While it appears much nicer it's only because it's a new store. There are several employees that run the Gambit from kind and helpful to almost appearing to hide when you walk towards them. There's one Young girl with curly hair who is by far the most helpful.

The store is very convenient and close to my house but the majority of the employees are unfriendly and seem aggravated when they have to stop what they are doing to ring you up. They definitely won't usually speak to you unless you speak to them first. Friendliness and a willingness to help goes a long way.

The store has an extremely strong scent when you walk in - like they emptied a can of febreeze.I could deal with it and get a few groceries without an issue. It wasn’t a big deal until I got home and realized the groceries had that smell impregnated on them.I bought some mushrooms that smelled like fabric softener even after rinsing them, and when I cooked them they made the whole pot taste like it too.I had to throw out an entire pot of stew because of the mushrooms, so will not be buying groceries here any more.I think they’re likely fine for better packaged goods, canned or non-edible stuff… but in that case you can just go to another dollar general 🤷🏻‍♀️

Nice store and fully stocked. So convenient for this community. It’s nice to have it within six miles from my home. I don’t have to longer go into to an adjacent city for milk etc if I run out.

Waited over 10 minutes for help at self check out, And when employee arrived to help, they seem agitated that they had to help. Bought produce on one occasion only to get home and find it was rotten in the middle. And every time I have been into this store, the employees will not get out of your way while me the customer is shopping. Most of the time the employees are over to the side of the building smoking, leaving no one in the store . When the store first open, everything was clean, and the isles were accessible but slowly they are becoming crowded with boxes of stock and no one is putting it out.

This place is a joke. I went thinking I'd find some of the stuff I normally get at Walmart cheaper here. What I found was the same things I usually get either same price or higher. Example: Fancy Feast cat food.... small can .88 cents at Walmart per can..... 1.00 per can here. There's more but not taking time to list. Won't be going back here.

The store is very well-stocked and the employees are more helpful and abundant than most dg's. I've stopped several times and had good service every time.
