of sand for the job on the lake. I also bought and brought 3 Truck loads of the garden mix back to East Ridge TN..Not to mention the Awesome selection of not only flowers bushes and trees...but the vegetable plants and herbs, which I also purchased a vary of. The garden soil is much less expensive to buy by the truck or half a truck load then paying out $6 $7 $8 or more for bagged soil and it's just as good or better. I have recommended this to friends and neighbors who have flower or vegetable gardens and now recommending Ooltewah nursery to anyone who reads this review. Did I fail to mention that the People Here are Fantastic to deal with..The young man who loaded the sand and soil 5 out of 6 times, You have a good man there Ooltewah nursery...

We called the nursery in the evening to check inventory of a particular plant as well as the price. Sadly most of the personnel was unable to assist us and the price was a large amount over what we were given the day before. We interrupted our afternoon to go to this establishment to no avail.

Great selection of trees, succulents, flowers and the staff is very helpful. They have a great selection of planters and decorations for the house and garden. I really hope scram for cats helps with keeping cats away from our plants.

Excellent variety of plants. Helpful staff and crowded. Their prices beat Ace Hardware and Walmart significantly.

Ooltewah Nursery did not honor their 30 day return policy but rather singled me out to alter it at the owner’s whim.I’m a senior adult and received a phone call while I was at work from the business owner to notify me that future purchases will be “All Sales Final.”I was appalled at the owner’s hateful behavior. Owner never expressed thanks to me for being a loyal customer. I realized after the phone call that the business used their “loyalty” tracking system against me!I erroneously believed that Ooltewah Nursery honors their 30 day return policy. And, I foolishly trusted that 30 days means 30 days!On a very limited basis, I took back merchandise that was unused with tags attached and presented a sales receipt with their printed 30 day return policy. In each transaction, I chose to exchange a few pillows and/or garden flags. So, the business lost NO money in the original sale and EACH exchange was within 30 days! For three years, I’ve shopped at Ooltewah Nursery and spent hundreds of dollars.Examples of my purchases include 18 Climaweave pillows, 10 concrete figurines, 9 large terracotta pots, assorted bushes and plants, wind chime, shepherd hooks, garden flags and resin figurines. This senior adult will never subject myself again to not only the business owner’s unappreciative attitude but also her targeting me for some unknown reason through their loyalty program.

They had a fantastic selection here. The staff was also great to deal with, understanding, and knowledgeable. I got a couple of fruit trees, a few flowers, and some tomatoes that had gone on sale. Turned out both the trees had canker, which they allowed me to return. The tomatoes were all sickly, and just figured they needed to be planted and watered regularly. No, turns out they had fusarium and it's now spread to other plants in my garden. I should have known better than to get sickly plants. However, it would have also been nice if sick plants were removed from the selection. Personally I won't be shopping here again. Their staff is very kind though.

Great selection. Prices seemed normal to me. My reason for leaving a review was the great customer service an older gentleman showed towards us. He explained all about the plants we wanted, when to plant them, how to water, etc. very knowledgeable. I will be buying more plants from here.

It was plant, shrub and tree heaven. I wanted mature boxwoods and Lowes and Bryant's only sold small ones. This was my last place to look but it will always be my first from now on. A man named, Jim, helped me. He saw me walking around and asked to help me. He was awesome. I left super happy.

They have stuffs with a reasonable price- not economic but reasonable. Varieties of trees. Comparing to barn nursery, its cheaper. Generally, the Barn nursery has more stuffs in terms of trees and more staffs to help you with your questions. But this nursery has more fruit trees which are affordable. Staffs are friendly. I bought a persimmon tree here and its growing well in my yard.

I love flowers and native plants! This is one place I come every spring to source perennial flowers in smaller size pots. I have gardened on hills and under mature trees a lot over the years and have better luck with smaller sizes as long as the plants have strong root systems. This is the place to find them, but do come early in the season! Love that their selection of natives is growing. This is a local business worth your support.

This nursery is a delight to visit. They always have an excellent selection of healthy, beautiful plants! Spring and summer are particularly good times to visit, although they continue to have stock in the winter months. The inside area is inviting, with a good selection of pottery, gardening necessities, decorations, wind chimes, etc. The outside areas are easy to maneuver and well-stocked. Mulch and soil are available. There are extended greenhouses that offer a variety of plants. There is a rewards program that pays out well. All the employees are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. This is a local business worth supporting!

We were planting the entire garden in the front of our townhouse, and needed guidance! Immediately when we walked in, someone asked if they could help us and within minutes we were sitting down with Jim to plan out the space. He listened to our wants/needs and helped us choose appropriate shrubs and perennials, then found us a wagon and showed us where the plants were located. He also advised us on weed control, soil, and mulch. Jim did not rush us and assisted us until we had everything we needed. He spent over an hour with us, but without his help it would have taken us much longer. The nursery was well-stocked, too. We are new to the area and have been to several other nurseries as we researched ideas for this garden, but Ooltewah Nursery was the only garden center where we received the personal assistance we needed. It will be our go-to nursery from now on. Thank you, Jim!

Called them on Saturday morning to ask if any Wax Myrtles were in stock and was informed that they had 32 in stock. She said that they were 3 gallon and $24.99 each. I drove nearly 30 minutes one way to purchase some. Arrived at their nursery and found a worker there. He said he was unsure and went in to find out where the plants were located. He returned and said we do not have any, that the ones that they have were for a landscaping job and that they were all damaged from cold. So, I told him that I had called an hour beforehand and and was told that they were in stock. So, we went inside and was told by another worker that they did not have any. The guy working there told me that the people answering phones don't usually have any idea what they really do have in stock. So, I drove and hour round-trip, losing time and gas, because their workers don't have a clue. Very bad business practice. He informed me that they couldplace a special order for me for the Wax Myrtles , but I told him that I'll just order them offline from another company. I was planning on purchasing a lot of plants from them, but not now. This will be my last time there.

Such a great selection! Not only for indoor, and outdoor plants. But fruit trees, vegetables, herbs, etc. This is the place for BULK items as well (garden soil, mulch, top soil gravel) at a great price.

Loved the nursery. Everything and more that you're looking for, beautiful plants and trees tons of landscaping supplies. Don't miss the little jewel tucked behind the nursery 😳 a farm market every Thursday from 3-6 pm. Home baked breads, sweets, grass fed beef, pork and other meats veggies, fresh mushrooms water melon and cantaloupe. Hand made soaps. AND ... Grass fed raw milk!!!!! It is exceptional. The prices are good the people selling are fantastic!

We drove up 1.5 hours from north Georgia to check it out. Overall the prices were pretty good for what we were interested in and there were quite a few varieties that we don't really have in any of our local stores. I would definitely go back. However, the only real issue that I had was because it was so big, it was hard to figure out where things were laid out. We didn't see any maps available explaining where things were until we were at the checkout where they were taped to the checkout stands. In my opinion, they should have been someone a little more front and center or easier to find before you check out.

I love this place so much and started coming here this spring. I have spent 400 to 500 of my own money here and my mother came into town and I recommended this place to her and she spent 300 here. I had one plant that was drooping, turning brown and stopped blooming once I put it into the ground. All of the other plants I have bought from here look beautiful but I think I just got a bad plant (which happens). Was wanting to return it and get 25 dollars credit to buy something more expensive and had 2 workers examine it and say the plant was fine. I told one of them "so yall always talk about the return policy but you don't want to take the return. So basically if the plant is burned to the ground I can bring it back?" The woman told me "yes, burned to the ground". I was in front of my daughter and had a talk with her in the car about customer service and told her to never do what this place did. The 2 employees did everything to save themselves 25 dollars (which I would have used there) and could potentially loose thousands from me. I told my daughter was the 25 dollars worth it??

Incredible selection of plants! But the best part of my experience was the fact that they have floor assistants ready to talk to you about the plants you’re interested in, and walk around with you pointing you in the right direction. Good customer service will always get my return business. Thanks guys!

I was looking for a plant for my freshman daughter's dorm room. The staff were so helpful in giving me advice and instruction on how to keep the 'snake plant' alive and the reasons why it was good for the dorm room. And it has been a month and my daughter has not killed it yet :) Thank you to the kind staff who are so helpful to the visitors that come stop by. And thank you for all you do to support our community nonprofits too!

The product selection is excellent, and I take every opportunity available to support a local business. However, Sarah checked us out. Although I specifically told her how many of a particular plant we had, she input 4 more than that number, even after mentioning how much 18 would cost vs the 22 that she charged.Once I got home and saw the receipt, I realized it was likely an honest mistake. I called to get a refund and was told I’d have to come in, which wasn’t a big deal, just inconvenient (the person on the phone apologized for the inconvenience), no worries.Once I arrived, I waited for Sarah, the attendant that checked us out. I told her that we had been charged for 22 items when we only received 18; she processed a refund for the difference, and I politely asked if there was anything that could be done for the trouble. She responded, “nope... sorry,” with a smirk. Mind you, I wasn’t asking for much, the amount that was overcharged as a credit would have been more than enough, <$13. I started to leave, then decided to go back in to request assistance from someone more competent. The person that answered my phone call about the problem was there, and she assisted with a $9 credit for my trouble. The total on my order was $400, and I typically spend $1500-$2000/year on landscaping (this was the first time I had visited this location). The $9 credit was minimal and the lady who assisted was very kind and professional. Unfortunately, I didn’t get her name but she was very young and had blond hair. She is an asset to this company, and is the only reason I will consider returning to this location. I attempted calling to speak with a manager about the issue I had with Sarah, but was put on hold twice, which is why I have written this review.
