I walked into this place thinking it was actually a trading post looking for some rain gear. It is a trading post of sorts with some small items for camping, fresh food and canned food and such. There's also a little diner in the back so I decided to have some lunch. I got the bacon double cheeseburger and fries, the bacon double cheeseburger comes in two sizes and I chose to get the small. I was actually quite delighted that it came out grilled with some slightly crispy edges which is really hard to find in a burger these days. The sandwich was good, the fries were donewell, my waitress was fantastic. They did sell some locally made items, the goat's milk Soaps look and smelled great. I haven't gotten to try it yet as I'm traveling but I'm sure it will be delightful.

We always get food from here. It's 10 minutes down the road. This time I ordered food online. We ordered at 4:14pm the order said it would need to be picked up at 4:59pm. We got their at 5:10 and the food still wasn't ready.. 3-4 people came in after me and I was the last one to leave. The personal pizza tasted wonderful as it always does, but they gave me breadstick with cheese ontop and called them cheese sticks.. Not what I would really consider cheese sticks. They didn't even give me sauce and it said it came with it. I also got 3 plain hotdogs, for my kids and they wouldn't eat them. Wound up just making them food. Won't be returning for a while. Hopefully they can improve the customer service atleast...

As a regular at Butler Trading Post, I feel compelled to share my experiences at this local treasure. Managed by Kenneth, an Air Force veteran, alongside his wife and their daughter Kali, this family-owned spot has become my favorite for breakfast, lunch and dinner in Butler. For breakfast, the biscuit sandwiches are absolutely spot on. These biscuits are a dream – fluffy, buttery, and light, they make the perfect base for a hearty and delicious sandwich. Whether it's a simple biscuit with butter or a fully loaded breakfast sandwich, each bite is a delightful experience. When lunchtime rolls around, my choice is invariably their bacon double cheeseburger. This burger is a work of art: juicy, perfectly seasoned, and with just the right amount of bacon to add a crunchy, smoky flavor. It's a satisfying meal that never disappoints. The onion rings here deserve a special mention too; they're crispy, golden, and the ideal side dish. And of course, the Italian Stallion pizza – a menu standout with its perfect crust and top-quality ingredients – is something that you absolutely must try. What truly sets Butler Trading Post apart is the atmosphere. Kenneth and his family make everyone feel welcome, creating a friendly and homely environment that complements their fantastic food.In summary, Butler Trading Post is a must-visit for anyone in Butler. Whether you're there for a breakfast biscuit sandwich or a bacon double cheeseburger for lunch, you're in for a treat. It's a place where great food and great people come together to create an unforgettable dining experience.

Waited 45 minutes for food, never actually got mine. The rest of the table was done eating while 4 of us sat there watching. They served another table while we were waiting. We finally just left. Service couldn't even be bothered to get us the drinks we ordered. Several items on the salad bar were obviously days old. Honestly, I wanted to like this place, but I would advise against eating here.

Best local pizza I've had. Wings are excellent too. Awesome variety of ice cream flavors. Can't wait to try more foods. Always prompt to fill my orders and food is super fresh.

In my opinion is extremely poor service and the food quality is below what most American people expect from a modern good clean American restaurant. And apparently the owner and the waitress had a problem with a disabled person whom had just got out of the hospital sitting down at a table waiting on there to go order. That's no way to treat disabled people I think that's against the law in this countryWheelchair accessibility: Improper wheelchair entrance under the American Disabilities Act front door closed and locked in the front so that wheelchair cannot get in. Definitely against the law the American Disability Act no parking lot parking

Excellent food. They need to advertise from the outside of the building better. We are not regulars to Butler and couldn't tell it was a full sit down restaurant from the outside. I think they would get more non local business if they made that clear. It looked like it was just a deli.

Pleasantly surprised. Rented a pontoon to ride around Watauga Lake. It was beautiful. Figured we would stop at Butler for lunch and found The Trading Post on Google. It had good reviews. We docked at a slip at the RV park and walked across the street. I was not very impressed when I walked in, but we decided to stay. My husband and I are from NY and our friends are from Europe. I couldn't imagine the pizza would be any good. Small personal pizza with 3 toppings and a drink for 5 dollars!! Let me tell you, the pizza was excellent. You could tell it was made from scratch and it was delicious!!! Thanks Trading Post for adding to our great day!!!

Great find on our trip. My wife and I were tired and hungry from a long drive. I wasn't expecting much, but the staff were all friendly and the pizza was great!I hate "cardboard" pizza that you find at truck stops and that's what i was expecting. We were very pleased that our pizza was hot, fresh, and prompt. This place even had a salad bar, something that you see far to few of these days. The best part was the food on the salad bar was fresh, the bar was clean, fully stocked with lots of goodies. It was delicious! My wife and I will make this a regular stop as we travel through Butler 3 to 5 times per year.

Hate to give them such a low rating because I really wanted the food to be good since it’s so close to my house. But, the pizza we ordered was terrible!!! I’ve had frozen pizzas that were way better than this. The crust was very tough and chewy. The sauce not great and toppings on the light side. I won’t get a pizza there again but I do want to try their salad bar. It’s small but looked very fresh and had some nice ingredients on it.
