It’s been years since I’ve stayed at a Hampton Inn, this is hands-down the best one I’ve been at. The parking lot is good-size, the front desk staff and housekeepers are very polite. The hotel is CLEAN and well cared-for. Kudos to the staff on that. The breakfast is pretty good and all the details in a mid-level hotel are top-notch. Would surely stay here again if we are ever back this way.Noteworthy details: Indoor and outdoor pools are in good condition.

Passing through one night with our cat. Extremely clean hotel, despite it being pet friendly. Modern fresh smelling room, with lovely bathroom. Comfy bed, plenty of pillows, view of mountains, large breakfast room with lots of breakfast choices. $75 extra fee for pets, but nice to know they keep the rooms fresh. Only complaint was our loud coughing/talking next door neighbor-perhaps we heard him because our room was adjoining. Would stay here again. Also, if you’re heading northwest, it’s on the other side of Chattanooga-Rt 24-less traffic in the morning.

The people that work in this place are incredibly friendly and thoughtful. They answered every question and made me feel like a valuable customer.I know everyone says it’s outdated, but it’s still nice and clean. They said they plan to update the hotel in the coming year. Either way, it was still clean, a great price, and great people. The only issue I had was that as a Gold Hilton member, I checked in online and usually do this and use my digital key. I had no idea at this location this the hotel didn’t allow access to the front doors or any doors aside from your room. This left me locked out in the freezing cold at 1 am. Luckily someone else showed up to check in and helped me get in and then I met with a receptionist who was SO nice. That explained why and got me a key just in case

Over two weeks ago, I booked and prepaid online for a non-refundable two night stay. Wasn’t able to make it there for the first night so called the front desk to let them know. They told me no issues and would see me the next day. (To be clear, I wasn’t asking for a refund on the first-night as I understood the risks of booking non-fundable stays).Show up to the hotel on the second day of my reservation to be told my reservation was canceled and there was nothing they could do. After showing her my confirmation emails and receipts, the receptionist gave me two phone numbers to call and instructed me to figure things out with them. After being passed around a couple customer service representatives, I was assured that the property front-desk and/or manager could resolve this issue without problem. It was confirmed the money I paid had already been sent to the hotel so it was entirely in their hands. Frustrating since the front desk was who I started with but was glad to receive some clarity.Upon returning to the front-desk, I was informed there was no manager on duty since “she worked the late shift and was probably home napping.” As the self-admitted only employee in the building, she was “new to the job and not allowed to make any changes to what the computer said.” With my frustration growing, she offered to rebook me for a new room… only then to ask for payment. Needless to say a new room wasn’t booked. At my request, the receptionist called the listed “Manager-on-duty” but she, along with two other managers, failed to answer the phone. As it was then pointed out to me, “it’s Saturday so they’re probably out doing something or sleeping.”Most surreal and frustrating customer service experience I’ve ever had. Have genuine empathy for the receptionist as she was clearly - and transparently - overwhelmed and undertrained. Perhaps what resulted as my charitable contribution to the hotel can be put towards additional staffing and training.

I have had two previous stays at the property and really appreciate the kindness of the staff, as well as the cleanliness and the organization of the breakfast area and the individually wrapped cookies in the lobby in the afternoons. I also noticed that the locks appear to have been changed out recently, allowing for a seamless digital key experience which is very much appreciated! The ambience of the fire pit outside and the ample parking outside are also huge pluses. The only drawback is the location; the hotel is at the backside of a Marriott property and views are not optimum. Also, Hwy 11 gets extremely congested and the location can be difficult to navigate. Most of all, I appreciate the upgrades I have received as a HH member, because it doesn’t happen often! For some reason, only Chattanooga locations have offered this to me, and I have been a Diamond for almost four years! So, thank you Hampton Lookout Mountain and Hampton East Ridge for appreciating my loyalty. I wish all Hilton properties did.

Last minute business trip, got one of the last rooms on a particular night but couldn't extend my stay in time. The staff was very kind and it was all clean. Breakfast was great and very clean. I passed on the watery oatmeal, though. It can be somewhat confusing getting to the Hampton Inn, because it's almost hidden behind the Fairfield Inn using the same entrance.Safety: Security key systems worked better than my previous Hampton Inn experience.

Several things were wrong with my room, but they were things that I figured I could deal with and due to picking my own room, I may have brought this on myself. I did take photos as "evidence" that i had not caused the damages already in the room upon my arrival. The front desk agent was really nice. They gave suggestions of some things to do. Upon entering the room, greeted by a shredded up carpet. This is a pet friendly hotel, so i'm assuming a dog did that or maybe a cat or perhaps a goat. (Yes, i saw a man with a goat staying at this hotel. Maybe his emotional support pet?) No biggie. Just took a couple pics in case any problem arose dated and time stamped, I didn't ruin the carpet. Then my partner went to place his suitcase on the Satee at the end of the bed and saw several human bodily fluids on there. Yuck. Covered that with a towel, no biggie. You can tell this hotel needs updating. I don't know if I got unlucky in room picks or what, but it was just very dated. There were also 2 very long black hairs on my sheets when i pulled them back for bed, def would have complained about that for new sheets but it was 1am, so i huddled up away from them and on the bedspread, several spots of what looked like maybe grease? The carpet also looked dingy, not fresh and the room was pretty small. Everything else was ok, I feel like they mostly cleaned the bathroom but the actual bedroom area was an afterthought for the housekeeper. Would I stay here again? Sure, i'll let the room picking be the front desk job though now.

Extremely noisy hotel. Very very very thin walls and floors/ceiling made for extremely noisy stay especially over Thanksgiving weekend. Mattresses def are due for replacement and the pillows were horrible.Service was good front desk staff was helpful and kind and breakfast was serviceable. On the plus column was two dc fast chargers right out front of hotel.Rooms: Very dated and noisy mattresses and pillows were long past due for replacement.

Great hotel. We stay here every time we visit Chattanooga. The rooms are always clean with comfortable beds. The staff are friendly and greet us every time we come in or head out. There are great options for breakfast: boiled egg, some other type of eggs like scrambled or cheese omlette, waffles (vanilla flavored or cinnamon roll flavored), usually 2 types of meat like bacon and sausage, fruit, muffins or toast, oatmeal, yogurt and 2 or 3 cereal options. I think I covered it all. My only negative is that I wish they had cereal cups with gluten free labeled on at least some and a dairy free milk option available. If they had the dairy free milk option it is not readily noticeably. It would be nice if there was a sign saying they had it available upon request. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, although the indoor pool water was cold. There is also a fitness room.

Not very impressed for the price I had to pay. Our room was somewhat clean. The beds were clean but we found a kid toy on the floor and there were caps to toddler squeeze foods in the air conditioner vent. The outside pool was extremely cloudy. I didn't get in it but my kids did. How do you tell them no when you got them so excited about a hotel pool with a slide! A good scrub in the shower and their fine. Staff was friendly and the location was nice but would I stay here again? No.

Positive experience!!! I really recommend this place!Rooms: ComfortableNearby activities: Ruby falls, rock city, point parkSafety: Safe!!Walkability: Not reallyFood & drinks: Commercial area in front

To be fair I try to rate hotels based on who/what tier market they serve. Now all hotels are held to a certain standard (especially friendlyness). Additionally, you give a place some grace with the understanding that you get what you paid for. In this part of N. GA / W. TN your choices are limited but I am totally confused why this Hampton has received such a low rating by guest. Friendly staff, larger than average fitness center, a business center where both the computers & printer worked an this location has an indoor pool and an outdoor pool. Breakfast is sufficient and free and most importantly...clean rooms! Last but not least they have an amazing view!Nearby activities: Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain, TN Aquarium, several distilleries all close by.Food & drinks: The usual suspects when it comes to fast food and chain restaurants. All the majors are minutes away.

As a Hilton Diamond Member we are always grateful to find a location that is convenient, affordable and honors the Hilton pledge by keeping a top notch hotel. We are very pleased with this family friendly location. The staff was helpful, professional and friendly. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The breakfast was good with a large variety. The indoor and outdoor pool are super fun for kids of all ages. The outdoor pool even has a water slide. The night we stayed was super busy. This presented some interesting challenges that the great staff worked to overcome. Our biggest challenge was the noisy kids in the room above ours.We loved so many aspects of this hotel and would stay here again. But we would definitely recommend staying in a room on the 4th floor at end of hall as it’s the quietest.Otherwise- we give this hotel 5 Stars ⭐️Nearby activities: Conveniently located near rock city. There’s also Walmart within two minutes of this hotel.

Overall beautiful hotel with a stunning view. Check in was easy and the front clerk was nice and helpful. The room was comfortable and spacious. The bed was the right firmness with cozy blankets. All 3 of us slept well. The outside pool was relaxing and nice to swim. The slide was cool and we took our one year old in the baby part. The view from the pool was awesome! The inside pool is hardly used and we took advantage of that this morning. When I checked in the front desk person said the pools are open from 10am-10pm. The indoor pool has 2 signs that state the pool is open from 6am-10pm. I called the front desk this morning to verify when the indoor pool is open and she said 10am. We went downstairs and asked a different employee and they said the indoor pool opens at 6am. So we used our key and the pool door opened. We took advantage and went swimming at 8:30 am. I don’t know if the front desk people don’t know or what but there is a huge miscommunication in when the indoor pool opens. It clearly has 2 signs (1 inside and 1 outside) that states the hours. If the hours are incorrect per the front desk then the sign needs to be updated. Anyways, we enjoyed being the only ones in the indoor pool this morning waiting for the outdoor pool to open at 10am.We finish swimming in the indoor pool and start making our way to the outdoor pool. It’s 10:03 am and the gates are locked. We seen the guy cleaning it for a couple hours this morning so it should be open. My husband went to the front desk and asked about it. They said some kid threw up in the pool yesterday so it is closer to thoroughly clean it and check the PH levels. No sign stating of closure, no heads up from the pool employee, nothing. We were upset and ended up checking out early. Our plan was to stay until around noon so we could get a swim in but that bursted our bubble.Would’ve been 5 stars if the communication in pool hours/pool being closed was clearer.Rooms: Very nice comfortable rooms. We stayed in an executive king. The shower was spacious and hot. The bed was semi firm and the covers were soft. The only thing I hated are the tiles in the bathroom. They are so slippery when wet and our one year old slipped a few times and hit her head on the tile. Even after wiping it down and putting towels on the floor I was still closing the door to make sure she didn’t hurt herself. I slipped this morning in there too.Food & drinks: Really nice breakfast and they have a snack section of items to purchase.

I was very impressed with this hotel. Very clean, comfortable beds and the continental breakfast was delicious. None of us were expecting the food to be that great. It went beyond expectations! And we were worried that being right next to the interstate it would be loud but that was not the case either. We all slept just fine! I will keep this hotel in mind for sure for future trips. Thank you so much!

Very nice Hampton Inn. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was decent, the workout room was roomy and VERY clean, and the indoor pool was sufficient. My only complaint is that we stayed here two nights the Thursday/Friday before Memorial Day and the outdoor pool was still closed for the season. Honestly, the main reason we stayed here was for the outdoor pool because we have toddlers and knew they would have a blast so the pool being closed was a huge let down for our family. Apparently, the Chattanooga health inspector had not yet approved them opening the outdoor pool yet so I won’t dock stars against them. If you’re planning to stay here for the outdoor pool for your kids I would call before you book and confirm it is indeed open…

The hotel was in a good convenient location by the interstate, not in the middle of downtown. We heard Some noise from the highway traffic. Friendly staff. The room (3rd floor) was lacking. Ours needed renovating in the bathroom. Mattress was not as comfortable as we’re used to at Hampton. I would ask for a newer room if there is one.Nearby activities: Rock City, Ruby Falls and Incline Railway are within 10-15 mins.

Aug 2023 Another Stay - Jackie is amazing! We highly recommend this hotel. We had a lot of needs for our team and Jackie did not mind helping us at every turn! Thanks for treating us so good Jackie! The following is our previous review from a Jan 2023. This was a business trip for us. The hotel is clean, the food was good and the best part was the staff. Mattie at the front desk had phones ringing and phones on hold but she still maintained a pleasant demeanor. Mattie was patient while making sure my room changes were complete before she moved on to her next task. Thank you for the kind service while we recover our vehicle from the icy road. Oh, we did have to walk and this hotel sits atop a small hill. Just FYI.Rooms: Jackie made sure we were not on the floor with all the children. Thank you so much!

The people that work here are so friendly!! From the front desk, to the wonderful people that kept our rooms clean, to even the attendants working breakfast- all lovely and accommodating! Shout out to Jessica the kitchen manager, she was my favorite. It was my boyfriend, myself, and our two dogs and I didn't expect our stay to be so smooth, easy, and relaxing. We will definitely be staying here again on another trip to Chattanooga.
