Wow! What an amazing treasure in Camden TN! My husband and I celebrated a slightly late 31st wedding anniversary at Birdsong Museum. Hearing the history of how this freshwater pearl lake came to be and getting to view some of the local treasures made for a perfect weekend. Diver John spent hours taking with my husband and Susan was so kind and compassionate. Highly recommend you take a few hours and enjoy! We will be back for a tour and a camping experience very soon!!

This place and these people are awesome that own, run,and take care of this place. Working at a TVA and they helped me find an absolutely amazing place that fit my situation perfectly. Bent over backwards to make the place everything I needed. I highly recommend anyone needing a place to stay that's working in the area, to contact these good people. They are the best on the road place I've found. Highly recommend and can't say enough good things about it.

We rented a pontoon boat for the day. The rental experience was easy. The boat was clean and comfortable, in good working order, and was ready for us when we arrived. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The weather happened to be spectacular that day. We had a FANTASTIC experience, and will definitely be going again, and would recommend anyone else do so as well.

Septic's overflow so there's s*** water and TP on the ground, big dogs let out of rv's to run around without their owner, 15psi water pressure and The owner of the rv park was very rude towards my wife. I definitely wouldn't stay there again.

I’m one of the high school boat captains and called to get an appointment for a lower unit oil change. I showed up at my appointment time and they backed me in and changed it in no time. The staff is super friendly and I enjoyed the conversations.Noteworthy details: Bob takes time to answer any questions and explain in detail.

Wonderful people...Bob the owner and Rick AND crew could not have been friendlier or more accommodating from meeting us at dock to free laundry and free courtesy cars.Bob's presentation of the Pearl Museum and his knowledge of local history made for an educational experience that was most impressive. Viewing this country from the backside of its towns and cities is what I find memorable and This Marina did not disappoint. There was nothing "touristy" about the location which I found refreshing. A slice of the real America. Thank you Bob Rick and Crew. ....only thing missing was a fenced in dog run where my Luna could run off leash...Carolyn wasik-petersen

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit with you. We followed Bob's suggestions to visit NB Forrest Park, the view and wildlife center were great! We went to the Eiffel Tower, and really enjoyed the Pearl Museum tour! The Unit was perfect, thanks so much for it. The next time we come I'll leave my mom (Alzheimer's) home and bring my husband and the rest of the grandkids!Again Thanks so muchClaudie Parson

To start, Gray tanks from other campers are allowed to be left open to drain into the streets.!!! (We did not do that with ours) So walking dogs is a nightmare. Sewage steadily backing into the street. (see video and pictures). Can’t even walk out of the front door without seeing puddles of liquid and a steady stream of camper gray AND black tank water runoff. I actually thought this was illegal but I’m not a lawyer. So I won’t get into that. That is health departments call. Either way I got sick of it being tracked into my vehicles and camper every day. The sewer hookup is at the very back of the camper and too high up so you have to walk your lines down or risk getting sewer water up your gray tank hose. the slots are sloped towards the street/water run off. So we needed extra wood and to chalk the tires to make sure our camper wouldn’t roll. Good advice for any future campers here. They pumped the tank at the trailer next to me everyday for our entire month and a half long stay every morning due to some more water issues. One day we lost water for a day and they told me something was being fixed at main well. Every since then our Water pressure was wavering between 5 and 20 and after they looked at it they did nothing to fix it. So it remained like that until we left.Sewage never stopped backing up and overflowing out of a pipe in the ground beside my camper.Power surged multiple times so MAKE SURE you have a surge protector if you stay here.No ice at ice maker at dock.ATM does not work.Dogs run around off leash even though in their rules they say they are supposed to be leashed. One day I couldn’t even check for a package because dogs were running around my car barking at me at the front office. No response when i let them know. The same 5’ by 2’ pile of leaves that were behind and beside my camper stayed there the entire time even though at the beginning they were supposed to clear them out.The ladies in the office are nice but the owner is not so much. I overheard him yelling at one of the women while she was on the phone with me.I definitely did not think he was reasonable or accommodating to me when we did talk. Very passive aggressive. Told me if i didn’t stay for the whole month I already paid for up front cash that he would charge me $60 a day instead, which he obviously can’t do. I kept my receipts just incase because I have heard of him swindling people out of money from locals and other workers at the job sites here. These are uninhabitable camp slots. I could tell he was getting aggravated with me and the way he spoke to me was enough for me to just cut my losses and leave the rest of my months payment behind. 2 weeks to be exact.I heard nothing but bad things since we got to town but gave it a chance considering we do this yearly for a living; moving camp ground to campground and we understand things happen and maintenance is some times required. This experience was absolutely inexcusable all around. No side or back yard. Any bit of yard (grass patch) you may have is submerged in gray and black tank water no matter how sunny or dry it is outside. Frozen toilet paper was half dissolved and ran all over our camp spot the day we left when it started getting cold.Campers are right on top of eachother. We moved over to a nearby campground. There are plenty of nice ones in the area. Sportsmans rest, pilot knob, eva campground. My husband posted a review on the birdsong page like i am now, and even though they knew he was with me and my name was on the lot, they tried to say he was making a review about the wrong camp ground. I will be adding the address, pictures, and videos to this review.Address:255 Marina Rd, Camden, TN 38320Lot 47 facing the water.

I’ve been vacationing here for nearly 30 years and this time was as amazing as the first time I came. It’s always peaceful and relaxing. The cabins are always very well kept and clean. The owners as well as the staff go over and beyond making sure your stay is perfect. If you are looking for a nice peaceful vacation I recommend stopping in.

We traveled down Kentucky Lake from Green Turtle Bay Marina and decided to spend the night at this marina. They were waiting for us and helped get our boat tied up, which was helpful after a very hot 81 miles! We met the owners, Bob and Judy, and couldn’t have met a nicer couple. They have tons of interesting stories and history surrounding this marina. Very friendly. Also a few things that you can’t miss seeing around the marina and should ask them about :)Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone traveling through and would highly suggest at least saying hi to both of them. Also a very quiet location with amazing sunsets!

We've been here a week in our motorcoach and loved it. The sunsets are amazing, just as Bob said before checking in. Bob and Judy, owners, allowed me to go on their pontoon boat and observe how the fresh water pearls are grown, harvested and then sold. It's the ONLY fresh water pearl farm in North America and it's on the Kentucky Lake in Tennessee, just 9 miles north of I-40. Bob had two viedeorgraphers filming Bob's legacy, he's been here since 1961. Be sure to visit the museum, store and take a tour if available.Of course, we'll return.Noteworthy details: Level sites and full hook-ups.The office staff is friendly, helpful and try to meet your needs. Michelle was awesome.

We stayed last night, it is a little drive from the main hwy, about 9 miles. Bob the owner goes above and beyond to accommodate. We were in our motorhome and we needed to take my grandson into a local clinic. They even had a loaner vehicle! When my son in law went to get it they had it running and the air on! The park was clean, concrete slabs for parking with full hook ups. I didn't go to the restrooms but my family said they were clean but only 1 shower. We would definitely stay here again.

We’re here for our 5th Anniversary. The place is Amazing 🤩. Michelle (amazing at everything she does) is very accommodating, making sure everything is just right. We had a visit from Bob and Julie who introduced us to the resident dog name “Fish Fry “. He hung out in our cabin while we had a slight rain. Very cute! Quiet, relaxing and clean. Recommend…10 stars ⭐️Walkability: All rental cabins are handicap accessible.

As I sit on the screened in porch of my cabin listening to nature, I love the idea of this resort. Bob and Judy welcome you like you're family. All the staff are very accommodating. The cabins come equipped with tv full kitchen tho include housewares. Great views are within walking distance in any direction! The community is a mix of full time campers as well as those passing through. Very Union friendly. Not only do I recommend this property but will be back everytime I'm in the area working. Thank you to the entire staff of Birdsong marina and resort. You all are a class above!!!Justus PeaseRooms: Many cabins and RV hookup sites. As well as tent(primitive) camping.Nearby activities: Located directly on lake Kentucky, there is boat rental as well as an in ground pool. Pearl museum and free laundry machines. Pet friendly and very accommodating to the camper!Noteworthy details: The property was very welcoming to my service animal!!

We moved and were needing a place to land for a few months. This was a perfect place for us. We are a family of five (plus two dogs). So you can imagine how our family looked staying in a camper- with two adults, three kids, and standard sized two dogs.It was a bit much with that many people in a camper BUT the campground and scenery were exactly what we needed! The views, docks, beach, and small trail to the long dock near the bridge were very nice! To walk outside and see nature at its finest made us feel a bit spoiled. We stayed from January-March. I think it’s more their off season. It was very quiet and peaceful. If felt like we had the whole resort to ourselves. Some of the highlights:*The monthly rates were highly competitive! Their rates were almost half the cost of the other campgrounds within an hour radius.*Their laundromat is free! It’s included in your rent. Two washers and two dryers. (Tip: I found it best for us to do our clothes in the morning. Most of the other renters there work during the day and do their clothes in the afternoon.)*You can get your mail sent there while staying there. The secretary will give you the address. It would come to the main office front porch. I’ve had big packages there and no one ever messed with our stuff. The renters and staff seemed like just honest and good people.*The customer service is top notch! The secretary lady was really nice and easy to get in touch with. She was very helpful and kind. If you called and she was out of the office, Mr. Bob picked up. He’s very informative. He is also a Christian and tried to be helpful any way he can be.

Everyone around is nice, honest people. I would recommend this place just because of the permanent residents alone.

I spent the last 8 months living here in a 5th wheel for work. The park would be great if staff had the initiative to maintain standard upkeep. The grass is normally knee high, absolutely no one abides by leash law. I had 3 small yorkies that never came outside on a leash due to loose dogs everywhere. There was water continuously running past our RV and we returned from vacation to find that staff had rerouted the hose for water leak thru our lot and our RV tires were setting in a steady stream of water. The park had continued electrical issues with power surges causing everything in RV to shut off and come back on… we had to plug our neighbor into one of our power poles (we rented double lots for space) because the electrical issues was causing his power management system to completely fail. The last two weeks we spent there sewage was spewing from the ground during 4th of July festival which was a nice aroma. The sad part is this could be a beautiful park; but, it seems to be that no one cares

Birdsong Marina was a fantastic stay for us. The entire staff was fantastic. We loved the pearl farm exhibit and BBQ. We even picked up a beautiful pearl necklace. They let us have access to the community center to watch NFL football on Sunday and they let us use a wonderful loaner car to go into Camden Tennessee. Everything about the experience and the personnel was great. I highly recommend this place !

My wife and I decided to get a cabin at Birdsong for the weekend to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary. Pearls are a theme for 12th anniversaries so this worked out nicely. Our cabin was very clean and probably slept about 7 or 8 people. It was much larger than what we needed but our cabin had a hot tub and also had an electric fireplace. The cabins are also pet friendly but the pet fee is a bit high I think ($20 per pet, per night) but still cheaper than boarding. The area is very scenic and great quick getaway that's only about 1.5 hours from Nashville. We also enjoyed learning about the fresh water pearl fam onsite and picked up a few pieces in the gift shop. The only thing I did not care for in our cabin was the lack of sitting areas inside. The cabin we rented is basically a tiny house with a loft and most of the space is devoted the sleeping areas. I would recommend you bring your own food to cook. Our cabin had a full kitchen and most restaurants were a good 20 to 30 minutes away although I think they have food onsite in the summer months. We plan to go back in the summer and rent a pontoon boat during our stay.

I was traveling and needed a place to stop for the night and I didn't want to stay in a hotel. Called 5 minutes before I got there nd Bob told me to come on in. It was great to get a camp site at very short notice!! My site was very close to the lake. It was quiet even though there were up to ten RV's parked near the marina. RV pads have water, electric, and sewer hookups. Clean restrooms and shower as well!! I will definitely be back here.

I loved visiting Birdsong and our family will be back. I was greeted by the owners and they are very nice and helpful. I felt at home and most of all relaxed! Thank y'all for all the hard work you have put into it!

Quiet, pretty sunsets, 3 pull through sites are fairly level. Most back ends are not. $7 per pet with no dog park or bags available was unacceptable. We didn't visit the pearl museum. Strange old barge(steam ship? ) was cool.

Bob and Judy, and all of birdsong residents... We are traveling workers always on the road. Thank you sincerely for the greatest past few months we could have ever had on a lake. Every one at birdsong was amazing and went out of their way if we needed anything any at and treated us as bird song family. We will be back , would love to purchase a stationary unit if ever possible. I can honestly say though ..if you like a 5star Marriott, this is not the place for you. If you like outdoorsy fun in the sun on a lake , not afraid to get a little dirty and grubby while playing outside this is you're spot ... Thank you so much birdsong love D and JG
