Let me start by saying I am heart broken that your facility, Norris Animal Hospital, turned away a sick, helpless fur baby today. Your code of ethics is well below standards. I am a client there and I've driven from west Knox to Clinton for years because I trusted you with my pets. I will no longer be doing that. I've also referred many friends and family. I will advise them to withdraw as well. You should be ashamed of yourself, standing behind a false front!!!Since I can't reply to your response, I just wanted to add that Sir, didn't change anything. Thank you.

I've never had a bad experience here...the staff is welcoming, friendly.and professional.Dr.Appel always takes time to answer any questions and he researches meds and explains how they work and what the side effects might be.A great place!!!

I am so grateful for the wonderful care my two pups received here this week from Dr. Appel and the whole staff. We are visiting from VT and unfortunately had unexpected problems with both dogs within a couple of days. In each case, this clinic worked us in the same day we called and Dr. Appel treated them efficiently and without unnecessary procedures, prescriptions, or expense unlike many other vets I’ve utilized in the past. I was very impressed and highly recommend this excellent team.

Twice, we have had to make the gut-wrenching trip to help our kitties cross the rainbow bridge, unplanned. Both times, this office worked us right in as soon as possible. Being able to get straight to it when the inevitable is hovering over you is appreciated.

Awesome place. Friendly folks who have a beautiful facility to care for pets. I love the fact that I left my dog there for boarding and they proactively called us about his ears which needed treatment. Great folks who we look forward doing business with.

I've been going to this vet for close to 6 years now since moving to Rocky Top. My latest experience was the straw on the camel's back. Took my cat in for urinary issues, and instead of being tested by checking blood or urine, the veterinarian rubbed my cat, felt her sides, and gave us many explanations we could have simply googled. . . Which if you do Google it says #1 take your pet to the vet... Found a new vet and will NEVER return to this joke of an establishment.***update 2/29/2024Do NOT & I REPEAT DO NOT take any of your animals to Norris Animal Hospital!I left them a bad review a year ago when we had taken Hope (who they did nothing for) when she was having UTI problems. Now they REFUSE TO SEE DOUG after we called them on Monday @ 8:10am and have been patiently waiting for our sick dog to be seen and get some answers. I had honestly forgotten about the review bc it was the ONLY bad experience we’ve had until today. The owner, Steven argued with me on the phone that I had not been back since said review. Granted since the review we have BEEN BACK, which I have receipts….Also after this review we took Hope to Lafolette veterinarian who diagnosed, treated & CURED Hope. IMO a “vet” would NOT let an animal continue to suffer no matter what someone says…They will not take any accountability!!! The response they give about it being under a different name is correct! But MY review is UNDER a different name for MY CAT! The dog today is under a TOTALLY DIFFERENT NAME. My name changed on the reviews after I got married, but today’s appointment was under Dustin NOT Justin!!! I ONLY came back because it was ONLY the one bad experience, UNTIL TODAY & I had genuinely FORGOTTEN about it like I EXPRESSED earlier as you mention. I always have receipts.

Was in and out of my appointment within 20 minutes. They were really kind and gentle with my 14yr old baby. He is mean and they took extra special care of him. I saw the lady vet and really liked her. I will make more appts with her.

I have not respect for this place anymore and if you have a animal that has a recurring issue, you need to go somewhere else.After 800$ on one cat, that was seen by 3 different Docs. I fixed his issue myself buying a 30$ plug in that released cat pheromones into the air. After I told him this, he says yeah that was always a option!2nd cat has asthma, has been seen by 4 different Vets. Nothing is working and I just found out that the meds she on, they are supposed to be checking her blood every 6 months. Im so displeased, with the way on going sicknesses or problems are handled. You can't even see the same Vet, like I said for shot or check up its fine. Nothing else. I set 2 hours getting worked in the last time, seen a Vet I nvr seen before with a sick Cat with Asthma.Im done Im moving .

I just love the people at Norris Vet. I have taken my animals here for years. Recently my pup Axel passed away and they were so caring. I received a sweet card from the staff. They also have a wonderful kennel where I feel very secure in leaving my dogs n their care

The wait was a bit long but they did a good job once they made it in to check on the dog. A new owner has taken over since June and apparently his appointment was a work in they had not informed us about. The girls were gentle with the dog and did a wonderful job keeping him calm during his ear cleaning and shot.

They were very kind top my wife and I. Our elderly chihuahua fell over in our kitchen floor and couldn't get up. We rushed him over there, and while they were very upfront about the time situation, we got him back very quickly. But sadly, our old man passed. The nurses and vet who came to see us were so nice and sweet to us. We have two other animals and we will definitely come back for all our animal's needs.

Very helpful staff. Great care with good communication. They answered all my questions about the cost of the dental procedure for my 11 yr. old dog. The 'after-care' instructions included, "Call us if you help with anything." Dr. Appell even called the next day to check on my dog each time a dental procedure is done. I'm glad they are located nearby.

They take the time to listen to your concerns, examine your pet, and discuss with you your options for care. Sadly, we found them too late for our little Amber; but they handled her and us with integrity, empathy, and kindness -- as if we'd been seeing them her entire life. The Best Veterinarian and Staff I've ever experienced. Great bedside manner with all animals, and people too! Super LOW prices for Veterinary/and emergency Vet services. I won't take my little boy anywhere but here (open hours allowing). They are genuine and caring to all pets. They seem to honor and follow the Hippocratic oath unlike most doctors these days.

I have been bringing my dogs here since I moved to Clinton 9 years ago. The staff is very kind and compassionate. My small dog recently got very sick and we had to make the painful decision to end her suffering. Everyone in the office was so kind, I was told to stay as long as I needed, even though the office should have been closed. A few days later we received a beautiful card in which the doctors had written us a very comforting note. I will continue to take my other dog to Norris Animal Hospital because they not only love your animal they love you too!
