I gave the two stars for the employees only, they're very nice. But this store is crazy expensive, higher than NJ so that's pretty bad for this area in TN.!

Has very limited product availability. No cold or hot bar. Food on display case in the deli (store made salads, desserts, etc) is not fresh looking and crusted over from not being mixed or covered with saran wrap. Food City is known for fresh nice looking fruits and vegetables but not this one! They Always look like they are day old and are priced equal to the ones you get at the other FC that have Great looking, fresh and good produce. All this could be because it seems as though it hasn't been renovated or updated since it was opened. A FEW employees are friendly and will help. Definitely a place you can get the bare necessities and a few odds and ends if you're not looking for much or you don't want to travel outside the city for another grocery store.

I stopped to get a snack & went to the deli for a chicken tender. When I asked for one tender, the woman sighed, I guess to indicate I was wasting her time. She moved a couple tenders with her tongs & selected a small tender with part of the breading missing. It was a tasty tender, but I probably won't return there for a snack in the future.

Food City grocery is my go-to for fresh produce and pantry staples. The prices are competitive, and the store is always well-organized. It's a reliable spot for all my grocery needs, and the friendly staff make each visit enjoyable. 🛒🥦🥖😊

Pharmacy was very rude and I had to have my MD call from home on Saturday to pick up my antibiotics. Which were called in on Friday. The girl at the counter acted like she could care less if I got them. And when I went back after my MD called the same girl didn't even say anything just wanted my DOB. She was not professional at all.

No help at self checkout. 3 employees walked by and ignored me. I asked one young person to help and was told he too busy. I was buying alcohol and the machine needed then to check my ID. I finally just left the groceries there in the buggy and left. Three service was the worst I've ever seen. Walmart has better service.

The bakery did a really nice job decorating our cake to match the plates and napkins. The employee attitudes at this location have been really good through this difficult time. I hope they're being paid appropriately.

They continue to remove any and all healthy options and replace with junk. For example, they recently removed all low sugar, sugar free & keto cereals in place of Little Debbie cereals and high sugar options. Same story with organic produce and organic grocery items. It is impossible to buy everything you need here unless health is not important.I left two stars because of poor selection, prices now higher than nearby competitors, and items on shelf are often expired. Staff is always friendly.

I ordered my sons birthday cake last week. They did not include a Minecraft kit, so we chose a star wars one, leaving a note that if they could make a Minecraft one then please do. I was so EXCITED when I picked up his cake, it was perfect!!! They exceeded my expectations, will definitely use them for all of our bakery needs. They are amazing! Overall the staff there is great and prices are good for all our household needs.

I moved to this area 1.5 years ago and I had never shopped at a Food City before then. It took some getting used to, but now that I know flyers come out on Wednesdays and that's where the bargains will be, I can plan accordingly. The Blountville Food City is very organized, the staff is helpful when you can get their attention, and the shelves are always stocked.

I stop by this store to use their ATM located at the main entrance.The machine was "out of order" its been this way for over two months! So, I called the store to report it, the customer service representative tells me there's nothing they can do about it and it's not their responsibility!This blew me away!!She then suggests that I contact the bank to resolve the issue!!I've been in the service industry for over 30 years and this stands out as the worst customer service I have ever experienced!!This store definitely needs a some major customer service retraining!

It's gone extremely downhill in the last few years. The 5 for $20 meat is one of the only popular things there, why not have a bigger display?? Also, self checkout attendants Hannah and Judy need an attitude adjustment. They're the absolute rudest employees of any business I've ever shopped at. The produce hasn't looked good in a while either, and when I asked who I think was the produce manager, she said, "Not my problem." So yeah, I think I'm going to take the extra 10 minutes to turn around and go to a different Food City from now on.

Always busy for the Bristol race because the store is fully stocked and staffed. If you’re looking for something for your tailgating, just ask because they’ll have it. Always clean, lots of ice and beer. And a huge Little Debbie selection!

The Real Deal

It's the only grocery store near me (Walmart is 8.5 miles away). So I go for quick needs for the convenience. Their prices are rediculously high, their selection is basic at best and their customer service is HORRENDOUS! I bought a 2 whole chickens from there 2 weeks ago. I went to cook one last night (01/27/23). After opening the plastic wrapping I noticed it was slimy. I went to exchange it for another chicken. The mngr on duty asked me for the receipt, which I did not keep, I don't normally return meats so no sense in me keeping the receipt. I told her I don't have it. She then asked if I was a Value Customer card holder, I said I'm not. Her response was, "well w/o a receipt or value card there's nothing I can do for you." I'm in the store often to pick-up quick things I need, so they know me. Been doing thus since 2018. This incident has cause them to loose a customer. All she had to do was, simply, swap the chicken out. This isn't my only customer service complaint. No one is ever at the customer service desk a you end up standing there for a while before someone does come. Then when they do, they have an attitude as if you are disturbing them.

No one helps you out with your groceries. Store has a pretty small bakery & deli. Doesn't really have much selection in these 2 departments. They didn't even have frozen ravioli or purdue precooked chicken.

I found the prices here way too expensive. I recommend a different store if you are trying to save money.It's a clean store and the produce and meat seemed okay.
