I really have no words about the sorry excuse for a Reuben sandwich I paid almost $10 for today. There was literally two thin pieces of corn beef wrapped around a fist-sized scoop of sauerkraut, no dressing, and the bread was too soggy to even hold in my hand. The picture pretty much says it all. Arby's has this place beat hands down. It's off the beaten path, so it was very disappointing to make a special trip and get this kind of food.

Love Swiss Pantry! Been visiting for years. They serve deli type sandwiches and soups for lunch as well as having a small but diverse array of fresh grocery items and their delightful baked goods and treats.It's my understanding this place was started by the Miller family, who have a Swiss and Mennonite background. The folks working at the Swiss Pantry have always been very pleasant and helpful across the span of my many, many visits. Today was no different. One of the younger employees welcomed us, answered our questions, and happily agreed to make us some lunch even though it was a little early (around 10:45).While we waited for our sandwiches to be made, we took our time perusing all the gorgeous and delectable goods for sale. I squished on some super delicious looking breads of all sorts of flavors (cheddar jalapeño, cinnamon raisin, sourdough, etc), took in the fresh cheeses and meats, and admired the shelves dedicated to baking supplies: all sorts of different flours, baking chocolate, toppings, and more. They also sell corn meal, pancake mix, and grits from the nearby Falls Mill - which you should check out if you're in the area. One cool thing I saw for the first time today was some dip mixes: small containers of different spices and seasonings with instructions to combine them into a delicious dip. Both sweet and savory options were available (eg dill, bacon ranch, lemon cheesecake, caramel apple). Really cool! Would love to try it sometime.I was trying to keep my lunch light so I just opted for a simple grilled cheese with chips and a can of soda. It was only a shade over $6, which is pretty good for lunch these days, especially when the bread was soooooo good. There was a ton of cheese on the sandwich and it melted to gooey perfection on slightly sour, perfectly chewy sourdough.This place is definitely worth a road trip if you're not from the area. Combine with a trip to Falls Mill for a lovely afternoon. :) My final tip: one of my favorite items here is their oatmeal cream pie / oatmeal whoopie pie. Two slightly soft, slightly crunchy, perfectly cinnamony oatmeal cookies around creamy, silky filling. Don't miss it!

Every other Saturday they make homemade donuts so we drove up from Huntsville for a taste. Nice location with a large parking area. You can order donuts ahead and they will be ready when you arrive. Lots of food selections and sandwiches to order. We tried the strawberry, maple and chocolate donuts and all were terrific. We will plan on lunch next time.

05/17/2021Old fashioned country store near the Mennonite community of Belvidere TN.  Fresh baked goods are available like breads, cakes, cookies, pies, fried pies and other sweet delicious goodies.  More than a bakery, they have made to order sandwiches.Every first (1st) and third (3rd) Saturday of the Month is Donut Saturday.  So I’ll be back with more pictures… stay tuned.

Date Nut cookies were a disappointment this season. They appeared to be over baked , being a darker brown in color.I should not have bought them but, they were all that was available. The next day they had hardened, having no moisurein them from being over baked.I will still be a customer...I just wanted to let you know.

This place has lots of great spices, candies, breads, coffees, meats, and sandwiches but the best things they have are pies and cakes! It was hard to choose between the strawberry pie and the pecan pie but the pecan pie won out! Wow was it delicious!

Love this little place! We always stop here to pick up a dessert and donuts when we have family coming to visit at Tim's Ford Lake. Their chocolate pie and blue berry crumble pie are our favorites! Highly recommended a visit if you have never been. Some Saturdays, they have a farmers market where you can bring kids for a bounce house morning.

Gosh, I love this place. The workers are friendly and helpful and the products sold are very good. The Walnut Creek products that I tried were excellent. We purchased a frozen smoked turkey from them for last Christmas and it was superb! So also was the frozen sweet potato casserole we bought for last Thanksgiving. Hard to go wrong here. Highly recommended.

I love their maple donuts which is only available every donut Saturday (every third Saturday of the month). I love how they help other local businesses by reselling their products in here. People are very nice here too. Love this place!

This bakery is amazing!!! I placed orders for several cakes, pies, and cookies, and they were all wonderful. I place orders every Christmas for all my baked goods. Their fruitcake is the best ever. There is only enough cake to hold the pieces of fruit and nuts together. It's wonderfully moist, and my 11 year-old picky eater LOVES it.

We walked in and could smell fresh bread baking. We found the loaves of bread but there was moisture inside the bags and they felt cold. I asked if they had been frozen and they replied yes. I don't buy frozen bread. What a disappointment. We didn't buy anything because of the frozen bread we stopped to get FRESH. And NO, fresh frozen is NOT fresh! Update to owners comment, they freeze the bread to give us the freshest product. No fresh is right out of oven. Also the frozen bread doesn't have a date on it so you don't know how old the frozen bread is.

Have loved this place for a long time. We go as often as we can because they have things other stores don't.We haven't been in a while and we're kinda shell shocked at how the prices has gone up. They had some new items and stillost of the ones we were used to getting. I was hoping in the jam section I would find some cantaloupe jam or jelly. They had a lot of different flavors but not this one. I have looked everywhere I go for it.I first seen it at the Amish town we went to and got a jar. Wish we had gotten more as it is really good.If you want specialty items and fresh products the Swiss Pantry is where to go.We went for the open house this year on October 1,2022. It was very crowded but we enjoyed looking around and got a couple things.The only thing was there was a line inside the store all the way around for the donuts. So you weren't able to really look at any of the merchandise. Because we always find good stuff there we like the oats, baking items and such.The guys managing the traffic in and out did a very good job. Also the gentlemen that were taking people up to everything and also back to their cars were very nice. We took advantage of this service on the way back to our vehicle.

From the chicken salad to the take home prepaid bake meals and spices there isn't anything they don't do. Need a dessert for a special occasion but don't have time to bake? They have whole pies too.
