I went to Lowe’s today to get paint and a few other things and had a great experience! I was expecting to have a long wait to get my paint and was pleasantly surprised by the quick mix and wonderful customer service. Frank was so kind and personable! Will be coming back soon 😊

I was just in the Lowe’s with my dad and some other family members and got 1,657$ worth of stuff. Our cashier was very rude and said the check declined, her name was Patti. Another women came around the corner claiming to be the manager and didn’t do what a manager would do. Safe to say they have lost us as consumers.

Had a very difficult order of about 12 doors of different sizes. Roxanne at the mill works desk was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She called another store and found the in stock doors and helped me order them for pick up. She even signed me up for a pro account, which I’ve been meaning to do. The store hung up on us at least three times, but she called back until our business was completed. Thank you Roxanne, you rock and made my visit to Lowe’s much better

My husband and I Have been converting a shed into an office and have bought many supplies from this location. On two separate occasions we have bought an item that was used, returned and put back on the shelf to be resold and was defective. Upon trying to return or exchange these items we have been met with nothing but issues of how “they couldn’t prove” that the items were used and broken when we bought them. Nothing but a hassle when they clearly aren’t properly checking items they are allowing others to return and just putting them back on the shelf. I will not be shopping at any Lowes from now on and will spend my money elsewhere.

They actually didn't have a register open. It's a self-service place. I highly recommend Home Depot if you have one close.

I'm in your store a whole lot and generally when I need something I only ask Terry or Darryl. Those guys have it together and far surpass some of the younger fellas that wouldn't know the difference between a bolt and a nut. As far as my complaint. You have a older female working the cash register near the pro desk, who has the attitude of a brick. Countless times I have dealt with her, and as old as she is, she needs a refresher on customer service. It doesn't take much to greet your customer or wish them a nice day, or better yet hear something come out of their mouth other than the oxygen they are consuming. Customer relations can make you or break you !!!

Spent 745.00 on a dryer that lasted 3 days. Lowes refused to reimburse me or replace it with another one. The sales assistant actually said you are screwed to my face. I spent over 100k. Last year with this store in building materials and was going to probably spend more than that this year. I'll never do business with them again.

Wow, I mean WOW! I've had decent service in the past, but today was beyond ridiculous. I showed up to pick up a 3000lb bag of sand that I had called on earlier. It was literally just outside, mabe 30ft away. The first cashier couldn't find it and asked if I could get a picture of it. I get out of line to take a picture only to come right back, only to have to get back in line. I ended up in another line. Finally, get to the register only to be told the same thing. It can't be found in the system, Yada Yada. After several irritated and snippy remarks, I was asked if," I needed it today?" I'm probably 30 minutes into this adventure already. I replied with, "I just drove 45 minutes and called ahead to verify they had the item, yes, i need it today." The looks I received were anything but warm and understanding. After another several minutes of grumbling from the cashiers and griping from several customers behind me, I asked if they could just call the store manager. I was told by the cashier, "I don't feel like talking with them." Finally, one of the cashiers walks away, and the other pulls out a booklet containing several items. He locates the 1 ton item, and just beside it in hand written pen was the SKU for "1.5 ton sand." I finally get to pay for the sand, but not before I get several angry comments from customers behind me and one in particular that told me, "Nice job" Like it was my fault!😡 how in the HELL did I go from an everyday customer to the most hated individual by customers and employees? And both made sure to let me know in one way or another. I understand that folks have really bad days and eventually take it out on the innocent, but today was absolutely beyond absurd. I can't begin to explain the embarrassment I felt from the absurdly long customer line only because the employees couldn't find the item in the system. I have no words.

Do not use this store assistant managers are racists and very rude and not helpful. We have national acct and they wanted to ignore are workers and be rude and argent to them cause there English wasn’t right . We spoke on phone and they still ignored do not go here district manager needs to step up before then end up getting sued or on news. With the language an verbiage they used . As we recorded them and may publish it or send to local news if store doesn’t act.

Ricky Davis was extremely helpful,knowledgeable and knew exactly where to find the items was looking for as well as Kyle from the garden center answered all my questions. And Connie at self checkout helped me scan my items because my arms were full because I forgot to get a basket. I dearly love this Athens TN Lowes. The staff are so kind and quick and attentive to helping you with anything and even listen to you ramble. It really is a wonderful place to shop.

My husband and I visited the Lowe’s in Athens today to buy paint and other supplies. The gentleman in the pain dept was exceptional. However, when we went to checkout they only had self checkout and we were purchasing a gift card. We went to the service counter and asked if she could ring us up to which she responded no. I was in the middle of explaining we were trying to purchase a gift card but before I could even finish she began pointing and nodding her head saying very loudly that she had two ladies helping over in the self checkout area. I’ve never been spoken to so rudely by an employee at a Lowe’s in my life. When I asked if they would be able to ring up my gift card she spoke to me in a condescending tone yet again. My husband then asked to speak to a manager and she called one and told us where he would meet us. Then she started laughing hysterically when we walked away. I went back and asked her name. The manager’s response was less than lackluster and basically just said he would “speak” with her later. We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel and have purchased all of our new appliances and materials from Lowes, but it’s going to be very difficult to spend any more money there now.

The past two times I have come here, I have had bad experiences. Customer service is a joke. Nobody can be bothered to help you. They are quick to say no to something but seem to be incapable to even offer to help figure out any solutions. Twenty years ago, when I moved here, this was a great store with spectacular staff. Now it just sucks.

Lowe’s only offers a 48 hour warranty on all appliances, this information was not offered at the time of purchase. I purchased a washer that was defective form the very first use. I have only had it 8 days… it took a few days to get it hooked-up. The whole world offers a 30 day store warranty except Lowe’s!! It’s super inconvenient to have to wait for a service call on a brand new appliance!! I’m super disappointed appointed at the lack of information and service. I asked to speak to the manager and never got connected. I will never purchase appliances from Lowe’s again!!

Bought a Amana washer/dryer here.Free deliveries over $300+ purchases. Guys came got them in the apartment. Couldn't hook them up since the sales associate forgot to mention you absolutely have to buy hoses and electrical wiring from Lowe's.That's really not that big a deal.But after spending $1,100 for these things I open the dryer and some D-Bag has drunk their water twisted it up and thrown their garbage into the box. So I have to literally deal with someone else's trash.Trying them out now hope they work.

Lowes in Athens TN has some of the most knowledgeable and helpful staff! Not only product knowledge but knowing the location of products outside their departments and willing to escort you to the aisle and shelf!

James Roberts, or Allen as he calls himself should NOT be giving interviews. He never introduced himself to me, (I was wondering who Allen was when, according to the email, I was supposed to meet with James) never shook my hand, never looked at my resume and reference letter and turned my words around saying that I said I’d never work Saturdays. When I tried to explain things to him or tell him about myself, he cut me off. I reached right over his desk and took back my resume and reference letter since he wasn’t going to bother looking at them and as I turned to leave, he had the sarcasm to say “Welcome to Tennessee”. He said I’m not a good fit for Lowe’s. What a thing to say to someone! He doesn’t even know me or tried to know me. Lowe’s isn’t a good fit for me as I’m over qualified to work there anyway. James/Allen is a poor representation of Lowe’s especially as the first face a new employee will see.

Lowes salesman sold us the wrong water heater. Then our installers had to take it back and get another one. This cost us an extra hour that we had to pay for. The salesperson new we owned a home and sold us one for a mobile home. Not pleased with Lowes and will probably not ever buy anything again from them.

I bought 70 boards and they pushed them off the forklift in a pile of mess that can't even be strapped down. Didn't bother to stack them or help us stack them. In the last two weeks have spent well over 3k in lumber and each visit has been such a disaster. They won't be getting anymore of our business.

Got anything you need for indoor or outdoor projects. Price matching. Busy place so don't expect to zip in and out. I think they in early stages of going all self checkout. Not sure how that will work out in contractors / lumber area. Better drop prices if I have to do everything. I do have other options for my home improvement needs.

Do not go to this store, the only way not to do self check is go thru the garden center or lumber, one worker asked if she could open a register and was told no, I'll drive to Cleveland before I shop at this store

Clean and well stocked. They have good deals on the marked down flowers. Sometimes the credit card machine is down but the sweet little lady that works the self checkout makes up for it.
