Took a perfectly good Dollar General Market and destroyed it by adding Pop Shelf, changing stock and relying on self checkout. Fresh produce used to be reliable and now nothing may be out and if it is it's not fresh! Change in shopping experience, atmosphere and employee demeanor!

It's a wonderful place to shop. The employees here are incredibly helpful!!!I'm being totally honest & completely serious in that statement!On three different shopping trips here... they've gone above & beyond to assist me! I'm genuinely grateful & truly thankful for the fine folks here at DG MARKET!!!You can't go wrong stopping & shopping here!!!I highly & kindly recommend them!!!

I go in this store often and it is a very nice store and it’s got to where you can’t find the things you want or need because of shortage’s or shipping issues and that is completely understandable considering how things are nowadays. But one thing that I CAN ALWAYS COUNT ON IS IF THE CASHIER “ ACIE” is working on that day or night then you will get a totally awesome experience with this gentleman!! HE IS ALWAYS, CHEERFUL, POLITE, HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY AND HE ALWAYS MAKES ME SMILE BECAUSE HE IS ALWAYS SO SWEET AND HAPPY TO HELP ME WITH ALL MY QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS ABOUT PRODUCTS AND EVEN HAPPY TO LISTEN TO MY COMPLAINTS ABOUT ANYTHING AND THEN TRY TO HELP ME SOLVE ANY ISSUES kTHAT I HAVE !!! I have been waiting in line and he is always as nice with everyone else as he is with me !!! What a great employee you have! I hope you have noticed and that the company has been noticing the outstanding customer service and work he has been giving the customers at this store !! It is one of the better dollar generals I’ve been to. Even before it was pop shelf. I’d give it a 4 or even 5 star if they would answer their phone. It’s not like I’ve ever had to call up there but the one time I do no answer. I’ve been trying all afternoon.

The store for the most part is stocked well and clean. However they employees here are such rays of sunshine I mean seriously. All the times I have shopped here I have encountered 1 nice employee. Never 1 smile or most of the time not even a thank you. Dollar General has been so focused on growing and getting on every corner they have lost site of their customer service and it's disappointing.

This Dollar General is fairly new and looks quite run down and dirty. Some of the staff doesn't wear uniforms. I find that a little unacceptable. Sometimes the store is stocked well sometimes its not, maybe they don't have the staff numbers, I'm not sure. There is improvement to be made here in cleanliness and staff.

The place is pretty good to get what we need in this little town and the staff is pleasant. I took a star off because they don't carry enough variety in grocery and their stock is rarely full. They are not reliable to have even a can of Salsa some days. The general merchandise is decent and stocked though no cheaper than other places. Some things, not many, I believe are priced because of ease of access to the items without large chain stores. Coupons are available. Clean store

Let me start by saying that this review has nothing to do with the staff/customer service at this store. If I were to rate that, it would definitely be a 4-5. They have a pretty solid staff.With that being said, my review is based off of the addition of popshelf to the market.... I truly wished they would not have done this. Don't get me wrong, I love the new popshelf merchandise but it has come at a little bit of a cost to the customers. The store doesn't carry nowhere near the amount of merchandise it used to carry. The selections in the market are pitiful. It almost seems as if they are slowly trying to weed out the market all together bc popshelf is most definitely their focal point now. You used to be able to get every single item on your grocery list from this store. Now, every time I go, I end up going to a second store to try and complete my list.There are definitely good qualities in regards to the addition of popshelf. The selection is awesome, I'm not going to lie. I just wished that I (as well as others I have spoken to about it) didn't have to sacrifice so much of the old store in order to get it.

Stocked and clean shopping. Wonderful shopping experience.Had a price difference issue and it was resolved with No Issues. Wonderful staff. I also left my card in the machine at checkout and it was securely kept and returned Jeep up the good work

Love shopping at this store, they have a lot more products then just the regular Dollar Store's. The only complaint I have is the cashier's need to go back and let someone show them how to bag and how to be more friendlier to the customer's.

We always shop here. They have good prices abd a great variety of items. They stay up with the latest holidays and they also have very nice greeting cards. We shop here once a week at least. We love having them in our little town. The people who work their are a pleasure and we haven't had any problems. Good place to stop and shop. Always having sales and they do coupons! In store/online (just sign up and then put your phone number in the terminal) and manufacture's coupons. I like getting my ereciepts on my phone. *Not thrilled with the changes. Do we need more knick knacks and what nots? We will see how it goes. It seems they don't have the groceries that they once had. We have stopped shopping there as much. They don't have many of our needs and they have a lot of stuff. Not thrilled

Products and product displays are closer to premium content. However, quality of product isn't in question. Today, being 2nd in line of 4 watching the cashier process a customer through the rigors of checking out. The cashier looks up and says she isn't taking anymore. Could there have been a statement prior to finishing the customer in front of me? Could have there been some sort of "customer service" consideration? End of this story put me in another line back to wait to check out by another 5 or 6 people.

. I was back in the store on the 12th of Feb.went through register 3 which was being run by a very tall young man. He never welcomed me only told me the total without looking at me.Gave me my change without speaking. I very loudly said "THANK YOU"he said "no problem. And didn't give me my register receipt. Needless to say that when and if I go back I will not go through his line.

I wish we had one of these stores in my neighborhood! They've got a great selection of items, and then Wal-Mart wouldn't get all of my money.I would have given 5 stars, however, they had a lot of aisles blocked off due to restocking and the employees didn't offer to move and/or just hand me the item I was in search of, let alone acknowledge my existance. Polite employees mean a lot to me.I'll go back if I'm near there again. 2nd chances are a good thing to give!♡

My favorite store to shop at, besides Hometown Market . These are the only two stores I go to on regular basis. Keep up the great work. I just wish the Dollar general store they opened right down the road from me had been a dollar general market.

So disappointed. Store is extremely overcrowed with unpacked inventory sitting eveywhere making it nearly impossible to move with a basket.Stopped to pick up a single onion and there were more rotten onions than good.And the prices were high.Do not olan on visiting again! Once was enough.

Wish the pricing on the shelves would coincide with what's charged at the register. Since all I got was a shrug from the cashier, I took the liberty of leaving my purchases and went somewhere else. I guess they count on people not being able to add up their grocery buys.

We drive 27 miles just to get lipton green tea in bottles because in Alabama NO STORES, not Walmart, Publix, dollar stores nor dollar markets carry it any more. HOWEVER this store just across the Tennessee line does along with many many other items. They even have university of Alabama shirts for sale. IN TENNESSEE. ROLL TIDE! Lol

They are always out of certain product. Milos sweet tea is one is them. I went twice this past week to get some and both times they were out.
