I have a tremendous amount of respect for the amazing people who run and volunteer at the animal shelter. They give everything they've got all day everyday. A lot of times it's a thankless job and people don't see the struggles and sad times. I'm very grateful for the volunteers and Cheryl for the spectacular jobs they do.

We recently adopted a 6 month old puppy. Everything went smoothly. The adoption prices are lower than any other place we looked. Our puppy only cost $100 but has had all of his vaccinations and was fixed. You will want to make an appointment to view the animals they have. That is understandable since most everyone there are volunteers.We felt so strongly about their wanting to help the animals that we signed up as volunteers to help.

Amazing staff great with animals and is by appointment only so your not waiting in a line no more always best to leave a voicemail over the phone since they work outside with the animals most the time .

I volunteer here for the love of innocent beautiful needy cats and dogs animals in general worked hard walk the dogs scrape and clean if need it give them love and compassion but Sheryl the director older women acts very aggressive and bossy when I was so kind Laura Castellani bad mouth me and cussed me out just because I called concerned about the animals very dissapointed now Sheryl the older lady tells me I can't adopt I can't volunteer why so much hate ? I called spoke very polite w respect she hung up and she's very royal we need kind hearted lady who cares and shows compassion please dear God bring love Im this Animal shelter I don't deserve to be trashed around when I had best intentions for the poor animals outside in the heat locked in the cage Sheryl you need love and respect for others Laura you need faith and God so you won't cuss and be so mad as a training person very sad I hope the animals are saved but they're not they're sad and I can't adopt At least I deserve some respect instead hostility and bossy vicious Sheryl and Laura the old women's

I turned in a stray. I TRIED to tell them what I had learned about the puppy and what the dog liked, what animals it got along with etc but they acted like they didn't care at all! I'd never recommend them to anyone and will never take another stray there!

I adopted a little dog that was an owner surrender. His name is Tucker but I've decided his name will be Mr. Tucker. He's a senior dog Maltese mix. We love him. He's already being spoiled.

Appointment only, terrible location, literally a feral cat chasing stuff around the dumpsters right outside the place. Would love if I could look at the animals to see if they have ours but they'd rather you leave a voice-mail so they can euthanize them in the meantime.

These people are top notch and take great care of their animals you will not be displeased, they receive new fur babies every day, so please consider adopting.

Please do not take animals here. Their staff is horrible. I was told to bring some feral kittens here and they cussed and yelled when I showed up. They were also being very aggressive with other animals while I was there. Stay as far away as possible from this place. They need to be shut down by the state.

We got Jace (Nickle) 2 months ago, he is such a sweet dog, he loves to cuddle and play with his toy, these lady's did a great job with him before I got him, he listens to commands well

This location stocks to rules n boundaries that are set to keep people and animals safe n ensure lengthy happiness. They have her us in our diar need for assistance as family member was diagnosed with cancer recently. Can't wait to give back to them.

I've adopted two dogs from here and recently had to take in a stray kitten to surrender. They are always kind and the critters are their primary concern. Adopt - don't shop for your next fur baby.

There's one man I don't think needs to work there because he doesn't seem to care or like animals at all ( told me not to pet or bother with a dog because it killed a chicken and needs to be put down.. I did anyways to show him it was a very sweet dog.. not violent to me and was I sad I couldn't save it too- I don't have chickens...) The rest of the people seem to and they do a good job taking care of the place. I got my pet from here and he's been with me 7 years now. It's all about the animals. I tell all my friends and family if they want a pet please go here and save one.

They took my dog to there shelter after my horrific truck accident on 8/24/2019.I was in no condition to give them permission to rake my dog nor did I.I was promised at the scene once I was admitted to Athens county hospital That McmInn county animal rescue would bring me my dog Miss Lola Falana Foxy.That promise was broken I still have not seen my baby girl and Rescued here when she was only like 3 months old from Cherokee NC.Native American Indian reservation.I rescue animals and they save me.I am not funded I am disabled as well.I and do this out of the kindness of my own heart out of my own pocket and I keep them FOREVER.I also do trip advisor reviews I have ADHD and have never been treated for it I am diabetic I have degenerative disc disease and Tyrroid disease and Fibromyalgia disease and serving the great creator and his creations give me a true purpose in life! God is sooo Good.So why is it that they refuse to return my dog to me. Hmmm go figure.
