After meeting up with a good friend from days gone by, it was time to get back on the road! That's when I realized that I had forgotten the jar of pickled sausages we keep promising Pops we would bring him from the south! (Not so much of the pickled products available in the north!) My friend directed me to the Swafford & Sons IGA, likely our last hope.of finding 'em on the road. It's a great store, reminiscent of the 70's but also feels new! Clean, bright, well-stocked, but did they have them? YES!! Big Jon's Red Hots Pickled Sausages! So grateful. They were easy to find. Of course we needed a restroom, and they had that too. 😊 All employees were happy and helpful! We were checked out and back on the road in no time! Thank you, IGA!!

I'm always in and out for chicken feed and quick food pick-ups, like milk, cereal, snack food, etc.. I like the people who work here and it's nice seeing all the young kids working here. They do a great job. The produce could use a huge face-lift and the prices can be a bit high, but it offsets the cost of gas to travel 30 minutes further. Great meat department! If you get a gas rewards card it pays off!

The only grocery store within 30 miles of my home and I will not return. High prices for off brands and the teenage girls running the place are incredibly rude. No way to contact higher management. I vote with my dollar. Example: Higher management will not see this post but the teenagers will.

Prices are outrageous and over half the time anything "fresh" isn't. I'm all about supporting the locals, but that goes both ways. Lower your prices!

I hadn't been in an IGA since I was a kid. I saw it and had to stop. This didn't disappoint. Great meats, the butcher was nice and friendly. A nice selection of products. It's good to spend local instead of the big box. Great, fast service at checkout.

Really good place to shop if you dont want to drive to town. I always get all my meats here cause i love the pick 5 deals. Friendly staff always there if you need help and they also have affordable gas.

The customer service of the ladies up front is very much in need of approvement, if ya want people to spend money then treat them kindly. Don't stand there gabbing while someone is standing waiting with a arm full of items. Don't make someone with a full cart of items go to the customer service counter. Rudeness is bad for business in my book makes me go somewhere else. I don't care where you're from.

I love my little Town and this down to earth grocery store. Never a wait, we can always get in and out with no wait. I just wish the cashier's and the owner were a little friendlier. Asked the owner a question and he replied like how dare you ask me a question about were we put our items.

Fine lil' small town grocery store. I have noticed it to be a much friendlier place if your family has a multi-generational residency. It is one of the only places in this area that will hire young people for their first jobs but don't you even consider applying for a position if you don't have a family member that grew up with the owners I am not saying this is a bad place, not at all. It happens to be the only place and I appreciate the service they provide. What I do not much care for is the cultural prejudice that hides behind those friendly captious country smiles. But what can you do😮‍💨

It seemed to have generally high prices. I feel they lacked a bit of friendliness as individuals entered and exited the store. I will visit again to get a "second" opinion.Update....02/08/22...I have been back many times. Maybe it was a "bad day" on the posted visit. I'm glad for a local business, American owned and operated. I'd rather pay more at times while supporting a locally owned business. They are at a good location.

Usually have what I need for a rural store. Clean and well stocked. Young workers need better customer skills though lol they never greet you with a smile or talk.

Support local! These guys, although a small store, try to be a one-stop place. Many items may be a few cents more expensive than the franchise giants, but when they run sales they got to be the lowest price.The staff is helpful friendly and actually in the store. Good selection in groceries and meats. The hardware is limited but many times has saved me a trip to town. And their prices on livestock feed beat Tractor Supply.

Its a great store with decent prices and stock. Along with groceries, they also carry hardware and lumber. Not to mention the gas station is always pticed fairly.All in all, I highly recommend this business for all your daily needs and projects.

Wow great store, Groceries, hardware, even plumbing supplies. This store has it all. Nice, clean and friendly service. Employees were really helpful showing me where items were located. They even have gas pumps too. 1 stop shopping. Setting up in Clarkrange at General Store for the highway 127 longest yard sale. So thankful this IGA grocery store is here.

Friendly hometown grocery store. I love that they sale almost anything you need to fix or repair things at home or on the farm. They also have a wide selection of feed, and farm needs. The owners give generously to the local community, and go the extra mile to take care of the customers.

It has some issues.... However compared to the horrible DG Stores nearby & total lack of ANY other place to shop... it needs a review.So Here's the good, bad & ugly....The Good - it's convenient for a large area where nothing else exists. Supplies for farms, small construction jobs or home repair can be found here.You get in & out quickly, No long lines! (My favorite part)Meat guy is Excellent. Great guy, great meats, ok prices.The Bad - Produce is lacking to be in farm country.Prices are good on some things & terrible on others. Seems odd.The ugly - No choices really exist, you either get what you need here or you drive a half hour.
