Looking for a place to work? Don't look here, it'll save you the trouble. My experience working here, it's a very toxic environment. There always has to be some petty drama to deal with especially with a specific manager, either you or someone else is getting talked about. Low pay, no benefits AT ALL, after over a year of working there I got only a 25 cent raise. Very unprofessional management, specifically one woman there that acts very immature and you can't hold an adult conversation, you try to communicate to get your schedule fair she says you "whine". She sits there on her phone a lot blasting awful music on top of the music playing in the store, sometimes being inappropriate and dancing with another cashier and flirting with the meat guy, it's uncomfortable..the place is a mess. The food, mostly the meat always has issues with it, customers constantly bringing it back because it's either out of date or absolutely stinks, the meat guy doesn't care that much about checking over it and making sure everything is in date. They're just very negative and careless. You can work your tail off there and you won't get noticed. There's better places to work, trust me on this. I do not recommend working for this piggly wiggly.

Lots of out of date groceries. WATCH what you buy here. We've gotten rotten milk, rotten chicken, even frozen pizza MONTHS past its date. The deli is pretty good home cooking kind of stuff. Decent selection of most other groceries for a smaller store. Just watch out for the stuff in cold storage!

Piggly Wiggly has been a staple in Southern communities for over a century, and it continues to win hearts with its unique charm and local flavor. Especially the "Pig" in Charleston, TN. This is my favorite grocery store.At Piggly Wiggly, you’re not just a customer; you’re part of the family. The staff greets you with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, their friendly demeanor makes every visit pleasant.The deli at Piggly Wiggly is a hidden gem. Their breakfast and lunch offerings are nothing short of amazing. They have chicken tenders, beans, cornbread ... and meatloaf. I am a huge fan of the meatloaf. Oh ... Wednesday nights, they grill steaks. Go check them out.

Loved this little store. The deli was just what we needed at a price that didn't kill the wallet. The girls in the deli were super helpful and worked hard to help us. We appreciated everything about this location and are thankful for them. Next time we are in town we will absolutely come back for all of our vacation needs. The store was small but that is normal for a community based grocery. It was well stocked and had a small deli with food cooked on premisipremises. Food looked fresh and pleasing to the eye. Store was clean and people were friendly. Produce and meat section was outstanding! We were surprised how competitive meat prices were. Parking was plentiful. I took a bathroom break while there and they were clean and smelled fresh. Highly recommend this store.

Super nice people. I was very sick and they already had the same bug. So they told me what helped them. I got food from the deli and went home. I felt better in 2 days.

First off my mom just went in today and got 6 pieces of fish and mind you that's 10 dollars already, the guy working today tried to give her broken pieces, let alone did not put tartar sauce or any hush puppies in the bag. Ill make sure to go to the one in Etowah instead

Management is horrible!!! Don’t just walk away from working for this company…. Freaking run!!!!! Management will say you can or can’t do a certain thing but then they do it themselves. They’re a bunch of hypocrites!! It’s an extremely hostile work environment! Pay isn’t even worth putting up with it. You can make more at McDonalds. A lot more people.Now as for their products… everything is cheaper at the dollar store and that’s right down the road. Most things are out of date and every time I buy meat from there, it always has to be returned the same day because when I open the package, the rotting smell is so strong it makes me gag to the point of throwing up.This piggly wiggly is not there for the customers (community) nor its employees. Spend your money at a store that respects both.

Great hometown grocery. They dont always have the options that larger stores have, especially of the international variety, but the prices are fair and the people are super friendly. The deli food is pretty good as well! If want want something hot and cooked for lunch and on your way home with limited time, stop and grab a plate.

It's a smaller store but way friendly people. I got a meat and two vegetable plate from the bar. It was superb. The worker Antoine, was very nice and helpful. Thanks Antoine 😉

Had to drop in to pick up something while traveling to visit family in Riceville. It's an easy in and out, friendly service, about what you'd expect from PW's. If you need a wider selection of items, though, drive 15 minutes further into Cleveland and go to one of the major chain grocery stores there. In a pinch though, if passing through town, they've got most of what you'd need--but maybe not precisely in terms of brand, size, or specific type, (i.e. liquid or tab, pill or liquid, etc.)

They have a meat dept which is cool but the prices are higher than other places and it always has a dangerously conservative vibe. At the height of the pandemic they weren't wearing masks or taking any precautions that I could see so I hadn't been back since then until today. It feels sad and a bit dirty but the employees do try hard and the bagger even asked if I needed him to take out my groceries for me. For some people, the country vibes are a plus so I'll that to you to decide.

I love the pigs. Great staff and just a down to earth country store that does have good and fair prices to be in the area of the only real grocery store here in Charleston, TN. I live like next door to the piggy wiggly. So it's so dependable and the hours they open to closed is a plus. 8am-10pm.

The only reason this store is still open is because it leeches off the community it claims to serve. Food is sub par and usually rotten. The prices are insanely high and the wages leave all of the workers stuck in poverty. Guarantee this place would not pass a health inspection.

Great deli to grab some lunch... Fried chicken, Salisbury steak, pork chops, spaghetti, fried catfish and hush puppies, meatloaf, and so much more... Wednesday is one of my favorites it's when Salisbury steak is on the menu... Mmmmmm... Mmmmmm...
