I picked this place according to the good reviews. I took my Mastese puppy to trim his face. I showed the pic of the style I like and was told “ok, no problem”. Well, 5 mins later they brought my puppy back with a horribly shaved face. I mean his nose was shaved all the way to the skin. And not even even, but had bushes of fur. I cried all the way back home. I have been getting my dog groomed at Happy Retales in Brentwood for about a year. Trey is talented and kind and always makes me feel so comfortable leaving my pup with him! My dog always leaves looking amazing! Great communication, friendly staff, and reasonable prices.

This is my new favorite pet store! The prices were very reasonable, and their customer service is top notch! All of the staff members were so helpful and kind, and showered my puppy with so much love while we shopped. They have a great selection of treats, toys, food, and chews. I found a lot of unique items I had been looking for and unable to find at the other pet stores, and things I didn't know we needed!

Beyond amazing. I'm visiting the area for work. I always try to find a cool mom and pop type pet store when I travel to bring home some cool treats for my furry friend I might not find in my home area. The 2 people working when I went were so friendly and amazing. They spent a while chatting with me about my friend and offered some great tips about some treats. Wonderful experience. If I am back in this area again I'll be planning on stopping in again. Highly recommended for the people working there but they had quite a bunch of cool stuff! Worth stopping and checking out!

Knowledgeable and thoughtful. They listen and go above and beyond to get it right for your pet. Went to them years ago when I had a sick kitty and they found the purrrfect food for her and she lived happily for many more years. Now they helped me with my finicky Yorkie pup. Can’t recommend enough!

The workers are all volunteers and everything sold here goes to help fur babies. I will go out of my way past a Petco & Pet Smart simply based on how honest, helpful & their concept of giving their time due2 their love of pets & company giving profits to animal loving caring animal no kill shelters and other fur baby organizations.💕🐈🐅🐩💕🐱🐶🐮❤

We love this place. They have been a huge help with food options for our elderly Jack Russell mix. We are convinced our little girl is trying to starve herself and the peeps at Retales have been awesome with options for us to try. They are great and you should be giving them your pet supplies money instead of the big box stores. They genuinely care about the health of your dog or cat.

The way dogs pranced out of the store was so cute and a testament to how they felt after being groomed by Trey!! My 2-year-old Cavapoo, Winston, was groomed there for the first time and I'm simply IN LOVE!! Trey did an AWESOME job! I'd never been in love with his previous haircuts, so we began grooming him ourselves at home. That's NOT my gift, but it sure is Trey's!! I believe we've found our forever groomer.

Trey is a kind, patient and skilled groomer! I have a small, generally pretty anxious dog but she always seems relaxed and happy when I pick her up, which is very telling of how well Trey treats the dogs while they’re in his care. Even after moving away from that immediate area, I still make it a point to take my dog here because I know she will be well taken care of. The storefront is also well curated. As with any smaller shop you’re not necessarily going to find everything here, but what is there is high quality. And they carry cute stuff during the holidays if you need gifts for dog lovers in your life! :)

We love Trey and Happy Retales! We have been going to Trey for about 1 1/2 years, and he is so good with our dog. He does a great job with a full cut and keeping him trimmed up and clean in between full cuts. Our dog is always excited to go and looks great when we pick him up. He is never scared or nervous about going to get groomed. We are very happy with Trey! Everyone in there is so helpful, friendly and loving to our dog. We highly recommend Trey and Happy Retales!

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! After several bad experiences having our two Great Pyrenees groomed we found Trey and could not be happier. Not only has he been incredible with our big dogs he was also able to bathe the unbathable…our severely abused rescue. We had given up hope of her ever being bathed until Trey worked his magic.You can tell a lot about the person or persons that care for your pets when they refer to them as “your babies” and treat them as part of their own family. Trey is professional, easy to communicate with, caring, takes his time to make sure your pets are happy and safe, a magician of a groomer, and most of all a great person who loves animals.Hands down the best groomer in town!!

His care and concern for his furry clients is equally balanced by his flair and innate talent to artistically bring out the best features in each of his four footed customers.I know all of this to be true as Trey has continually worked his magic on our wiggly and oversized puppy, Charlie Brown - who can easily be challenging!I am always amazed and thrilled by Trey’s insight and creative skills.However, most of all, I appreciate Trey’s dedication and work ethic which always shows up in his over abundance of kindness, patience and compassion for all! Excellent customer service!! Very knowledgeable in so many things beyond just pet nutrition. They treated my puppy like a princess the whole time we were there (totally spoiled her) giving me so much more time to explore. There is an awesome selection of gifts for pet parents too. WOW!!! BEST grooming experience EVER!!!!! Trey is AMAZING!!!We have the joy of sharing life with a 120+ lb St. Berdoodle...he's a beloved member or our family!! The past several times at his previous groomer, he would return home stressed and anxious. We were on the hunt for a new groomer and Sarah, at Pet Village (also WONDERFUL) recommended Trey. Our pup was in dire need of a bath and nail trim and Trey got us in within a week of calling! Trey was great to deal with on the phone...super kind and helpful!Since our pup is sooooooo BIG...lots of people get overwhelmed by his size...not Trey, he greeted our pup with gentle kindness!! After spending the day with Trey, our Baby came home to us peaceful, happy and looking handsome...what's most important, he was kind and loving to our Pup.!! We're so grateful to have Trey as our groomer...we can't recommend him highly enough!!!!

Today I took my dog to be groomed for the first time. Trey is the groomer. He was very nice and by talking to him, he seemed knowledgeable....Boy was I wrong! He used a thinning shear on my dogs hair causing it to be completely uneven. My dogs legs were chopped up with a thinning shear as well. Didn’t shave her body at all, judging by the length of hair left on her neck. Trey also trimmed my dogs tail., uneven and to make matters worse. He tried to put a top knot in her hair, but he cut it so short and uneven that is just looks stupid. So now I have to wait at least 2 months(praying) for it to grow out so that I can start all over with her grooming...BEWARE!!

I took my Coton puppy to Trey @ Happy Retales after a horrible experience at Pet Smart. I was referred to Trey by several friends. He is excellent with dogs of all ages but especially puppies that have have had bad experiences and are scared to even get a bath. My Coton loves him dearly and goes to him without hesitation. I would recommend him to anyone. He is the best!. Also their prices for grooming are very competitive and well worth the comfort I feel leaving her with him.Andrea S.

Trey is amazing. My Aussie (a big boy) hasn’t had the greatest beginning but is an amazing dog. His past couple of grooming appointments have not gone well. A friend told me about Trey and she is so right. Our first meeting consisted of Maxx getting out of his harness and running across the parking lot. I was sure he was going to get hurt. Trey helped me get him back into my car and then just sat in my car with him and love on my big boy. After calming us both down Trey picked up my 70 pounder and lovingly carried him into the store. He texted me very quickly to let me know Maxx was good and was doing great. Maxx looked amazing when I picked him up but more importantly was not stressed out at all. I am so thankful to have found Trey and his loving heart that he has for our fur babies. He is defiantly the best!!!!

#1 reason to shop here - all profits go into local rescues!! Best place ever for dog food, treats and grooming! They only carry reputable quality products which I greatly appreciate. The groomers are first class and are the only ones that can trim my dogs nails without him freaking out. The prices here are average for the area so might as well help a good cause!
