Greeted at the door šŸ˜ A lot of clean and empty animal habitats. We had fun looking for the lizards, frogs and snakes. They hide well. Many of the cats available, from local shelter, had been adopted. Shelves and shelves of quality products in a clean establishment. Much better than local competitors. However, one employee refused to help us (she "won't touch the rats"). The other employee was more than willing to assist us. Unfortunately, she refused to allow us to handle the rats, saying it was store policy. "To avoid bites" or such. She picked up the rats by their tail! šŸ˜³I would much rather had the opportunity to meet my new family member and make sure of my choice before leaving the store. She did not offer any habitat advice nor resources (food n such).They are lovely, healthy pets.

I really like the Petco perks membership. I was able to get $35 bucks off my last purchase and I've spent enough to where now I get 1 free bag of dog food! I'll take it. I think my only complaint is the staff isn't as friendly if you don't bring your animal in. I know, everyone loves a dog so people perk up. But when I come in by myself, every checkout person looks like they're ready to clock out.

Groomers are great and my Dog likes them all. He has been to others and shakes even as he's handed off- not here. They are fair priced and good at grooming and make sure all dogs have the necessary shots. As with pet products, they have everything one needs for their furry pals. If it's not in stock, they will order it free of charge and have it sent to you. Everyone there is very helpful and friendly!

Whoever spoke to my s.o. tonight on 1/3/24 over the phone about small rats, needs to figure out their tone while on the phone. Maybe management needs to step in and have some phone etiquette classes, because copping up an attitude when asked a question on the phone isnā€™t the answer. I donā€™t know what the inventory is, so instead of wasting my time and gas, I can just call the store, right? Surely theyā€™ll let me know whatā€™s in the store so Iā€™m not bummed out AGAIN because Petco is always out of everything, right?ā€¦ At least I thought soā€¦ This employee lady definitely made sure my s.o. knew she was bothering her by her calling and asking if Petco had small rats. Then to reply with ā€œwe have smalls and jumbos, we donā€™t measure by grams,ā€ cutting off my s.o. while she was asking for something smaller than 75g, after coming off of hold and swinging in with an attitude? She called to see if there were any small rats and ask if they were weighed by grams. Unbelievable. This just another reason why Petco doesnā€™t get my business, and why I tell everyone to steer clear; thereā€™s absolutely no care in these employeesā€™ hearts for the animals or customers. Donā€™t worry, PetSmart took care of my needs, per usual, and with a smile!!

I absolutely love Petco grooming. I have had nothing but rave reviews until the second to last time that I took my dog to groomed. Upon pickup I realized my dog didnā€™t smell fresh and still had dirt caked on her in certain areas like the bridge of her nose, her paws etc this is when I learned that Petco changed the formula of their shampoo making it really hard for the groomers to get our pets clean and smelling fresh. The Petco groomers were great, issuing me refund and also giving me permission to bring my own shampoo from home for my dogā€™s appointments which I did at her last appointment. This time she was clean, smelled great and everything was great but I still had to pay the pet supply fee which is a little upsetting considering I brought my own supplies. All in all Iā€™m asking for Petco to either bring back the old stuff or replace the new stuff with something better - and at the very least take off the supply fee if we are forced to bring our own supplies since yours is lacking. Thank you to the ladies of Petco that get Annie groomed in great time and with love and care.

It was a fast check out, the cashier was friendly, and helpful. I had to ask her to get an employee to help me grab a cat box from the top shelf and the person who came to help with that came quickly.

The staff is friendly and they have a wide selection of merchandise. However, as an animal and reptile lover, I am a bit concerned about the quality of life they give some of these animalsā€¦.they have 5+ bearded dragons in one tank, 3 chameleons in one tank, and 2 leopard geckos in one - might I add, the leopard geckos have NO HUMID HIDE and they look so miserable scratching to try and shed when all they need is HUMIDITY. I am curious to know if they do any research on housing requirements and care for these reptiles. I am also curious to what lighting these animals receive, because it looks like all the same lights and they all need different heat and lighting. I would hope they do better research on care, lighting and cage sizes. Beardies and chameleons and leopard geckos should not have tank mates. :/

Awesome service. Employee Adam helped me learn how to adjust 2 new collars I was purchasing for my dogs. Great sales in Clarksville perco where I was. I do not live in Clarksville but prefer that store so worth the drive.

Retuned/exchanged cat food. Cashier couldnā€™t locate the original purchase because some of the cans were not rung up correctly when purchased? Her manager sorted things out but I basically left feeling like my integrity was called into question as a default response before the cashier explored other explanations. This is a microaggression and is in no way acceptable given the amount of data exchange and transaction tracking taking place in 2023.

So my husband came with an email from our usual vet of the two vaccines we needed. Just needed those two to be up to date (rabies and dvapp?). They gave him many issues about not finding our profile and acted like he didnā€™t make one and pushed him aside. I had to send three different confirmations saying yes Iā€™m at the correct time and place. They made a comment to him that maybe his wife should be there instead of him and that he doesnā€™t seem to take care of the usual errands. Okay whatever. When he said many times that he needed those two shots and nothing more, he was shamed saying my dog would die without a lepto shot (my dog is almost 9, hangs out on the couch and in bed, doesnā€™t go to dog parks etc which is why I didnā€™t need it nor kennel cough shot as she doesnā€™t get boarded and doesnā€™t need grooming). Not only did he say that many times with push back, the vet ended up adding it anyways before my husband signed the iPad. When I got the paperwork and saw that, my husband said he did not authorize that and then the receipt said I needed a booster for dewormer even though my dog doesnā€™t have worms and on the card I got it said lepto booster. When I called asking which one it was and nothing matches or adds up and even though we said no to additional shots, the vet said ā€œwell your husband signed off on the iPad when I added itā€. Also on my receipt it showed 1 year rabies shot. I paid for a 3 year shot. When I asked I was told ā€œone year is three yearā€. What? Which one is it because thatā€™s important to make sure it doesnā€™t lapse. I was told that theyā€™ll send me a 3 year certificate if I wanted to even though my paperwork with my receipt says one year on the records they gave me that my usual vet has so even though I paid for a 3 year shot, they put 1 year on records. I still donā€™t know if my dog actually got a one year or three year. Paperwork doesnā€™t add up. When I asked politely why nothing adds up and why they added things we specifically said we didnā€™t want, the vet started screaming and cursing at the helpful person on the phone, Adam, about me. Multiple f bombs thrown about me and I let Adam, the guy who was polite the whole time and answered the phone, and let him know I didnā€™t appreciate being talked to and about that w from the vet who he asked the questions to to clear things up. The whole thing was extremely shady, nothing adds up, my records are all messed up now, and my dog got additional shots I turned down for hen had to pay for when they didnā€™t anyways and was told my dog needed boosters for those shots we didnā€™t want and I still had to pay for those boosters!! They shamed me for sending my husband, they called me cheap because we rejected any add on shots (again I had records from their sick vet that they only needed two shots to be up to date hence why we went to a shot clinic instead of a whole vet appointment. Iā€™ll never set foot in there ever again. They will shame you if you donā€™t give in and get every package they try to sell and given to what happened to me, theyā€™ll go postal on the phone talking about you and cussing you out and laughing about you. Good thing I recorded the call. I will be taking this to corporate.

To say we frequent this location is an understatement. Our two doggies love nearly all the employees we come across, but the treatment we received today from our cashier was less than appropriate and at this point, not sure we will ever return there again. Our two big fur babies tend to chew through toys on a weekly basis, so we decided to stock up on some tough chew toys. We went to the cash register, and as she is ringing us up, she was throwing the toys into the bag. As I was going to pay, I noticed the bag that was stuffed with the toys and dog food had ripped on the bottom and nicely asked if we could get a second bag just to ensure the bag didn't rip while walking. The cashier scoffed at me, told me they are actually bagless now and that she was nice enough to give us a free bag. The attitude, body language and overall look I received when asking was honestly disgusting. As much as we appreciate the "free" bag, it does us no good if it rips when we walk out of the store spilling everything every where (mind you my wife is with me and pregnant). I guess I am shocked at how the situation was handled, the way my wife and I both felt when we left. The cashier easily could have informed us another bag would have cost us, which we would have GLADLY paid, but instead took the route to make us feel like we were doing something wrong by asking that IF you are going to give us a free bag, it be one that actually performs the intended purpose of a bag and hold items and not rip. I'm sure everyone has bad days, but don't feel there is any reason to treat ANYONE like that. If you have a bagless policy and choose to charge people for bags, then that's absolutely fine, follow your rules and ask if we want to be charged for bags, but don't be rude when asked to give a bag that isn't ripped on the bottom and follow your own rules.

Great service, super convenient for getting my dogā€™s immunizations taken care of. They were very friendly and extremely quick!!! They really love animals there and have a great selection of products. I bought a tag for my puppy that was a little more expensive than I was comfortable with but it was worth it seeing how cute he looks with it on!!!

Great employees and the manager who used to be a trainer is very helpful and nice. The adoption group that comes through alot is one of the best. Both of my dogs came from them I couldn't imagine life without either of them.

I came to get my dog groomed. I was not able to do so but that was totally my fault for forgetting her vaccination paperwork. Thought I would make the best of it and let her walk around and pick something out. She was greeted, and loved on (her favorite thing), by every employee we came across, and everyone was also very friendly with me.

Been going here for grooming and pet supplies for almost a year. Havenā€™t had a bad experience but also not an ā€œabove normalā€ one either. The dogs are always smelling nice and looking fresh when done at the groomers. Store almost always has the items I need every visit and cashiers are always kind. Store always appears clean.

Great employees but some product is lacking. It's not a covid thing, they've never carried it. My cats love Friskies lil' soups and they aren't easy to find. We find them at Dollar General Market, Chewy and on occasion at Food Lion.

I was always a PetSmart person until my husband and I adopted a cat and then realized PetCo has a better selection of everything! They have healthier choices in cat food as well. All of there food are healthy and have products in them that are good for your pet while being affordable. Also everytime we go they have adorable kittens up for adoption that we love to go and pet and visit while in the store. Hereā€™s an example of one of the cute kittens up for adoption somebody to adopt Max heā€™s so handsome.
