I always go to this Food City because it's walking distance. There new ones that are just above and beyond. The one on Ringgold road has a Star Bucks inside and a fresh salad bar that is to die for.. It can be a little more expensive on some items than other grocery stores. But I still go almost daily..

I've been shopping there long before they turned it into a Food City. I remember when it was a Kroger Store where you could get everything in One Place and now you have to go through a ton of traffic and all kinds of headaches just to find what you're looking for. It's been 4 different stores since they named it Food City. The very first one I recall was in Gatlinburg Tennessee we were on our honeymoon.

Okay so this place has a lot of flaws clearly.. half the food on the floor is expired or already open, the produce is usually disgusting, and the coolers are often broken down when I go. It’s a very small FC so obviously there’s limited selections. It’s also got a certain smell.. kind of fishy. 🤔 Apparently theft rate is high, because I have to trek around all the blocked registers to get to the pharmacy.That being said, the pharmacy is the saving grace of this store.. they’re always so nice and helpful. They’ll go out of their way to help you and I’ve never had a bad experience with them.The other employees are usually pretty chill too. Obviously they’re not thrilled to be there, but who can blame them.

I have been going to this store every since it opened many many years back. It certainly has changed a lot since when I was just a kid going there ,I would go with my grandmother. Before it was food city it was a bilo, and before that it was a red food store. And it was a drive thru theatre way before that ,I like this store ok. I just hate that every time I'm there theirs always a long wait in the lines,as theirs never enough cashier's working and the ones that are working a register seem to always be playing on their cell phones. It's very frustrating so I usually go to the east ridge location instead even though it's about an extra mile and a half from my home I'd still rather drive the extra distance than to have to wait in line forever

The prices are always better than Kroger's and they don't make you collect digital coupons and use the Kroger card . If u r a faithful Kroger shopper I ask you to try Food City just once .

Food was good but it was too expensive I got a plate from the deli was really good pinto beans tasted them could not eat them because they had pork in it my bad I should have asked that question

EDIT: Received temp response, notating it would be passed to district level, but quickly removed and no further response. Its clear where they stand. spend 06% more and get safe products from literally and other chain.-------------------Bottled drinks from the front area are almost 9 months expired. Went to this location today, 05/18/23, and grabbed a soda from the front register on my way out. Realized it taste kind of weird on the way home and when I looked at it it had an expiration of AUG1522.9 MONTHS EXPIRED. I'd hate to know what expiration dates are on items we can't easily know for sure, like meat.

Bought 3 toothbrushes and a bag of chicken patties. Only spent $8. I pretty proud of that. Store was clean. Employees were friendly. That store has a never ending smell of stinky seafood tho 🤮🤢🤮🤢

You want it , we got it and we got more parking than any grocery store in town . Probably twice over . Plus if you're feeling frisky you can hit the drive-thru at Captain D's on your way out . That's right there's a Captain D's right next door .

This place is disgusting. I just went in to buy a load of groceries and the first thing I see is moldy peaches, there were actually three separate containers with peaches and each container has a moldy piece of fruit.I returned my cart and walked out. I'd rather go out of my way to shop elsewhere than be faced with a rancid selection of produce.

My cashier was typing on her phone the entire time she was ringing me up. I understand nobody likes cashiering the closing shift - but there isn't a self checkout here, so where else am I supposed to buy food? 😵‍💫

Good stuff. My oyster crackers turned out to be on like a buck something. I not only used my phone number on this isn't but I was granted an additional 5% off. Really great visit.

There are better Food City stores around town. If you have to get something here be prepared for a dirty parking lot with a chain link fence and industrial equipment running through it. Inside you get a sense that the employees are frustrated by you being there instead of a welcoming attitude. Just get in and out. If possible go to a different location.

Definitely ask them for a membership card!! Its completely free and you can use it the same day. That being said, be cautious of what you buy here. Some things are extremely cheap, while others are more expensive than other stores.

This was the best stocked, cleanest, freshest meats and vegetables of any Food City that I have ever been to in my entire life!!!Amazing Customer Service and All registers were staffed, and every department was staffed.Management actually greeted you and spoke with you upon entering and exiting the store!!
