This is my 1st time here. It's a nice store. The produce is beautiful, I mean for real. It's bright with good-sized isles to go down. There are plenty of selections to include a vegan and gluten-free area. The beer and wine sections have the basics stuff, u will not find specialty beers or wine, but it's fine for the everyday stuff. The seafood looks good and the meat looks fresh. All in all, a pretty nice visit.

I live way on the other side of 58, but my meds got sent to this one. So I have never been into it until today. The pharmacy tech? she has blue hair was very sweet while talking to her, she asked the pharmacist to read off a paper to me bc I haven’t taken this medication before. As the pharmacist was reading it , the sweet girl with the blue hair had a suggestion, pharmacist quickly dismissed her and said “ sorry “ girl with the blue hair said “ it has to do with her medicine, it might help “ pharmacist dismissed her again. As the girl with the blue hair was walking back up to the counter pharmacist VERY QUICKLY threw everything in the little bag rushed it to me away and said have a good day waving me off like I shouldn’t listen to what she has to say BUT , I heard you girl with the blue hair , I’ll take it at night so I won’t be sleepily all day. thank you I wish I caught your name blue hair girl.

This is my local food City, and although it doesn't have the most fancy schmancy storefront, you get treated like family while you were there, and they will always take care of you. I love the staff at the store!

Its clean and everything is pretty easy to find. A bit on the pricier end of grocery shops but their deli fresh food is nice along with their pharmacy. The staff isnt the friendliest but not the worst.

As far as Chattanooga goes, this is the worst Food City. If they didn't have employees, it would be awesome. Caught a Lyft only to have to wait over 15 minutes for someone to assist me at the customer service desk. The whole time I stood waiting, the individual working the desk was at the self checkout having a good time. There was also someone in the office who could see me standing there. These are some of the laziest people I've come across in many years but the laziest at any grocery store. They ended up costing me for another ride. All their sorrys did nothing for my extra expenses caused by all their sorry employees.

Nice, organized grocery store. Not a fan of the prices. I think they’re a bit expensive on some products. They also will not use a food city card to help you out. So if you don’t have one then you’ll be paying full price for their products.

I've shopped here for years and I'm always happy with my experience. There is a wide selection of brands and items. The produce in particular is always top notch. Even if I shop somewhere else for things, I still buy my produce here.

I frequent this Food City weekly and I am always satisfied with the prices of meats and other items. For most of my bath needs I go elsewhere, but many other items I purchase here. Usually a great place for BOGO free items its safe to say they can give Wal-Mart a run for their money.The aisle are fairly wide but could use a little more room for those shopping moments with other people but you can normally manage well. The parking lot is spacous enough with several handicapped spots conveniently place for added comfort for those in need.The big bonus to me is the small buggies offered here, for those momemts you dont need a huge buggy lugging it around the store just for a few items.Give Food City a try, its a good no make that a great alternative to our long gone Bi-Lo.

The pharmacy at Food City on Hwy 58 is great because of Angela, the pharmacist. She is very kind and always helpful. She will go the extra mile to find you the lowest price for your medicine. Go see Angela at Food City!

I live down the street from this Food City on HWY 58 and as of today I refuse to walk back into this store. I will drive 20 minutes away before I EVER go back to this store. This has to be the worst grocery store I have ever been to in my entire life. The employees are beyond rude each and every time I visit this location. I love going grocery shopping and am so happy when I walk in, but by the time I leave it really makes you feel sad. I just can't believe how the employees treat the customers. The managers obviously have no control over their employees. The cashiers run around with EarPods in their ears, rapping to their music like you are not even there....and please don't try to engage in conversation or ask a question. I tried the self checkout because the cashiers are so rude. The woman Diana there is so nasty and rude as well. Finally I asked her for a manager, she looked at me and yelled at me, "WHAT" What do you want and why do you need a manager? It's a scary place!! What is this world coming to when you can't go to a grocery store anymore!!!

Run down stores that appear to have no major updates since Red Food. Their outdated inventory is beyond expiration. It is curious that they offer no self checkout..... I suggest that everyone drive a bit further for an Aldi where prices and freshness are much better.

Food City is bright, clean, well stocked, best service for cashiers and helpful employees, but...all that comes at a price. Less expensive than Publix, but still quite a bit more than Aldi and (dare I say it) Walmart. Still, it's a very nice supermarket

May 21, 2023For many years I have shopped at Food City, Highway 58 in Chattanooga, TN. I have always been impressed with the courtesy and helpfulness of the employees. Many times I was thanked for my service as a combat veteran. All the employees were always respectful.That ended today when a supervisor named Debra at the self-checkout was completely out-of-line and extremely rude in several ways. Ruder than any associate I have ever encountered. This occurred Sunday, May 21, 2023 about 12:30 PM. She was assuming, boisterous, made a display of reporting her action to the store manager, taking my receipt requiring me to wait to return an item and after returning my item to another associate she passed close by me to smirk. When I left the store I found the store manager in the parking lot and reported my distain of Debra’s behavior to him. If I ever return to this store and she is there I will never shop at Food City again.

The past 8 or 9 times I've stopped at this Food City there has been legitimately rotten vegetables in the produce section.We've stopped buying produce from there as a result, but this last trip was bad enough I felt like I had to say something.

I have been shopping at this store for 20 years (Was Winn Dixie, then Bi-Lo and now Food City) They have all been good and there are a lot of the same folks still working there. I have found the majority of the people there are friendly and helpful. Maybe a few grumps but you will run into that anywhere.When Food City took over they did a complete remodel and added a fuel station also. The store looks really good and the lay out is pretty good now that I have gotten used to it.The store is usually nice and clean but could occasionally use some cleaning. I worked in a grocery store for several years and I know that it is difficult to keep the floors spotless but someone should be checking the floors more often. Not a big deal really, just a suggestion.The store is well stocked most of the time and usually has the products that I want. I do feel sometimes that the proliferation of their store brand products crowd out other brands at times but is not a huge issue. I do like and purchase some store brands but there are some things I am particular about and don't want to change.All in all I am happy with it an appreciate have a grocery store that close to home considering that we live pretty far out in the unincorporated part of the county. The next nearest store is 5 or 6 miles further from me (more than twice as far)

They have all the foods I love. Lots of specialty foods. It is just kind of pricey to me. I end up here when it is last minute or I cannot go to far because they are super close. I had great service today.

My kids and I come here a lot and the staff is pretty nice. Last week they shined! My daughter and I went in to get a few things, when out of no where my daughter got sick. One staff member went and got a trash can and the manager ran to get paper towels. Then he asked if she needed water and said it was on him. They insisted to clean everything up. Bless their hearts. We grabbed a few items and then there was a long line at the registers. The manager seen us and opened up the self check out. The kindness of the staff taking care of us was outstanding!
