Perfect campground for relaxation and outdoor fun. The lake for fishing, swimming, and walking is beautiful. If you like to Mountain Bike, there are 28 miles to ride from the campground directly, about 100 feet per mile in climb, but rollers and downhills are fun. Some of the cleanest bath house facilities that I have ever seen, and a sink for dish washing is right there as well. About 30-45 minutes from Knoxville, depending on where you need to go. There are plenty more trails in the area, and Clinch River Brewery (good food and beer) nearby. Highly recommended.Nearby activities: We enjoyed an evening of Top Golf near Knoxville as well.Walkability: Plenty of beautiful scenic trails (shared with cyclists) or lakefront to enjoy exploring.Food & drinks: Local brewery within 20 minutes, great food and beverages (cider and beer). Knoxville if you need to scale up. Nearby restaurants for breakfast as well.Noteworthy details: Beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the Cumberland Mountains.

Really enjoyed our stay at Loyston Campground. We had a site on the water. Beautiful sunrises every day. There are lakeviews from most of the sites even it they aren't directly on the water. It's very clean and safe. The campground workers are activity patrolling to insure the bathrooms, bath houses and trash are in good order. The only negative pertains to Firewood. Can't bring your own. Have to purchase from them. Cost $7 for a bundle of wood (approximately 5 pieces of wood). It would take about $50 to build a good fire for several hours.

The campground itself is nice, decent for the price and close for a nice weekend get away. The campsites have water and power but no sewer hookups. Water is practically all around the campground to plenty of water to fish. Campsite we stayed in was pretty level, graveled off, not on top of each other. Bath house was cleaner then any I’ve seen in along time.I gave a 3 star review based off my experience of the entire stay.Dogs are supposed to be leashed at all times. This was our first time bringing our dogs camping and someone had their poodle off leash. They were on the other side of the lake and their dog charged onto our campground at my child and dogs. Caused such chaos..That dog wasn’t the only one off leash but the only one we encounteredNot to mention, This is twice we have came at this campground and people just allow their little kids to wonder. When I say little I mean 4-6 years old. Because we have an older kid (11) they tend to flock to him. Which is fine, however we’ve ended up being a sitter twice now we’ve stayed at this campground. The first time we stayed a 4 year old was at our campsite until 11pm and I had no clue where her parents was or what campground she belonged to. Her mother was at the friend’s next door then they all went MIA.This time the neighbor camper just allowed their daughter who’s 5 onto our campsite multiple times even though we asked not and she had a digital camera taking photos of us and was just overly loud and obnoxious. I understand kids will be kids and we are all trying to have fun but teach campsite education.Needless to say we won’t be back this is the only campground we’ve experienced this at.

We stayed here in August 2019. It is our absolute favorite place to camp! We tent-camped in Site #52. The walking distance to the bathroom means we could tent camp without the portable toilet AND have hot showers every day. The staff drove around at least once a day, which made me feel safer staying there. They also checked daily that we had enough firewood for our campsite. I would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return in 2024.Nearby activities: There is a portion of the lake roped off as a pool, which is a short drive from Site #52.Safety: Staff are always around and checking on guests without overshadowing them. A perfect balance.Walkability: Site #52 is only a short walk to the bathhouse.

Stayed at the cabin for a quick bike race and it was GREAT!!! The cabins are super cute and off in a quiet area. The staff at the front office are the BEST! Super helpful and kind. Could not recommend more. It also has some great mountain bike trails in the areaRooms: Great rooms with fridge, microwave and heat. The outdoor picnic table and fire ring were also nice.Nearby activities: Great green and blue rated trails for biking.

Loyston Point campground is one of our favorite's. The pad's are small and not always level, and the water may come from a hose from 2 sites down, but that's okay. The charm, ambience, and general peace and beauty outweighs all the little faults. Small to medium-sized campers will fare well in just about any spot, really long campers better call the office first, as there are also some tight turns getting to the campground. The bathrooms are clean and the staff is very friendly.

My first camping experience at Loyston Point Campground was absolutely fantastic! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by super friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean, which was a pleasant surprise and definitely contributed to my overall comfort during the stay. But let me tell you about the view! It was simply breathtaking. Waking up to the sight of the sun rising over the serene lake was truly a memorable experience. I couldn't get enough of the natural beauty surrounding the campground. What impressed me the most, however, was the helpful and kind nature of the staff. They went above and beyond to assist me with any questions or concerns I had, making me feel like a part of their camping family. Their warm and welcoming demeanor added an extra layer of enjoyment to my trip.I'm already planning my next visit to Loyston Point Campground because I know it's a place I'll want to return to. The end of October was the perfect time to go. The weather was pleasant, and the fall foliage added a touch of magic to the scenery. Just a friendly tip: make sure to book early! I was lucky enough to secure the last spot for the weekend before Halloween, and I wouldn't want anyone to miss out on this incredible experience. In summary, Loyston Point Campground exceeded all my expectations. With its super friendly staff, pristine bathrooms, stunning views, and a sense of being part of a family, it truly made for an unforgettable camping adventure. I can't wait to go back and create more cherished memories in this little slice of paradise.

Took my grandson camping for his first time and my first time here at Loyston Point and it's by far the best camp ground in my opinion around. I can't wait to come back. All the camp spots are very spacious and nice. Very clean bathhouse and all the employees I've talked to were amazing! They have everything and more you could ask for here. Thank you for a very beautiful place and again can't wait to come back. Aka Kay and Graysen.

Absolutely one of the nicest campgrounds my wife and I have ever visited! While our site was not very level, the view of the lake was beautiful and more the made up for the leveling issues. The lake is crystal clear with a small but very nice beach nearby. The campground staff were very friendly and more than ready to help out with forgotten items and/or issues that may occur. The campground office is well stocked with necessities. The restrooms and showers were very clean and in excellent condition. Except for the 4 1/2 - 5 hr drive for us, this would be my regular weekend getaway! We will DEFINITELY be back! Kudos to Ginger and her husband for the wonderful job they do in managing this campground.

We've been camping for 3 years, and this campground shot straight to the top of my list of favorites! Spots are well spaced, there's plenty of shade, and the water and views are both incredible! The lake and park are worth visiting even if just using the day area and trails, and the staff are very friendly and do a great job maintaining the campground. I've never seen a camp store so well stocked with actually useful items. This is the first campground I've been to where I immediately knew this would be a regular location for us from now on.

Loyston point is a 5 star campsite!!!! We stayed in site 9 and our friends were in 10. Both sites are full shade and accessible to the water! The bathhouse is very clean and the camp store is 10/10! The best we have seen! The best part of the camp is the community feel! The owners and camp workers are so personable, friendly, and have literally thought of everything you would need during your stay! It was our favorite trip yet!

Our first trip to Loyston Point Campground and it won’t be our last. The camping spots were nicely spaced out, good views of the lake in most sites, our site was on the other side of the main road from the Lake but we were able to see the lake and relax; if you love to hear the birds and watch them at the lake you will enjoy this campground; check in was easy and reception and workers were very helpful and kind. Highly recommend.

We recently stayed at Loyston Point Campground. We LOVED our time there. Quiet, breezy and sunshine each day. The view was FANTASTIC at our site and the best was seeing all the birds and chipmunks that ran around our site. The staff are all friendly and very easy to locate when we had questions. The store is awesome , in case you forget to bring something(we did😁)We have already booked another week there. Can’t wait to return! Thank you all!

We have been camping since the 1970’s but this was our first trip to Loyston Point. We’re sorry it took us so long to find you! The park and every part of it is sparkling clean and very well cared for. The lake is absolutely stunning. If you can rent a boat, do it! Everything at the park was in working condition. The campsites, especially those on the water, are spectacular! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. We wouldn’t change a thing about our stay. Thank you so much for a vacation with all good memories to share! We’ll definitely be back!

I can’t say enough great things about Loyston Point. The employees are beyond exceptional! So sweet and accommodating. Loyston had amazing views, hiking trails, a beach, and other activities but we really look forward to seeing the employees every time we visit. They work so hard and everything is so clean! My family gives it a 10+.

Hit the like button if this is helpfullGreat campground! The host and staff are a great bunch of folks. They keep the bathrooms clean and tidy.I only found one issue which was with the electrical. The further away you are from the main distribution panel, you will have issues with the breaker to your post tripping due to the inadequate wire size that was run when the campgrounds system was installed. Let them know and they will reset it quicklyIf you live to hike or ride bikes, there are many trails within walking distance of the campground.Check them out, you won't regret it.Restrooms: Cleaned dailyDog-friendliness: They love doggies!
