Me and my husband go here just about every weekend to buy fish and coral for our reef tank. Friendly place and people and great environment. Plus the fish and coral are beautiful and great prices.

This place is heartbreaking. I feel so bad for the fish. I went to get some fish for my tank and nearly all of the freshwater tanks had an ich outbreak, the fish were completely covered in it. There was also a lot of dead fish left in the tanks, with horrible water conditions. It's sad that that's acceptable.

Less that 1 star. Everything we bought there died in a week and my tank is perfectly clean. It costed us around $40 for 1 freshwater fish and 3 snails. And all 3 were dead in under a week.

I needed a large reef aquarium (130gal)($4800 Waterbox) moved to a new house. Clarksville R&R said they could do it for me for $1400 which seemed reasonable considering the amount of equipment, expertise, and labor required. I provided plenty of information, measurements, and pictures. I was thrilled to find a company who specializes in this type of work. I was also reassured by CR&R that if any problems were to happen, their insurance would cover the expenses. The day of the move comes and only two people show up at my house in their personal vehicles, there was no vehicle that was large enough to carry the tank. Two people seemed like too few people to carry this tank. It was too few and I had to personally help lift the tank at multiple points. Luckily, I just happened to have a rented uhaul that we could use to move the tank, without this, they would not have been able to even load the tank into a vehicle. No lifts, straps, or other safety equipment was used. Upon unloading the tank at the new house, the tank was dropped and the corner chipped off. At the time, I was disappointed, but not too worried as I thought that their insurance would cover the costs. All contact had to be started by me; There was no follow-up by CR&R. After weeks of back and forth and my animals in various holding tanks, I receive a response that their insurance will not cover it. I did not receive any store credit, coverage, or even an apology. This was genuinely the worst experience that I have ever had with any company in my life. I am out a $4800 tank with nothing to show for it. This company has no business moving tanks and the store is always filthy/ covered in algae/ pests. The employees never seem like they want to help you and are obviously underpaid.

I've been here a couple of times. Both times, the employees acted like I was a bother for asking questions or wanting to hold the lizards. You could tell they were unhappy with their jobs. There's always a dirty old tank sitting at the front door in the way. The baby snakes were in the teeniest containers possible with a water dish taking up most of the room they had. One of the baby snakes was shedding but didn't have anything to rub it's head on to get the shed off his head and eye caps. They had 2 tiny baby bearded dragons in a full-size, adult lizard tank. One of the other lizards was clearly trying to find a heat source but it's light wasn't working - they only had an LED strip lighting up the enclosure 2 feet above it. The 1 adult leopard gecko was in a giant tank that had no light on to even see what was in there and it definitely could have been better utilized for a beardie. The fish selection was very sparse but nothing inherently bad at quick glance. Not to mention, their reptiles and fish were severely overpriced. Example: The - assumed to be - juvenile beardie with no special coloring to it was marked at $200...I would not recommend purchasing reptiles from this place (unless maybe you're trying to rescue them to get them) or strolling through here for a fun experience seeing unique animals because you're just going to be disappointed and get a cold shoulder from the unhappy employees.

I would NOT recommend buying superworms from here. They are priced well but after just a few days they smell awful and many are dead and others are slow and becoming lifeless. When I first received them there were gnats in it and another time there was some other tiny insects crawling around. I won't be back to buy anymore. Petsmart and Petco are overpriced but at least they are always lively and stay that way for a long time. Also, the dubia at Clarksville Reef & Reptiles is overpriced.

Friendly and helpful staff. We’ve only bought plants from this store as of yet but they have a variety of supplies and animal stock, (fresh & salt water as well as reptiles). Their tanks are awe inspiring! The place is heavily stocked compared to the size. Friendly doggo as well.

The best pet shop in town !I bought a p. Muticus (king baboon) Tarantula from here on an impulse buy because I’ve always been interested in Tarantulas but my parents never allowed one.He answered any and all of my questions! Later I did my research and everything he told me was accurate. Then I came in again just to see what he had in stock and I had my eye on a A. Avicularia (pink toe)But we were discussing what he could order for me and I just waited a bit to go get the other Tarantula and was sooooo pleased !I tagged them in photos on instagram and they contacted me when they were ordering again. Probably the best pet shop I’ve ever been to and they’re prices are manageable. Yes I could order the same thing online for $5 bucks cheaper but why not help out a local business who goes out of their way to make sure I’m satisfied with my purchase!

Best reef shop around (including Nashville). I never go to Nashville for any reefing needs, their markups are ridiculous. If you can’t find it here Andrew (owner) can get it for you. Everything in my tank comes from his store.

Great place with very knowledgeable/ helpful people. Staff is very friendly and always helps us with any needs very quickly. We buy our reptiles (mainly snakes) and all feeders from here. The animals have always been in great condition, and they will sometimes ask about previous snakes we bought and give great recommendations. Highly recommend this place to anyone. I haven't really looked at the aquatic side, but from brief looks, it seems cool.

Staff is nice as can be,as far as prices way more expensive on lighting and accessories they are almost twice as expensive as other pet stores around town. Literally just bought a 50 count of super worms 10 mins ago get home to separate them out I had 14 live and maybe 5 shells in the container. Not the first time this has happened either every time I buy dubia 50 ct I never get more than 25-30 bugs. Licensed wholesalers online sale 1000 dubia for 50$ that's the route I've been taking on top of shopping other pet stores for my worms. I figured I would give you guys another shot because you are so close to me but I guess you guys feal you are worth 50 cents a worm well to me not having a hungry beardie and leopard gecko is more important. My wife really wanted the albino leapord gecko you guys have but after dealing with this every time I come in I think I would rather spend more than double for one and buy elsewhere.

When I purchased a frozen feeder mouse, it was just thrown into a plastic bag, and was not fully frozen. I didn't figure this out until I got home with my kids and saw the guts and poop pooled at the bottom of the bag from being in the car, with the ac on for 10 minutes. My snake wouldn't even eat it because it was covered in gross and smelled like death. Unbelievable waste of money and time.

Absolute terrible care of animals. Went the other day with a friend to pick up some things and saw a baby Savannah Monitor who was basically a skeleton with skin and extremely dehydrated; we actually thought he was dead upon seeing him. My friend tapped the glass and he took a breath but he could not lift his head or open his eyes. The water bowl was huge- I don't think he could even get in or even access the water, and if he did he'd likely drown with how deep it was in comparison to him. I will attach an image. There was a tank of Bearded Dragons across from him, a normal and a few Silkies, and while the normal looked mostly good, the Silkies were emaciated and had so much stuck shed on their eyes they couldn't open them. Another tank a few meters away had 6 beardies in way too small an enclosure, when beardies aren't even really supposed to be cohabbed, and under them is a Uromastyx with feces smeared all over the tiles in the bottom of his tank.Near the beardies and Uro there was a tank with four ball pythons in it, with a bright light shining on them and no hide, which is an EXTREME no-no for them. They are nocturnal snakes who live in termite mounds- light stresses them. The only thing in their enclosure was a water bowl which three were squeezed into, one atop another, because they were desperate for SOME kind of security. I wouldn't be surprised if one ends up drowned because they're all trying to pile in. Not to mention the stuck shed on them.Back to the Savannah, we mentioned it to one of the employees and he came and took it out, claimed, "oh, sometimes farm-hatched savannahs just don't do good", this was.. no. This enclosure was awful and even if that baby had been a failure to thrive, he didn't even have a chance in there. This place should be shut down, I wouldn't even give them business if they weren't the only supplier of frozen rodents in the area that we know of.

This place is okay because when i asked to hold a reptile befor purchased the employee said no we dont get the animal's out for people to hold the employee seened scared that i asked or more like discussed they do habe good prices of frozen rats and mice and have good prices on supper worm .the reason i rated this 3 stars is because there customer serivce is not great and some of there animals cages are really to small

I came here to buy some fish for my mom. She won't go in there because of the snakes, which are right by the registers. Employees are helpful and knowledgeable. They have a large variety of freshwater fish, and I believe saltwater fish, too. Reptiles and amphibians are also here. They sell pet supplies for these particular animals.

Very friendly, great customer service. The gentleman that helped me was very knowledgeable. I love my aquarium setup and my Betta fish is beautiful. They take good care of their fish and reptiles. I was impressed with their Betta fish setup, each individual tank has a filter and aerator. Their tanks were not littered with dead, unhealthy fish... Unlike PetSmart!

Great place for healthy reptiles and supplies. Prices on equipment are waaaay cheaper than Petsmart or Petco and have the quality stuff in stock. Live feeder insects are affordable; crickets don't die quickly like Petco's.Offered me an older juvenile bearded dragon that was not on display instead of a baby for my 5yr old, which I absolutely appreciated! She was well taken care of there and is thriving in her new home with us.Check out the huuuge tortoise while you're there!
