I only gave this a one star because I had to so I could make a review. I have always been a frequent shopper at this location. The distant to our local Walmart and this location is the same for me and i have always pick the Dollar Store over Walmart. But recently this store is very nasty and no stock on the shelves. The employee act like it kills them to check you out. So I guess I will start going the other direct and do my shopping at Walmart.

I shop here several times a week sometimes several times a day as well. The staff is kind and helpful. The staff is always friendly, the only exception being when certain customers wait until almost closing time to shop and go to the check out at 10-5 minutes (or less even!) to time to close. Even then they are still polite.

They are never open by the time posted on their front door and online. Several customers were waiting in their cars at 9:05am this morning and were supposed to be open by 8am. No different store hours are posted for this location but this has happened to me every time I try to go there. They need to get an employee who can open the store by the posted hours OR POST DIFFERENT HOURS. If this location does not open at 8am like the others then that needs to be reflected online and on their front doors.

This is the absolute laziest staff i've ever seen. Not only do they act rude and intrusive by making weird comments on all the items you are buying, but they will have ten minute conversations with people who aren't even in line when the sore is full of customers with a line around the corner and only one person on a register. Not to mention the fact that the store is NEVER stocked on items because the staff is in their 60s and to old to be working a job that requires them to do anything with a sense of purpose. The ONE TIME i saw someone stocking i noticed that all the frozen food was sitting out in shopping carts COMPLETELY thawed all the way out and room temperature. Then i watched her put the thawed items into the freezer to sell later. How does this location even make money?

After the remodel this dollar general is a disappointment to the limestone area. I have been in there every day for two weeks and everything I go to get is not there and you can't walk for all the boxes in the floor. The people they have working in there are rude and act like they don't care about helping you. I asked if they had something and there was a lady stocking the shelf so I asked her and she told me to ask the lady at the register so I did and she told me to ask the other lady again. If they don't know the store they work at they shouldn't work there. my family and I used to go there everyday for something but I will not go back to this store unless I have to

These people assume you are stealing when you stand next to the bathroom, for instance my son was holding items while i used the bathroom, the female named named nicole specifically and the male worker named Zachary, they made him feel like a criminal, made him empty his pockets which had nothing in them, then stared at me, dont ever go to that store. I can't believe how they treated us, when i corrected her she was in the wrong she stated I'm not gonna argue with you, seriously wow. Wouldn't evenapologize for basically calling him a thief. I really hope these workers learn some professional and a better attitude. I honestly wouldnt give these 2 workers a 1 but i had to so i could let everyone be aware, i have never been treated this way ever. I will not be back. I used to shop here daily, but never again.

The store in Chuckey, TN has been "remodeling" for weeks. They supposedly completed the remodel in a week and posted a sign outside boasting of their "new look". The shelves are mostly bare of the items we need. It seems that they did not finish the remodel. We will drive an extra 5 miles to Afton where the store is well stocked.

In generL, a good place to shop. Clean, staff is nice. Occasionally they get short handed and you end up waiting too long in line to check out. Or they will run out of stuff

I was in the dollar general store ( store #12414) today ( oct.21) and they had a sign up under there 12 pack Pepsi that said 3/11 so I bought 3 of them and when I got up to the cash register to pay I tried telling the girl that there was a sign under the pepsi that said 3/11 so we both go back there and she seen it and took it off of the pepsi and put it on the mountain dews and told me that it was mountain dew only and there was nothing she could do about it . Which i thought that was a wrong way to do it especially for business. So I went ahead and bought the 3 so I wouldnt have to go to another store and as I was walking out I heard her say ' Some people just want stuff for free" which wasn't the case at all or I wouldn't have bought them. I spend a lot of money in that store and most of them know me for them to treat me like that.

Some wkrmers watch you like you're a criminal, literally watched a worker have an item in her hand, approach a young female accusing her of stealing something & ask to search her purse, was told no, grabbed the purse anyway & with the item still in her hand she stuck it in the lady's purse & pulled it back out & continued accusing her of stealing. Embarrassed the girl & her children to death & I watched the employee do all of this. I did not know either party involved. Last trip to this particular location

I love shopping at Dollar general store. I have compared them to other stores and they are cheaper and have a better selection. Me or my husband goes there everyday for something.

Jac is an amazing employee at our local DG. This store is ALWAYS out of something we need. If it wasnt for the friendly faces, id go elsewhere.

Cashier was alone. Line was very long. This happens a lot at the Chuckey Tn store. Usually on weekends when it's really busy. Have seen mgr leave and line very long.
