The lady was polite when talking on the phone to reserve the room. The gentleman at the desk was very accommodating and sensitive to details, making sure that the person renting the room had a great experience. The rooms were very clean. That that was comfortable and water was hot for the shower. Good pressure. Everyone at the motel Seem to really care about their business and the people they were serving.Noteworthy details: It’s worth staying there again.

we booked a reservation online paid and drove to this location, (our family lives in this area) needed a one night only, and in the past we have stayed here before.The manager is so greedy shady, he wouldn't honor our online reservation, he prefers cash of course, so I contacted Corporate and they quickly secured another location in Clinton for us.I don't recommend this location at all, kinda dirty with meth head look people hanging out.

I travel professionally and I had a wonderful experience here. The owner smiled and welcomed me as I walked in. The rooms were clean and all the amenities were functional.Walkability: Ubers are hard to come by and there’s not a bus route in town so, it’s wise to procure a personal vehicle.Food & drinks: The area is beautiful with a laundromat, Waffle House, and 24/hr gas station adjacent to the property.

Rude. The room was dirty. Two dead cockroaches on table. The floors had barely been swept let alone actually cleaned!! They only gave half of our deposit back because they said OUR CHILDREN WERE TOO LOUD. THEY CALLED THE LAW AT 3:00 AM AND SAID OUR CHILDREN WERE TOO LOUD. SERIOUSLY?Rooms: Dirty. The floors had barely been swept let alone mopped. There were two dead cockroaches on the table. Our shower mat was hanging on the balcony.

Im not giving this place any stars for the following reasons.Theres roaches everywhere, mold in the corner of the walls. Hasnt been properly swept & mopped. Stains on the beds, sheets, and blankets.Customer service sucked took us atleast 30 minutes to even get the woman behind the desk to understand exactly what we were saying. For the amount of the deposits u would think this place would atleast be clean. Me & my boyfriend were very disappointed. I wasnt even worried about checking the cleanlyness of the place until i seen roaches.

We were called on our cells about 6:00pm to ask us when we would be arriving . We happened to be eating our dinner in Caryville at time! After our arrival we went to our room which was musty smelling and barely clean. I went to the office for extra coffee to find it dark and locked. No answer. We did not feel especially safe. They do not serve breakfast. Will not be staying there againRooms: Many empty and full? of stuff. Not for guests.Nearby activities: A beautiful Park not far from there. Wonder if they have cabins..Food & drinks: Coffee in room..Noteworthy details: Needs to be renovated..

Booked my room. Paid for my room. When I got to the hotel they said I needed to re-pay my room because the money was never collected yet I have a receipt saying it was prepaid for when I booked it. Man at the desk was extremely rude and unprofessional. Lobby was locked and he got frustrated when I couldn’t get into the lobby because of it meaning he had to get up. Red Roof Inn Corporate was no help. There was a cockroach crawling on the wall by all the tourist info. I left and went to a hotel down the road after the frustration. Red roof inn PROCEEDED to attempt and charge my card even without me staying there.

Absolutely loved staying here. The outside does look older but the inside is very very clean. I stayed here for 2 months as a travel nurse and have stayed in many hotels. This one was so cozy and comfy especially when it rained. The owners were extremely sweet and always accommodating. Cove lake state park is less then 5 minutes away and it is gorgeous. Me and my little dog loved everything about Caryville, TN. As a travel nurse by myself I never felt unsafe here. I never had any issues with pests either. The store right across the street has great BBQ too! I would definitely stay here again if needed.

I read the reviews before I stayed here. I have to say, I didn't see any of the negative stuff I read. The property was clean and neat on the outside. There are small stores close by, which was really convenient. A beautiful park called Cove Lake Park 2 minutes away with a waterfall hike called Devil's Racetrack that was absolutely stunning. The staff went above and beyond of any place I've stayed, especially for the modest price of our room. We were hours late, he waited for us. Brought us bottled water for our fridge in case we didn't have any for our dog as it was too late to go get anything. Our room was cleaned daily and done well. We felt safe. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Horrible other than location! Room smelled like smoke. Had to go to front lobby to get ice cause machine was broke. They got the ice from ice trays!!!? Card to unlock door didnt want to work, hard to open door. Listed online that they had continental breakfast served in mornings. They DO NOT have a breakfast of any kind. When I complained, manager said it wasn't their fault they had told the online advertisers, they just didn't correct the ad. Bad experience!!Noteworthy details: They provide nothing more than a bed to sleep in.

UPDATE: Immediately after posting- the staff at Red Roof Inn contacted us to apologize and refund us our military discount. They thanked us for the review and said they will use it to ensure something like this doesn’t happen again. Thank you Red Roof for being proactive in fixing issues!Original Post: We have stayed at this location multiple times in the past and have never received such terrible customer service or such unsanitary rooms. Upon arrival, it took 45 minutes to check us in because both me and my sister in law who was staying in another room were told we didn’t check the box for a pet room. We both did, and had proof. We were then told they didn’t have a room for us because of that. We had booked this room weeks in advance. Finally, they got us a pet friendly room which smelled of cigarettes (was supposed to be a nonsmoking room) and urine. I refused to stay in that room as I am pregnant and it is not safe to do so. Finally, we were placed in another room. Still not perfectly clean, but it didn’t smell as bad because it had wood floors. The woman at the front desk refused to give us our military discount and said “it’s only 5 dollars” but it is actually much more than that as my sister in law is also military and it saved her over $20 for the stay. There is a torn down building next door and nails/wood exc. in the parking lots making us worried we would pop a tire or hurt ourselves or our pup. The “dog yard” was so disgusting and full of feces that we drove our pup to the lake nearby just to let him use the restroom. After years of staying here when traveling to Norris, we are extremely dissatisfied and will never be staying here again.

Clean.I felt 100% safe as a solo female traveler. The price was great. It definitely isn't a Hilton but it didn't cost as much as a Hilton either. Actually about 1/2 price of surrounding hotels when booked online. Guess what, I slept just as well as I would have at a more expensive hotel, took a hot shower and left knowing I had a little extra cash in my pocket now.. white coverlet on bed.

Check in was good but once we got in our room it was scary. There was dried up blood on the floor in room 119 over by the bed by the bathroom. We seen at least 6-7 roaches and we literally slept with all lights on and on top of the blankets because we were obviously not comfortable. The ceiling is disgusting we would never stay here again

When we pulled up to this motel after a 10 hour day of driving ,we were presently surprised with its location and its modern office room. The front desk lady was so friendly, and showed us great southern hospitality. We got the king bed premium room for $63 a night. I am normally very picky about where we stay, but I have to stay that our room was very clean and more than acceptable for the price we paid. It was pretty modern, and most importantly clean. If you are looking for a place to stop, relax a bit and stay the night after a long day of driving, look no further. Everything else down the road will cost you $99+.Thanks for the great stay!!

The room was super clean, the guy at the front desk was very friendly. The only issue I had was on night 2 of my 3 day stay. I turned the light on in the bathroom area to find approximately 5-6 roaches crawling around near my tooth brush.

I booked non smoking room. When I came in to the room, it was stinky, lake it was a party at night before.I was extremely tired that day, just went to the bed.But smell didn't give me a chance to have good sleep. And the other problem was,room was cold but heater worked almost non stop. In the morning I found the gap between floor and door. What else I wanna to say,all facilities are old,matress uncomfortable.Only positive moment I found-clean bedding. Never will stay again.

The good:Room was clean. It was quiet throughout the night.The bad:We saw one rate offered online but were told that rate wasn't available. Had to bicker the price down with AAA card and the fact that I could go elsewhere easily.Door was not sealed and we had the heat on 87 all night just to keep the room at a constant cool temp. Bathroom is small and has no independent heat source. Really need to leave the door open to warm it up. Bed was ok. Pillows...why are hotels making them so tiny now??Just makes you need to use them from both beds.Breakfast was a joke. So not saving any money there. Didn't see any bed bugs but it probably was too cold for anything to survive in the rooms any how.

Very upsetting... my boyfriend & I had been driving all day & stopped here to sleep. They couldn’t find our reservation at first so that took 30 minutes to sort out. They asked smoking or non-smoking, we said non-smoking. Get to our room & it reeks of cigarettes. There was a used washcloth in the shower. In the morning when I told the staff about the room smelling like cigarettes, he apologized & said that perhaps the customers that had that room earlier smoked in it. Do they really not have separate smoking & non-smoking rooms?? Cheap price so keep in mind that you get what you pay for.

REFUND ME NOW, this hotel is a scam. Most awful and sketchiest staff ever! They tried to downgrade my bed to a small twin, moved me to a different room when the keys to the second room didn’t work, charged me extra to upgrade to a room with a queen bed and then there was no hot water!!! The front desk staff is rude and unprofessional. This is completely ridiculous to be charged full price after spending most of the night waiting for the front desk staff to FIX THIS AWFULNESS.
