Make sure is perfectly installed as they do not stand bu their work -

I am so happy with my new quartzite kitchen countertops from Mountain Empire Stoneworks, as well as all aspects from making a choice, getting measurements done, right through the installation process. I went in several times because I wasn’t sure just what to get and had a hard time choosing. Brian was extremely helpful and patient each time I went in looking and asking questions, as was Mark when Brian was in TN. The young man that came and measured for my new countertops was also patient as I watched and asked questions, as were the two young men that installed the countertops. The installers were very neat and didn’t even want to put anything into our trash cans, but put everything into a bucket and took it all with them. They were careful as they brought the countertops inside and they were cleaned up after caulking and before they sealed them. They even asked me to block our dog from the end of the porch so that when they had to trim a small portion off a backsplash, there would be no chance of him getting hit with anything that could fly from the saw. From when I made the final decision on what to get to the installation was only 2 1/2 weeks! I highly recommend Mountain Empire Stoneworks.

Absolutely the worst company as far as uncompleted low quality workmanship. To finish up everything they didn't do, it's costing us an additional $500.They leave a mess, no caulking at all, and Nikki at the office is only interested in collecting the money. She doesn't remember anything discussed.Definitely don't hire this company. Very disappointed with the whole experience.

Our experience with Mountain Empire Stoneworks was so positive from selection to installation. We toured the slabs with a sales agent who spoke to the pluses and minuses of the different materials. She offered design ideas and did not rush us at all while we debated our options and made our decision. Within a week the counters were laser measured. We were thrilled to hear that when the pieces are cut out of the slab they are laid out to capitalize on the granite design. A week later they were installed. The installers were knowledgeable, insightful, and very conscientious. The kitchen looks amazing. We couldn’t be happier. Thank you Mountain Empire Stoneworks for your professionalism from start to finish.

Mountain Empire Stoneworks recently installed a granite fireplace surround and hearth in my home. It is absolutely GORGEOUS!! They were very helpful in assisting me with the stone selection to fulfill my vision. They also very carefully designed the layout so the natural pattern of the stone was consistent and the seams are not obvious. Their installation team was very professional and courteous. Can't wait to hire them to do my kitchen!

My first impression was great. Josh answered all my questions, explained the hows & whys of various products so we could make an informed decision. We chose quartz and a very expensive sink. They were very timely; seemingly adapted to our desired 'template and installation' schedule. The young man creating the countertop templates was very knowledgeable, professional and personable... answered all my questions. One week (that's correct) later the installation team arrived right on time and got straight to work. As their colleagues did, answered all my questions, explained their technique. I was impressed. What did not impress me was what was mess left behind: Considerable particles from cutting the quartz on site, still visible in our porous brick sidewalk...that is three rainstorms later; all the styrofoam packaging and box that protected the sink during delivery. We were quite please with the new look after installation. Plumbers arrive the next day and are not able to connect the sink to the disposal. The sinks strainer flange was an incorrect diameter. I had to visit a local retailer to secure one that would fit while my plumber and his apprentice waited. Mt. Empire Stoneworks' reaction to my request for reimbursement for the flange ($32.30)and cost of the plumbers time has been nonexistent. Disappointing.

Really relaxed atmosphere and great selection. You actually can see all the slabs in the yard and Nikki was so friendly and gave us multiple quotes in just a few minutes. If samples are available, they even give you those to take with you! We drove over an hour to get here because we were told they had great prices, and this is absolutely true! A much larger kitchen we are doing this year is about the price of a small kitchen we did in the past (with a higher quality granite even!). Highly recommend!

Had quartz countertops installed yesterday. Wonderful customer service from Sabrina the salesperson to Cody who came and measured and the two guys (I'm so sorry, I didn't get the names) that came and installed. Everyone was kind and professional and the 2 guys that installed were meticulous with every detail. Also, hats off to the ones that cut the countertops....fit like a glove!

The Installation is horrible workmanship. They installed granite but absolutely no caulking leaving an unfinished job. We explained everything to company that this is our vacation home that we rent out, but it fell on deaf ears. We have to pay to get kitchen finished. Will never use this company again.

Love the counter tops. We got the steel grey granite. Loved them so much I added granite windowsills in the kitchen. It is a must to go with the counter tops. So far with redoing the kitchen the counter tops were a breeze, not so much with the rest of the kitchen. The installers were great. Josh took the time to walk us through all the choices for counter tops. wonderful service. When we are done with the kitchen I am going to do granite windowsills in the rest of the rooms. What a great touch to any room. The whole team - from sales, fabricators, to installers were committed to making sure the kitchen counters would match I wanted. The fabricator worked especially hard on leathering my harder than granite stone. Needless to say I am very satisfied with my beautiful quartzite counters and would highly recommend this company! Mike and the crew were very professional, making sure our cabinets were protected during the project. Mountain Empire did an amazing job on our kitchen, laundry room, and several bathrooms. Their selection is incomparable to any other granite store we visited. After looking at Lowe’s, granite stores in Knoxville, and all over Tri-cities, a friend recommended Mountain Empire Stoneworks. They have every unique design of granite and quartzite imaginable. Their prices were also the cheapest by far of any place we looked at. The customer service and friendliness will make you want to put granite and quartzite all over your house. We had in mind a particular design and color for new counter tops. Mountain Empire was the only store to have the exact design and color in quartzite we loved (Quite surprising after endlessly looking at so many places). We would recommend Mountain Empire Stoneworks to anyone and everyone looking to redo their counter tops. They are arguably the number one counter top providers in the this side of Tennessee.

Mountain Empire Stoneworks has a major quality problem. First attempt to install counter top failed because the top was 1/2 inch too long.It was torn out, refurbished, and prepared for installation. Problem was the unit was now 1/2 inch short.Was assured by company officials they could install so we would not see it and refused to correct their cutting error.There is now a 1/2 fill where the top meets the door jam that has been filled with epoxy and cannot be covered. This same 1/2 inch opening continues down the wall section (will be able to build out the wall to hide their error). Looks terrible and I’m very disappointed.You may want to go elsewhere for your stone.

Their quartz is beautiful and they were awesome to work with. I would definitely contract with them again. The quality of work was superior, their work was done at the time they had said it would be complete. I recommend that you check them out before going any other place for your countertops.
