This is the only place I buy my dog's food and treats from. They have an amazing selection and are always super helpful and knowledgeable. I pay less and get better quality food for my dogs, they stay full longer and eat less for weight loss and mobility since they are seniors, it's even better since my dogs have allergies and sensitivities to big box store foods. They have a grooming station in the back and if you're not sure what your fur baby is allergic to they offer allergy tests with hair samples to make sure you're feeding them only what they need and none of what they don't, they even offer samples. So if you're looking to change your dogs life and give them better food while saving money then it's a no brainer to stop in and see what this store can do for you and your pet.

Had an amazing experience at the Downtown Dog yesterday! I took my Great Pyrenees in to use their self service dog wash and was immediately blown away with how clean it was. Faith was extremely friendly, helpful, and my dog absolutely adored her! My dog seemed extremely relaxed in our own little private room where we had everything we needed to make her squeaky clean. After her bath, she chose some yummy treats and we were pleased with the selection to choose from. I am happy we took our pup in to Downtown Dog and look forward to coming back!

We used their self-service dog wash after being turned away at PetCo due to their self-service washes being out of order because of recalled parts. The Downtown Dog was AWESOME and is now PREFERRED for our goldendoodle! The staff is so friendly and accommodating! I have referred them to all of my friends! So easy to use and they provide EVERYTHING you need to groom your dog! Well worth the $! Raised tub base and removable shower head makes washing your pup simple and not back breaking! The professional dryer is AMAZING and dried our pup so fast! They provide shampoo (a variety of scents and uses such as: whitening/oatmeal), conditioner, combs, brushes, waterproof collars, smocks, a head wrap for your pups ears, dog cologne, towels, shammys, AND they clean up everything (my favorite part is that I don’t have to clean up my bathroom after bathing a 50 pound dog! ❤️ Our goldendoodle looked like he just left the groomers after we left and I did it myself in less than 30 minutes!

I have a monthly membership. I take my Yorkie about 1x per week. Very friendly place. Always willing to get whatever products I need or prefer. Clean environment. I love that I don't have to wash hairy towels, get myself soaked, break my back bending over the bathroom tub and I don't have to clean up hair either. Love the option to do this

I was beyond excited to find this very convenient self grooming dog wash. They also carry holistic dog food with sales going on consistently throughout the month. I was traveling with my German Shepard and I have never, in her 13 years of life with me, have seen her coat so nice. Undercoat gone (for a bit at least), no more tufts falling out. The owner gave me the BEST advice!!! When we come back to Cleveland we will be visiting!!! Hoping I've made them a new customer with my family in Cleveland. You cannt beat the price and you can take as long as you want in their closed rooms. We got the big room in back and were able to shut the door and take as long as needed to clean our 2 pooches. Kids were able to help as well, and felt really good about doing so. Go visit these folks! You won't regret it!

I have had great experiences at The Downtown Dog. The self wash setup saves my back and prevents a mess at the house. They have knowledgeable people there to help and the owner is very eager to make the process better for all. They’ve made some recent changes that make washing more efficient all around. It’s always clean and they have everything else you need (treats, food, toys, etc…). The absorbent towels make drying quicker and the dryers are powerful. They even provide ear covers so your dog isn’t scared by the noise. I’ll continue going and you should check it out.

The Downtown Dog is absolutely the cutest pet shop we have ever been to! They had everything. We had so much fun today washing our pup in their super cool wash station. We picked up a new state of the art harness/leash that completely stopped our dog from pulling. This in itself has changed our lives already.Everyone here was incredibly sweet, attentive and helpful. Wide variety of healthy, high quality foods for dogs and cats. Stocks several raw brands for dogs and cats including Answers & Primal. My go to place for my cat's diet to keep him healthy and active. Plus there is a self serve dog wash that is very convenient and easy to use! Highly recommend to anyone with a dog or cat wanting quality products accompanied with knowledgeable, caring customer service.

Ok, so we had the light of our lives allergy tested and learned Trixie has 22 known allergies, 6 of which are found in varying degrees in most dog foods. We discussed the report with the vet and they recommended a prescription food and sent us home with a bag. After a couple days, we stopped in at the Downtown Dog to find some acceptable treats. Callie was there and patiently helped us. When she learned what prescription kibble we were giving Trixie, she immediately made the connection to the ingredient list and the 1st ingredient was high on the allergy list 😥. Callie made some suggestions for a much healthier food and treat routine for Trixie which we were open to trying. OMG, what a difference! Trixie has been on the new food (Small Batch) for about 6 weeks now and we have never had a dog that was so excited for every mealtime. She has way more energy, interest, and even her eyes are brighter. We love the Uptown Hound and can definitely say we are now also huge fans of the Downtown Dog. Callie and her staff are very knowledgeable about dog nutrition and we are very grateful clients.
