Christmas day the manager was in the parking lot swearing at my husband in front of myself and our 6year old. As we were leaving. We stopped and were looking for a restroom for our child. Didnt see one. Were literally walking out the door back to our vehicle and he came outaide and started yelling at us. That this was "no place to do the pee" and he went off. Threatening to hurt us. Disgusting person.

Truck Parking, clean spacious rooms, good shower pressure, comfortable king size beds, no bugs of any kind (I checked before I accepted). Staff are nice. Although this was my first time here, I can tell there were renovations. Very nice. I was in room 120. I would give 5 stars if they had microwave and fridge in the room. I enjoyed my stay!!!

The building seems relatively new. Our coverlet had a cigarette burn in it, but the room was clean--didn't smell of either cigarette smoke or ungodly amounts of disinfectant. We had a king bed, which, as usual, makes for a spacious room. :) Clean and simple, which is how I like it. I actually like not having a breakfast included, as then I don't have to guess at what will be available (and which, let's be honest, is part of the room charge at places that have it.)

The hotel is very clean & nice looking. That is where the positives end. The desk clerk (same lady late at night and in the morning) was rude and short with myself & another lady in the lobby. There is a gas station next to the hotel and pretty much nothing else. For being out in the middle of nowhere, there were too many people just hanging around in the parking lot. It did not feel safe. We kept looking out the window to make sure no one was by our vehicle. Then in the morning, when people were checking out I had to use a different set of stairs because they were using a chainsaw to trim bushes right next to the lobby and the staircase I wanted to use. Traveling with young children and a dog, there was no way I was going to have them go by with plugged in chainsaw laying on the ground. We used another staircase and I went to the lobby to check out by myself. Even though it is a clean & inexpensive hotel option I will not be staying there again.

Was shocked at how comfortable the beds were. An extremely nice hotel for the 45$. Definitely the best budget hotel I have ever stayed at. The gas station next store also served the best freshly made fried chicken I've ever had. The only problem was that the towels needed to be bleached.

If you need an overnight stay and don't mind a firm bed, this would be my pick. Walked in and immediately was happy. Smelled better than any motel room I have ever been in. Loved the wood floors. Clean as the pics. Owners seem like very nice people.

Great budget room and dog friendly. The room was clean and the beds/pillows were very comfortable. We called at around midnight while driving across the country and got a room quickly, friendly staff. I would stay here again.

Great value for the money. Especially great for us travelling with the pets. Although we take extra care to avoid accidents, do appreciate the spartan style as it makes any needed cleanup easy for us prior to checkout and for the staff preparing the room after the prior guests.

The room was spotless and had sufficient towels and amenities. It was not luxurious or over the top but we didn't expect that. The woman who checked us in was courteous and prompt at midnight. The room was however a smoking room which was disconcerting. It never occurred to me to check that it wasn't and I'm wondering if that was why we got a lower price via priceline. The parking area was not cleared of snow and ice which was unfortunate and tough to navigate. Also, there was a car running while parked in the lot with the windows cracked. I noticed there was a man sleeping in there when we pulled in close to midnight. I felt sorry for him but wasn't really worried. My caveat to recommendations is that I would caution people that it is a no frills experience, even though they did an excellent job cleaning and providing the necessities.

The property was great! The owner was very friendly. The grounds well maintained. The rooms amazingly clean and comfortable. We loved the bright airy feel of the new decor! A definite great member of the Motel 6 family.

Spacious room exceeded expectations. Check in was high tech fast. There was no whiff of smoke in a non-smoking room. Bed was comfy. Everything was clean. It was quiet. Perfect for a motorcycle traveler.

This is the best motel I have "ever" stayed in. It was extremely clean, had the most comfortable bed/pillows and I slept like a baby. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is evident they work very hard to keep this motel clean and comfortable for their guests. I applaud them!

First room smelled really bad, a perfumed prostitute that smelled like 5 unwashed dogs had been in room for days. We asked for another room, which smelled almost as bad. The floor was filthy, the bottom of our socks were black within minutes. The staff was rude and very unfriendly. The outside smelled like cat pee. When talking to other persons staying at the hotel, the front desk clerk yelled across the room "is there a problem?"

Stayed Here 8/29/14Wow! Motel 6 has stepped it up with new décor, flat screen TV and more modern touches. The front desk was very kind in meeting a few requests. Room was spacious, clean and nice. Great hot water/water pressure in shower. Would definitely stay here again. The only "bad" thing was that in this redecorating, there was a pronounced smell of something chemical. It smelled like how it is when you open a new shower curtain.... PVC plastic smell... paint maybe, I don't know. BUT... I'd rather smell THAT then any number of horrible alternatives you read about in motels. There is a gas station-convenience store-truck parking next door and this Motel 6 is kind of in a dark area, so common sense would dictate that there might be sketchy things afoot... or maybe not. Don't blame the hotel for their location.

To be honest I've stayed in alot of Motel 6 but this is the first one that i actually like. Like the sign says it looks better up close. Hard wood floors, nice lighting and a killer bathroom. The employees are very nice and helpful. Best night sleep so far.

We booked and payed for our room online. The night clerk was very nice when we arrived. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. There was coffee waiting at the front desk when we checked out the next morning. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Room smells like a mix of baby powder and urine. The wash rag had pubic hair woven into it. Not worth the money. Stop on exit 156. Better hotels to choose from. This wouldn't have been anywhere near as bad if the room didn't stink.

I like the people who run this unit. Very friendly. They always save me a room where I request by a handicap parking spot. The rooms are always clean. The price is always fair. The work areas in the rooms are nice and large. Good Wi-Fi. Good coffee. What I want from Motel 6 is consistency. I get that at this unit. BTW, I have been staying at Motel 6's since I was a kid with my family and it cost $6 to stay there (hence, the name). I can afford to stay in more expensive hotels. I choose not to.

Terrible! After a long 12 hour drive with 2 kids, we couldnt wait to get out of the car. We get there only to find out they are having sewer problems and cannot rent any rooms tonight. Now this would of been understandable if they would of called/text/emailed prior to us coming instead of showing up late at night only to be told we cant get the room we reserved weeks ago! Now we were lucky enough to find another hotel nearby thankfully or I dont know what we would of done that late at night! We had to pay much more for a different hotel with smaller beds and much much moremoney! Thanks alot for ruining the budget we had for our vacation!! If we would of known earlier I'msure we could of found a cheaper hotel instead of a least minute hotel! My booking didnt show as canceled like i was told they would cancel the booking. So I canceled it myself and got the message that I would still be charged for the room for canceling after 6pm so fingers crossed I'm not on the phonetommorrow trying to get a refund!

We have stayed at this motel numerous times over the last 2-3 years. The location is probably a bit out of the way for many but perfect for us as we are visiting family near Brownsville and others closer toward Jackson. Desk staff is friendly and rooms are comfortable. We travel with two small dogs and medication that requires refrigeration. My only complaint is that only rooms on second floor have micro-frig which means that I must navigate the stairs to get dogs outside to do their business. Two dogs, leashes, and stairs are not easily managed and could be an accident waiting to happen.

Good room for the price. Was fairly clean, except for the air conditioner. Parking nearby for big trucks was nice because I was driving a big moving truck. That's the main reason we stayed there.

Can't beat the location - you can throw a stone from I-40 and hit it. But no highway traffic sounds reach the motel. Convenience store and gas station next door with friendly employees. I feel safe staying here. It's bare bones and clean. Great choice if you need a one night stay on your way from here to there. The only con: I needed a fridge but to get one I would've had to switch my ground floor room for a second floor. Don't understand why fridge's aren't available on ground floor rooms.

I have stayed in shitty cheap hotels all over the country and this is by far the best for under $50 I've come across. It seems like it must have been recently updated. Clean room, no gross carpet, didn't at all smell like cigs or animals or hooker grime. Flat screen TV, good WIFI, clean towels even a really nice blue paint color on one accent wall. Yay!

Standing water and sewage in sink. Filthy walls. Air conditioning made noise but didn't cool. I changed rooms and it was no better than the first one. Very hot and uncomfortable. Rude staff, as well.

I had reserved a non-smoking room, as I was traveling with my husband and 2 kids and they changed it, without asking me to a smoking room. When I complained and asked them to change it. The staff member argue and told he had smell cigarette odor when I checked in. I don't smoke and I found those accusations rude and inappropriate.

I've stayed in a bunch of Motel 6's and I was very happy with this one. Nothing untoward to report. Manager is very thorough. Not one complaint, unlike most Motel 6's and others. Stayed here rather than in Memphis and was very satisfied.

I reserved a king size bed using the app, but I was placed in a dirty room. There were dirty linens and trash everywhere. I went back to the front desk to explain what happened, and the guy behind the desk blamed faulty paperwork. I was instead given a queen size room that was not what I asked for, but at that point I was too exhausted to care.

It was clean and quiet. Good for one night stay, two or more if you bring your own food. No food delivery, and no real food within 10 miles. The convience store next door, had awful food. Even the simple corndogs were rotten. Blackish/brown with green tints. I took a picture.
