I just want to say that I have had nothing but positive experiences with Kristie Mae and her staff both as a student AND fellow animal professionals. I first met Kristie (the owner) through Chance Animal Shelter when I worked as an animal welfare professional. I then took Kristie's beginner obedience class with my gigantic, loud and intimidating American Bulldog mix. Even though my dog barked at everything AND everyone Kristie did not kick us out and was so supportive and encouraging. Her program is awesome! I HIGHLY recommend them!

I recently attended the Fall event at Golden Puppies. I had some questions regarding my four year old Golden. The personnel at Legend were very helpful and offered a free evaluation for my dog at my convenience. I found them to be very helpful and not at all overbearing or insistent that I sign up for anything. If they had to reschedule some appointments, I believe it was unavoidable and people should have more compassion.

Group training classes were incredibly helpful for my daughter and her goldendoodle. We had the best experience and have already recommended to numerous friends. Thank you for offering a great class at a very reasonable price!

I have tried talking to the trainers and even the owner and got told basically she didn’t want to hear it.I have said all of this to the owner personally.-horrible communication, and it gets blamed on clients-not putting out quality training-price is TOO high for what you’re putting out-lying about customers feeling that have been told to owner-owner treating trainers horribly-trainer treating other trainers disrespectfullyWe have been so disappointed in our training. Stanley was NOT ready to pass public access. We barely passed and we have a dog that’s only good at walking on a leash. The miscommunication between the desk and the trainers was horrible and instead you blamed it on ME, the person paying your company to help us. We were told we could apply for scholarships but was NEVER told what it could be used for or when to apply. Also I asked multiple times when I could use the scholarship, was told it can’t be used for the public access test (which is $210 too much) and wasn’t able to be used for task training. We even did our public access test together with another team and there was 0 discount for either of us. I am HUGE about sending people to Legends Acres and my loyalty is huge but I will be suggesting many others including Tiffany’s company (one of the trainers who left while we were training due to the communication and many other issues) and whoever we have to pay to get our dog up to service dog standards and will tell my HONEST opinion about the company from now on. Also the talking down about trainers by one trainer in particular was not very professional. I waited to write this until I was not emotional about the situation like when I called about another miscommunication issue back 6 months ago and the owner directly spoke to me and downplayed everything we spoke about and gaslit me saying it was a me and the trainers miscommunication when the trainers were telling me they wanted to do training and you weren’t allowing it.

I have worked with Kristi and the crew at Legend Acres for almost 8 months. I rescued a 2 yr. old mix dog and wanted to train her as my service dog. Kristi has worked with us (I say US because she trained me too) weekly. The whole group of Legend Acres is fantastic! She is now my service, we are so happy. They are caring, informative and professional. I would recommend this facility to anyone.

Amazing staff, and team. Our dog was hopeless, until we found Kristi, and Legend Acres! She teaches so well, and gives you practical tools and methods. She is a dog whisperer, because she understand the psychology behind the dogs thinking. It is truly amazing, and we've learned so much. Our dog still has a long way to go, but we are so proud of the changes so far. I highly recommend Legend Acres for all of your training needs.

I have been a client of Legend Acres for almost a year now, and it has been a life changing blessing for which I am truly grateful. I had been to two other training schools prior. The first place did not use positive based training, and my little rescued street dog became more anxious rather than better behaved. The second place is one of the best known in Nashville. The training itself was good, but the class size was too large. Houdini and I did not get the private attention we needed to succeed. All that changed when I found Kristi and Legend Acres on an app called thumbtack. Kristi worked with us privately, and helped my little dog, who had failed his CGC exam at our prior “Big Name” school to pass with flying colors. Through her encouragement, he is now a service dog in training!! Kristi made a personal investment in us, and our success, and I could not be more grateful. More recently, I had an unexpected crisis with my living situation. I messengered Kristi in the early hours of the morning, and she replied immediately that I could drop off my cats. She and her staff did an amazing job looking after my fur babies for the two weeks it took me to find a safe new living situation for all of us. These folks care and are not just doing a job, but are on a mission to help people and their fur families.

We had such a wonderful experience with Legend Acres. Our sweet dog, Roo, was struggling with some anxiety resulting in a very reactive personality that occasionally terrified strangers. We completed the basic obedience course with Kristi where we learned how to get Roo’s brain to slow down and improve our communication with him. We are so happy with the results and thankful for all of the advice and expertise Kristi had to offer. She always listened to our issues and offered us an array of solutions to pick and choose from. Thank you Kristi! Also, this is a great value and totally worth the drive up from Nashville!

Our daughter learned to ride here at a young age and now owns her own horse which we board there. Kristy and all the staff have been amazing to us we don't live close by so we have trusted them for all his needs. They have gone above and beyond with his care. I never have to worry what's going on with him because Kristy is so knowledgeable she keeps us updated. We do recommend them for boarding and training.

Through positive reinforcement, force free training with Legend Acres my nervous, fear reactive golden doodle Noah has become more social. He can now follow commands and be around other dogs without being overly reactive. He has completed 3 courses of training through Legend Acres and has shown consistent improvement. As a student, mentor trainer, and now an assistant instructor with Legend Acres, I can confidently say that you will not be disappointed. We offer FREE assessments to help you determine which type of training would work best for you and your dog. Call for an appointment, meet our trainers, and we can help you and your pet build a stronger bond and address the desired behaviors you want to address.

I have been participating in the Legend Acres Mentor Program for several months now. I have had the opportunity to have been given a methodical approach in learning to train dogs at the professional level. This year in particular has broaden the opportunity by having to evolve to online training along with traditional group and private sessions. If you are looking for a way to train with a highly competent trainer, meet like minded people and help others have that impactful relationship with their pet. Then joining the Legend Acres team might be something for you.

I think they do a wonderful job of watching Bella. She has a good time there. We've boarded her there several times. Their business has certainly grown and that brings up my only negative. We now have to pay to have Bella walked or for someone to play and spend time with her out in the field. I liked it when they would rotate taking the dogs out of the kennel to run, play catch and to spend time in the fields. But they truly care and love all the animals.

I took my heelers for training a few months ago and the tools that Kristi gave me have been amazing. Gabby has started to come to work with me now that the days are getting longer and there’s less time to wear her out. She did amazing! I’m so thankful for the training tools!!

The Clarksville crew is wonderful. I got lots of training ideas and my 5 year old rescue Dog Luna and I are benefitting from what we learned. Thanks so much too Tiffany and the other trainer.

I took my 7 year old granddaughter for her first interaction with a horse. She was nervous at first but everyone was so awesone, they put her at ease in no time. She's alrady looking forward to riding again and was calling everyone she knows to tell them about her experience. I can't say enough good things about them.

I've been thinking about what to say, however, it is time to post my review. I will be as factual as possible:We boarded both our dogs over Christmas from December 23 to January 2nd. When we returned on January 2nd only one of our dogs was returned while we informed that our male had gone missing. Now he has not gone missing that morning, he had been missing since December 27th and we were not informed until January 2nd. Had we known we would've come home early. We were in constant contact with the facility after to facilitate more searching etc. however, their contact dwindled. I do not recommend this facility. While they did help us search after we returned, we've not seen our dog since he was dropped off. My children are devastated.

I wish I could learn to ride their, I live three miles away. I've always dreamed or thought about horse riding and getting my own horse when I grow up. I'm a 14 year old girl that loves horses 🐎💖
