On 4/13/24 while sitting in their parking lot, a bag boy was gathering shopping carts and let a cart roll down the hill and smash into the back of my car. It gouged the paint down to the plastic. Then it landed on the van parked next to me and gouged the paint on it as well. Two employees came out with a notepad and took down my name, number and tag number. They said they would file a claim and that I would hear from them on Monday. Well it is now a week later and I have not heard anything. I called yesterday and spoke to a manager, Rowdy, who said he knew nothing about it. He tried to blow it off by saying that Food City may not be responsible. We have been shopping here for years and have spent a ton of money at this store, but we will no longer be shopping here. Basically if anything happens to you or your vehicle while on their property, they will not care. Beware of this place!

We met our friends here for lunch and the service was wonderful the food was delicious and hot. It was as close to a delicious home-cooked meal as you could possibly get. The lady who handled our order was very polite and helpful, I would absolutely go back here for lunch the next time we are in Tennessee

Very clean,and the employees are very nice and respectful.Fresh food,and they are always stocking shelf's.Some of the nicest and sweetest people you will ever meet.You people who make negative comments,try some of the other stores.These people work hard and are always friendly.If you don't like it,you are free to shop somewhere else.Sometimes you have to be nice and respectful to get it in return.I always shop here,and they are always nice and friendly.Be considerate and respect others.Keep up the good work Food City...

Once again they've been out of fresh pet dog food for over a week along with many other items that other food cities have plenty of. They blame it on the warehouse then maybe their warehouse needs better people to order church hill defibately needs someone better to order stuff

Food city deli hot bar is not took care of good. The mash potatoes was dry. Mac and cheese was dryNever see deli manger behind the line. Only time you see her is when she give samples. She sit on stool and ask if like try samplesThat over near registerThe ladies that work hot bar . Had not been train good. They need bring deli manger from.eastman road food city. Train all deli help that serve hot food.The store has great produce dept and meat deptAnd all other area of store. They have excellent dept manger that train there employees good . It's always good, I especially like the deli and eating there. Lately, though, getting quality vegetables is becoming a problem. There is an employee cutting vegetables and leaving seeds and rinds in the cuts. This is useless, and when it is weighed it becomes part of the price. A problem management needs to be aware of and address. My example is cut butternut squash with pulp seeds and rind.

Sales are great but they usually don’t have the items in stock! Otherwise their prices are way too high! I do highly recommend their bakery for their birthday cakes! I have got them from there for past 18 years and counting!

I was shopping at food city on January 29th around 5.30 pm and there was a Very RUDE employee working at the deli. She motioned me to come over to the counter to sample deli ham. When I spoke to her she asked me about my voice, asked me my name and made a Rude comment about my nails. The manager should speak to his employees and inform they they are there to work, Not to ask customers personal questions or make Rude remarks about them. I've always shopped at food city but probably won't be going back to this particular store because of this employee.

I shop here weekly. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only thing I don't like is they put too many items in the isles. It makes it hard to shop when you have to wait to get around them. I like to shop and get out quickly. I usually use self check out so I don't have to wait in line. There is usually only 2 cahiers open.

Train your deli employees in customer service. If there is a customer waiting you drop what you’re doing and help them. I shouldn’t have to stand around watching 3 people work, waiting to be acknowledged.

I shop here often because it's the storethat's located in my home town. The staff are friendly, professional and the service I receive is excellent each time I've visited. They have a large selection of fresh fruits, sea food and lobster. I've ordered cakes and treats from the bakery many times with each being of great quality and what I've asked for. They have a pharmacy inside the store where prescriptions can be picked up while shopping. They have a great selection of flowers and roses to choose from for special occasions. Overall they have just anything you need along with coupons distributed in local newspapers.

Food prices have skyrocketed since they built the new store. I think they used Covid as an excuse to hike the price up even higher . But the food is fresh.

I have a service animal and I had a cashier call me a liar and argue with me over my dog being a ADA REGISTERED SERVICE ANIMAL. Even after I showed her his service animal ID Badge she was still arguing with me and demanded to see my driver's license to prove that I was in fact his handler. I have never felt so embarrassed or disrespected in my life. I mean seriously who in their right mind is going to take another person's SERVICE ANIMAL and pretend that it's their animal. FOOD CITY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES FOR TREATING THEIR CUSTOMERS THIS WAY. IT'S HARD ENOUGH TO DEAL WITH A DISABILITY AND THEN BE TREATED LIKE A CRIMINAL FOR HAVING YOUR SERVICE ANIMAL WITH YOU. WELL THATS ABSOLUTELY ABSURD AND RIDICULOUS. I WILL DEFINITELY NEVER EVER GO BACK TO FOOD CITY IN ROGERSVILLE TENNESSEE EVER AGAIN.

The best thing about Food City in my opinion is the fact that u can save $0.30 a gallon on gas at any location every Wednesday as long as u have enough Fuel points built up. Unfortunately, grocery store bills and food prices r increasing due to inflation so it cost just as much to buy food for ur household as it does to go out to eat at a nice steakhouse restaurant SMH 🤷🏼‍♀️🙄

I had just left walmart on West Stone Drive and was gonna stop off and buy some stuff to make Philly cheese steaks. I was gonna get my meat and produce there because I think their meats and stuff are better. I went to get one green bellpepper and couldn't find any that was loose. All I could find was a bag of 6, and all I need is one. I asked a guy who was stocking produce if they had any loose ones, and he said they had asked for a week or two to get some. I asked why they couldn't bust a few of the bags and sell them as individuals, and he said it was a different charge code. How stupid is that? You can't open a few bags and sell them as individuals to keep your customers happy? Not everyone needs six bellpeppers.

I don't know even where to start. The church hill food city is beyond help! It stinks and the people don't have any sense at all! It's pitiful and pathetic.

I don't know what has happened with the salad bar and the smaller ones that are pre made but the selection is poor and this is the 3rd time I've got home and the lettuce is frozen only this time the eggs are also frozen. Frozen does not equal fresh. My next trip I will be contacting a manager to open the pre-made and explain this. Next will be corporate.

As mentioned in another review by another consumer.... The rest of the store is fine. We used to be closer to the Gate City, VA store and the chicken was awesome along with everything else from the deli. Church Hill store's deli is horrible. Chicken cooked until dry and has petrified wood consistency, also the potato wedges and chicken have the taste of oil that hasn't been changed often enough. Maybe whomever cooks the chicken at Gate City should come down here and train your deli people. Take action Church Hill Food City Management!!! It's an ongoing problem!

I always have a pleasant experience at this store. Everyone is always very friendly. The ladies in the deli are extremely nice and the hot food they prepare is delicious. The cashier's are always friendly and willing to help. The only issue I ever have is them being low on items I am looking for at times.

I have been shopping here for groceries for YEARS, the front end managers and cashiers are usually very nice. But the deli counter is awful. I stood in front of the lunch meat for about 15 minutes this morning on 5/12/23 waiting for the older lady working in that area to help me and she refused to look up from what she was doing. I know that she saw me and one other man standing there. I finally got tired of waiting and just left. Seems like every time I want to get anything from the deli especially lunchmeat, the deli associates are rude and act bothered by me being there, they are so unfriendly. Also the food on the hot bar is usually dried out and terrible and the bathrooms are filthy.
