This food city is by far the best one around. Salad and wing bar , a taco bar , fresh made sushi and a cafe inside ! Also a Starbucks! Has a lot of good selections on everything from meat to veggies and frozen food. Has a floral area also ! 10/10 would recommend this store.

This store was incredibly organized, clean and they fresh items in the deli. I was very impressed. I don’t mind paying alittle more for groceries at a high end store like this one. My friends who live there aren’t going toAny other store but this one after the experience

Helpful, friendly staff. Great variety, prices and quality! Local, convenient and what else can you ask for?

If you have more self checkout then cashiers you don't care about your employees or customers. Whatever happened to real customer service? Profits before customers and employees.

The store is new and modern. It is quite clean. But the aisles are crowded. And in looking around, I noticed that junk food was the prevelant sale items, with healthy food choices the same as places like Publix. Staff was friendly enough. No one offered to help take the groceries out to the car, even though my companion was in an electronic cart.

The one in east ridge is great. It's like going to a fair are something better. I wish the one in fort oglethorpe Georgia Was as nice as this one.I could shop east ridge food city all day. It's Very enjoyable. I will probably start coming all the way to east ridge food city instead of the one next to my house, whitch is Fort Oglethorpe Georgia.

This review is about the pharmacy only. When my CVS pharmacy shut down, my BCBS pharmacy benefits manager said to use this new Food City Pharmacy going forward. Not a fan of pharma inside of grocery stores, but OK. Have been using them for past year or so, mostly satisfactorily. I then got a script for an expensive drug that is not covered by insurance. After FC received the script, they said it was in-stock in Dalton - and they would have it the next day. The next day came and went, and they said they it didn't come in. After three days of this, I called around and located a CVS pharmacy in Soddy Daisy that did have it. CVS got the script from this FC store and filled it for me.The following month, I had a new script and had it sent to this Food City. Same thing happened. They said it was in-stock in Dalton. Three days in a row the pharmacist says it didn't come in. When I asked why, she said "we don't know". I said why don't you call them up and find out why they say they have it in stock and then fail to fill it, repeatedly. She said, "That's not how this works". How does this work? "We don't/can't challenge what is sent to us from our daily order or ask questions about why something wasn't sent. That's just the way it is"I called what is now my new pharmacy, CVS (in Ft O), and had them acquire the script from this FC. They promptly filled a three month's supply. The lackadaisical attitude of this FC pharmacy staff, however acquired, means $13,000+ a year going somewhere else.To Food City management: How many times a year does this happen to you?

I was excited initially when the new one opened and for the most part it’s been great. However the meat department needs some help. In the past 6 months or so we’ve either accidentally bought, or noticed meat on the shelves that was either expiring that day or was already expired. This wasn’t meat that was discounted either. In every case it was full price. This is incredibly frustrating when trying to plan meals for the week, then having to rebuy ground turkey you bought on a Saturday that had already been expired for 5 days on Monday when you wanted to use it. It’s not unreasonable to expect meat you buy at the grocery store to still be good 2 days later.

Very nice interior, clean. Delit actually makes decent food, not to mention an in store Starbucks. You pay a slight premium for this, but generally it's often worth it.

I was checking out and 1) the young male in there was literally SLINGING my groceries down the belt. Which is fine, whatever. I’m sure he had a long day. Only one thing was broken and the bagger boy offered to replace it when he noticed. He was sweet. Then, 2) My Doritos did not ring up correctly. They were supposed to be $4 on a hot sale. It rang up $6.99. I checked the sticker and everything because I know you guys use super small print sometimes. There was only 2 left on the shelf. I got one and left the other for someone else. I asked the bagger boy to fix it. “Well that's the price it’s ringing up so do you want me to take it off?” I said no, I wanted it the right price. I asked him to get his boss. She proceeds to walk back to the back of the store. I’m waiting embarrassed and frazzled. Customers upset behind me and groaning. After a small panic attack, I just told him to let me pay for my stuff and go. I wasn’t going to hold up the entire line. I’ll never be back. Was my hometown grocery store. Walmart market will do just fine from now on and make sure their sale signs are accurate. Sorry to the people who bought all the other bags and must’ve missed that they rang up super wrong. Feels a lot like they’ve been stolen from, doesn’t it?

This Food City specifically is on the higher end of the spectrum, in comparison to other nearby food stores. Their bakery and other "in store" made products are just as nice as Publix or any other similar type of food stores, and that whole section of the store has the same tone and feel as those stores. They have a good variety of some very nice products that perfectly match the season right as soon as you enter the the store, and their alcohol selection is fairly extensive to be a food store.

I like to walk into any business and talk to any employees and get information about items I need and where they are located. This store and most every employee in it can not tell you anything about anything. It's actually very sad because food city has the opportunity to be a great store but nobody there has the desire to make it great

This location is the only Food City that sells Schweppes raspberry gingerale in my area. Due to this, I always buy all the stock available when I make the trip. They always have deals for buying 3 12-packs for a discounted rate per unit, so I always try to make sure I get my quantity in a multiple of 3.Today, I was excited because they had a new promotion of $12.98 total for 3 cases. I decided to buy 15 to stock up while this deal was available. When I checked out, the cashier seemed a bit confused, and she called another lady over that I assume was a manager or supervisor of some sort. The "manager" informed me that the deal is only for 3 12-packs per DAY. I've never dealt with a daily cap limit when they've had other "buy 3 12-packs...." deals. I was extremely disappointed about this. Especially because I didn't see any documentation dictating the hard cap limit of 3 per day. Also, this "manager" was very rude and seemed like she had ZERO desire to help me.For Pete's sake, I'm buying 15 of these things. Help me out in some capacity. In any case, I still got all 15, begrudgingly, because I already had them all in my buggy and I was ready to go. My bill was enormous though since I didn't get the deal I SHOULD have gotten. After I loaded all of these 12 packs in my car, I went back in the store to look at the sign advertising the deal. Sure enough, it does mention the deal being once per transaction per day.HOWEVERIt was in really fine print. This is extremely underhanded and deceptive. Totally despicable.I took a picture of the sales sticker and I've attached it to this post.If you have to put stipulations for your deals in fine print, you're not running an honest business.Lastly, I called the store after I left in order to get the contact information for the District Manager. I was put on hold 3 separate times, for a total of 7-8 minutes, and I finally gave up.With all that being said, I am absolutely livid. I will frequently be speaking negatively about this location via social media, UNLESS someone reaches out to me and compensates me in a manner that honors the deal.DO NOT shop here if you want to be treated fairly and with respect.

Very clean store. I usually drop by the TVFCU to cash my check and often get a rotisserie chicken and some drinks. They're occasionally sold put of the chicken but their salad bar is absolutely awesome when that's the case.

The store is nice, but some of the customers are not so smart if they think they're going to get away with stealing. If loss prevention doesn't catch you GOD WILL.....

Love the staff in this store! They are friendly and apparently hilarious too! They are promoting funding for the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation by giving away free two liters of Food City brand cola if your cashier forgets to ask you to donate! Priceless! Gotta love the irony. How about a little diabetes soda to help you with your diabetes, kiddos!? 😂

Tried to order a breakfast burrito this morning and the person who took our order used the same gloves while taking our order to make the burrito. Then proceeded to walk into the back to get cheese while walking through a door and touching the door with the slice of cheese in their other hand. Absolutely disgusting. No awareness of cross contamination. If they do this in front of patrons then imagine what they do in the back kitchen. I do not recommend ordering food from here. We immediately walked out. Never going back.

This location is very large and clean and has a great selection of groceries. Lots of friendly employees and lots of check out lanes open and available. My only complaint was checking out there was no one bagging groceries and my cashier didn't indicate I would need to bag the items myself so at the end of the transaction my groceries were thrown haphazardly by the cashier and then myself. And then the cashier began ringing up the next guest before my groceries were bagged or even removed from the counter and our groceries became mixed together. The cashier was very nice but might have needed a little help from any of the other several employees that were not currently helping guests.

I have been visiting this particular store for the past two months, during which I have spent a considerable amount of my hard-earned money. However, my experience there tonight left me feeling disrespected and discriminated against. I entered the store with the intention of purchasing pet deodorants to address my cat's marking behavior due to being in a new environment. Since I only needed one item, I didn't bother to get a shopping cart.Upon noticing a sale on fragrances, I couldn't help but pick up several items. As I was browsing carpet cleaning machines, which are effective in eliminating pet markings, I saw a woman dressed in black with a baby stroller repeatedly crossing the aisle. The situation struck me as peculiar. After grabbing a few more items, I headed to the self-checkout lane. While checking out, I noticed the same woman pretending to converse with an employee just behind me. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that her baby stroller contained a fake baby. Moreover, I overheard the self-checkout attendant speaking on the phone, requesting someone to oversee that I scan all items properly. At this point, having paid for everything I had picked up, he knocked on the security room door to be allowed inside.Feeling extremely humiliated and targeted simply because I did not use a shopping cart, I am resolved not to patronize any of your establishments again. While I understand the need to safeguard against theft, I am at a loss as to what led me to become a suspect in the first place.

Food City is my go to, when I don't feel like making potato salad,or baked beans. It's the best I've had outside of Mom's lol. They always are pretty much stocked throughout the store. So it can literally be a one stop shop. Nice atmosphere while shopping. And yes, they have Starbucks inside😋
