The store wasn't bad, but the employee checking people out is slower than molasses on a cold winter day. Mentally and physically sluggish. She was moving so slow, and had so many input errors that people were leaving the store today, Saturday January 6, 2024. The employee was a female with long brunette hair. Maybe she's new, maybe she has a medical condition, but nonetheless please get someone else to operate the register that knows what they're doing and is able to.

Every time I go into this store the cashier's have attitudes with me and I have never done anything to upset them except try to use some coupons and they hate me for it and all I am doing is trying to save some money !! It's crazy how these ladies act sometimes! They won't even honor their own DG app coupons for their store. If they don't come off the total then it's OH WELL we can't fix it.!! Why have the DG app if u can't use it correctly and they don't honor it ?? ...I get harassed and discriminated against almost every time I go into this one DG near my house!!! .... It's crazy !! Nothing is ever done about it either. I see other people that say the same thing about the same women working there too !! ....

I'm standing in a very long line because there's a trainee running the register and a lady with a cart full of groceries and self-checkout has been out for a month now the experienced workers are hiding in the back God bless this trainee her name is sychia

I love this DG. The staff is always friendly, they never close up early, and have even remained open for me to finish up real quick if I was having a late night myself. That being said, they are consistently dwindling down on the availability of the products they offer. And it's not that DG has discontinued sales, it's simply a stocking problem, which has nothing to do with the staff, they do a great job with the resources available to them. They just aren't getting their deliveries in a consistent fashion. And it's getting worse instead of better. This used to be the store I depended on if I needed something right away, almost anything that I would need to grab really quick they would have. But not so much anymore. It's almost to the point that it is becoming a "browsing" store instead of shopping for "necessities and everyday items" store. Ex.. no milk or bread for 2 weeks at a time,no cat food in almost a month, batteries hit and miss, pretty regular items that should always be stocked. So the store is A+, clean and friendly environment with great prices, it just needs something done about their lack of available merchandise

There are different levels of Dollar general stores. The one beside Food Lion doesn't have enough room. The one in Mt Carmel is much better.

I am in this store almost everyday. Staff is always friendly and if for some reason their not it’s because they are newly employed and not use to the regulars that shop there or it’s their first job dealing with the public which sometimes takes getting used to. The only issue I have had and it is a recurring one is not having items I stopped in there for such as sugar was a big issue last year, milk on occasion, steak sauce I can afford and having Mane & Tail shampoo and conditioner both stocked at the same time. I have witnessed on several occasions that they’ve been busy when there are 2 or 3 working but only one check out open (except for the self check out of course), BUT I also think people need to slow down and have more patience plus show more compassion for others as well!!!

I actually love that the Dollar General Stores serves us in rural areas, and provide jobs for locals and brings our needs closer to home. It's been redesigned lately and looks good. Definitely worth a visit, as they have excellent prices.

Since moving from Indiana to Tennessee recently I entered your Dollar General for the first time. I found everything I was looking for with help from two ladies. They were both very helpful. When I got to the register I was exhausted because I'm a cancer patient and the lady at the register was so kind with me. For some reason my credit card was giving us problems and we tried entering it several times. The staff was so kind and helps me every way they could. I put that credit card back in my wallet and use a different one and it processed just fine. I felt terrible because I was holding up the line and I told the lady to go ahead and get the other people ahead of me because it was just taking too long. Your staff was so helpful to me and didn't get one bit frustrated. Thank you and I will be back. credit card back in my wallet and use a different one and it processed just fine.

Stock was every where as it always is. They had a display of the new mountain dew in cases up front. The sign below it said 5.50. Only to get to the register and it was 12.00. I don't know of anyone who would pay that much for a case of soft drinks. They need to change the sign. However the cashier was as sweet as she could be. A real asset to the business!!!

I will never go back there employees are very rude and definitely unfriendedly. They were following us around the store making sure we stealing there merchandise. I spent almost a hundred dollars but they just lost a good Customer.

Nice people. Just another dollar general.But they do have bags of Jack Daniels wood chips. Add the when you're grilling steaks. You'll be glad you did. Only thing is you might have to ask the employees to get them out of the back.

Very clean and well stocked dollar general compared to most. Cashier helped me alot when i came in i was having a really bad day and was in a somewhat upset mood. Cashier must have seen this and walked up to me and asked if there was anything they could do for me. I let them know i collect pokemon cards and i have been out hunting the tins that dg sells. There were none on the shelf so the employeee went and searched the backroom for nearly twenty minutes and found 7 tins for me. I would highly reccomend this dollar general to anyone. Thank you guys and keep up the great work.

If you’re going to require your customers to wear a mask, team members should be required to wear one as well. Today 08/04/2020 I had a cashier with black hair and glasses check me out while at store location 04142 , she was not wearing a mask while stocking shelves and while checking me out. This lack of compliance to your set requirements says to me and other customers your team has 0 concern for their customer’s health and well being.Also her inability to pull her self from her conversation with another staff member to come check me out after standing there for 5 minutes speaks volumes as well.

Its an okay place for a quick trip but it is pretty expensive for a store called DOLLAR General. I could have went an extra 10 minutes to Wal-Mart or Kroger and gotten the diapers cheaper. Plus they do not keep the shelves stocked or neat so it looks like a second hand store inside.

I give them a one because everytime you call this place they don't NEVER answer the phone because they are too busy talking to everyone instead of doing there job and watch what you buy from here I have found stuff that has been expired for along time.they need to get better employees.

Was near Christmas had much stock sitting around on carts and in shopping carts, many shelves were in total disarray just needed a good straightening up all over and being former retail management I can appreciate the mess but you have to recover at some point, I couldn't stand to mess so I left buying only a couple of items I managed to find

Good place to shop especially being so close to my house but the staff could be more friendly they are not always very nice and sometimes you can't get down an aisle sure to stock or the aisles are not big enough for 2 people to pass by

What's not to love? A lot of my necessities are found on the $1 aisle. Air fresheners, candles, laundry detergent and Ziploc bags. Plus you can grab milk etc when you don't want to go to the grocery store.
