Every time I come into town to play golf at Henry Horton State Park I stop into Brooks to get the best chicken salad and smoked wings, brisket, produce, and meats. I live in Murfreesboro and wish we had this store local it’s so much better than anything we have! Staff is always so friendly asking if there is anything I need. Thank you

Great selection for a small town. Friendly and seem to employ ample staff. Prices are on the high side but they stock quality over value items. Keep it up.

I shop at Brooks pretty much every day. The employees are always so kind and helpful. I cook often and Brooks has become my favorite place to get the freshest ingredients. I don’t shop anywhere else to be honest. The products in the deli are so good. I love the potato and macaroni salads. Anything with a Brooks label on it is guaranteed to be a good meal. Their canned section is a hidden gem in there, so be sure to visit that section when you go. I also love the fact that everything is priced perfectly. I get a whole salad that makes 2 meals for $4?!?! Can’t beat that. I get a salad from there pretty much every time I’m in there. Speaking of vegetables… their produce is fresh and I basically live in that area when getting ingredients for my next meal. I will always shop at Brooks!

I have been in Chapel Hill for 15 years and I love Brook’s and when it was Rex’s ❤️. I find everything I need and staff has always been amazing and friendly 😊. I will shop at a store that puts their employees first. I know last week they made sure their employees got home safely 🤗. There whole selection of everything you need is wonderful! I have developed a friendship with several of the employees from Rex’s who stayed when Brook’s took over that is how long I have been shopping there 😁. Employees and management keep up the great work you are appreciated ❤️🙌. I know people who drive from other counties just to get their meat 🥩 😁

This store sucks! They have severe inventory issues. If they spent as much time with keeping up with stock as they do on their deli, they would be alright. Deli is actually really good. The problem I have is when I go to buy fresh asparagus and there is none, just to find they wrapped it in bacon and put their label on it. And that example applies to many things in the store. There are a lot of empty spaces on the shelves. If I could take a picture of the bread area and post it I would. Personally I feel the store is just too small to keep up with the growth in Chapel Hill. Time to bring in Krogers or something like it.

Time to shut this place down!!! Absolutely not a quality establishment and I’m more than happy to drive to Murfreesboro or Spring Hill for my groceries rather then the 1.6 miles to this nasty placeThe deli is garbage! ONLY the smoked meat is edible (kudos to the guy who does that because it’s actually great but not great enough to offset the rest of the place)… WORST potato salad, macaroni salad, beans, you name it… if it’s a side with a “brooks” label on it… it’s going to be gross and flavorless… and these people are PROUD of that trash?!?!?! Really?????The prices are disrespectfully high (chapel hill is not that far out of the way anymore) and the inventory is inconsistent at bestThe produce is a whole other level of disrespect to the community! Like rotten, out of date veggies?? Come on down! Wilted lettuce makes a better salad anyway, right?! And squishy grapes make everyone so happy!!Like paying extra for whatever was left on the produce truck?? BROOKS is the place!!Not to mention they want to be the only grocery store in town, but close earlier than every other business when it snows?There were about a dozen employees standing at the door laughing as they excitedly told people “we close at 4 today!” When their parking lot has been salted and plowed and the roads are clear!If the poor quality at outrageous prices aren’t enough to encourage you to shop elsewhere… the snotty little managers will absolutely seal the deal if you ever have to talk to one.Chapel Hill homeowner with a family of 4 and approx $400-$600 in monthly groceries encouraging other locals to take your money somewhere else until this place goes under and we get a REAL grocery store down here

I live in Springhill and of course there is a grocery store 2 minutes from me but I still go to Brooks Grocery every couple months. It reminds me of my families’ independent grocery store. Brooks is the best. Be sure to try the bbq meats, and other made in-store items.

I stopped shopping at Brooks because they wanted $40 for a vegetable tray with only four veggies and a container of ranch. It wasn't very big.Perhaps I will go back to see what other items might be of better value. However, it seems that they are taking advantage of this small town. They are the only grocery store in Chapel Hill.If the customer service had been exemplary, I would definitely shop there more often! However, it was only ok, nice folks but none of the associates were actively helping customers. Eagleville Grocery has better prices and a gas station that has the least expensive gas between Triune and Cornersville.My commute is Eagleville to Cornersville every day.Also, Eagleville Grocery has a butcher on site, and the Kroger in Lewisburg has a six vegetable tray with ranch for $10.

This place is freakin awesome! Genuine TN Smoked meats liked pork butt, wings, thighs and home made Tortilla chips all at fair prices. If your not here shopping now, your really missing out big!!..this place is loaded with friendly service, and an extra side of family owned southern charm. I'll c u guys there ;)

I want to say how greatful I am for Chris and Carol Messick . And Chad ,Sarah , Cody , they helped me from 6:30 am to 8 am get all the food I needed for the Lions club party and the Forrest Volleyball Banquet this week .The packed my car and Cody came and helped me unload it !25 years they have went above and beyond customer service.

In life, you get what you pay for. This is true of Brooks. Clean. Friendly. Well staffed. Well stocked. It beats the corporate grocery stores by miles and miles. For me, that’s worth a few extra bucks.Everything we’ve had that’s come out of the smoker has been exceptional. Can’t say enough about the fresh offerings at the deli. My son buys a tray of sushi with every visit. Look for their “Made right here” sticker and you can’t go wrong.For those complaining about prices, Dollar General is down the road. For those who want a high quality store with high quality items, this place is a gem.

We feel really lucky to have a grocery store like this near us. They make so many dishes in house that we can do a mix and match of freshly prepared food or ingredients to make our own. Prices are a little higher than the chain stores but the service is above what you expect at those stores. Selection is limited being a small store but most of our favorites are there.

During a recent visit to Brooks Grocery, I was struck by the care and teamwork displayed by their staff. While in the checkout line, a man named Joseph casually inquired if I had found everything I needed. Realizing I had forgotten bread, I mentioned my oversight. Even before I could express my reluctance to leave the line, Joseph subtly signaled the bagger who walked over to listen. As I described the type of bread I was after, the bagger dashed off to retrieve it. Within moments, he was back, and they confirmed it was what I needed and quickly rang it up; afterwards he helped the bagger catch up, so not to delay others waiting.It's rare to witness such spontaneous teamwork and customer service these days. I was genuinely impressed by Brooks Grocery's customer ethics. And I let me add, I rarely take the time to leave a review, but I was so overwhelmed by this experience that I felt compelled. A big thank you to their dedicated team for going the extra mile.Wow Wow Wow.PLEASE COME TO COLUMBIA TN

We stayed at Henry Horton and stopped in to grab some food to make in our cabin. Luckily we sniffed out the most amazing smoked meats display and ended up going back with smoked ribs, wings, bologna and a pork chop. And some premade sides! It was fantastic. Everyone at the store was super friendly and we are literally depressed right now that we don’t have one in our town. Please visit this store!

Brooks is a hidden gem. They have way better produce and meat than the big chain stores. They are limited on selection of brands but they have most everything I needed. The pit bbq meat is really good thanks pit smoker crew! They have competitive prices to the big chain stores. I haven't met an employee that wasn't happy a super kind and helpful.

Great store, LOTS of fresh daily made foods, both hot and cold. Tons of fresh salads, sides, smoked ribs/pork/chicken/etc. Freshly made sushi, the guy is there probably every day making it fresh! Freshly baked breads and desserts. Love it!
