I understand wanting a line of customers to be taken care of more quickly, but the approach of a manager coming out from behind the counter and dictating people to go to self-checkout is not acceptable. If we wanted to do self-checkout, we would go to that line.

I’ve been using this store for years. It’s never been what I would consider to be a great experience but it was convenient. Well today will be the straw that breaks the camels back so to speak. Lots of snow, I’m out of a prescription that I could never get the pharmacy to answer the phone to confirm it was filler, I finally get the front of the store who tells me they are open for 15 more minutes. I rush over on icy roads to be denied service - NOT because it was 5 when they closed, but because - and I quote “we are closing soon, sorry”.

I called them at 9:30 this morning to get a prescription filled that had been on hold. They said it would be ready within an hour. I went at 11:45 to pick it up, and they said it was not ready. They were backed up. 🤬 we live over 6 miles from there. Wasted trip.

Do not send your prescriptions to this CVS location. My prescription was filled under the wrong patient and billed on their insurance.I discovered this when I got home and looked at my prescription bag. It was the right medication and doctor, but entirely the wrong patient. I am baffled at how the pharmacy technician did not catch this when she retrieved and cashiered my prescription. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name. She is middle aged, blonde, wears glasses, and has a northern accent. This happened on Sunday night, 11/12/23 after 7 pm.The tech had 3 indicators that would have told her my prescription was incorrect:1. My last name. When I arrived in the store to pick up my prescription, the tech asked for my name so she could retrieve my prescription bag from the rack. My last name is similar to the wrong patient's, but not really, especially when spoken out loud.2. The tech then asked for my birth day, month, and year. The wrong patient and I share the same birth month and day, but our birth years are 25 years apart! How do you miss that? 🤔 She was not paying attention to the DOB that she pretended to verify on the medication bag.3. She then asked me to verify my phone number on the pinpad. I told her I've never seen that phone number before. So she changed it to mine. How did that not encourage her to have me verify the patient information directly on medication bag? She just tossed it in a shopping bag and sent me on my way. I didn't think much of it in the moment. The pharmacy tech never asked to verify my address. She also gave counsel on my medication and medical condition without consulting the pharmacist beforehand. Had she of done so, she would have never advised me to drink cranberry juice to aid my condition. My doctor forbid me to drink any form of cranberry juice and the sort, as it causes my condition further irritation during treatment with the medication. The tech needs a firm reminder from management of her scope of practice as a pharmacy technician. After we discovered the mistake at home, my husband called and spoke with the actual Pharmacist. She was very professional and kind. She apologized and offered to print the correct label for the medication bottle. She also corrected the billing to the wrong patient and reported the mistake to their superiors.

Every time I call the pharmacy I get someone rude on the other side. Everytime there passive aggressive. Train your ppl answering the phones better.

Doesn’t seem very organized. The pharmacist only identifies herself as “the pharmacist “ and raya the associate wasn’t very helpful at all. Stay away from poorly ran businesses as such if you don’t want low grade medical.

The pharmacy needs training on customer service. Katie was rude when i called and did not help at all. Then went to pick up my meds and saw she was rude to every person in line. no excuse.

This place is amazing! It hasn't always been this way. More great people have been hired, this CVS has an amazing store manager. He is extremely helpful and very kind. The ladies at the register are terrific, also. The pharmacy has turned around. Wait time for Rx's used to be hours to the next day. Now my prescriptions are usually ready within the hour, such an eye opening game changer.

Went in right before lunch. Pharmacist was very nice and asked if I could come back after lunch to pick up rx. I said that was fine. Didn’t make it back until evening and still wasn’t ready. I was also on hold twice for over 10 minutes and never spoke to the pharmacist. I understand it’s a hard time of year and also a hard time getting enough help, but they had 6 extra hours. Will be going back to the Foothills CVS .

First let me say there is one five-star pharmacist that works at this location. Otherwise this would be a half-star rating. All the horror stories in the other reviews are true, because each of these complaints describe something that has happened to me over the past eight years of doing business at this location. Understaffed, under-trained, and rude. One lady that works at the pharmacy counter is rude to most customers, each time I have visited in person. She became argumentative on the phone with me and refused to let me speak with a pharmacist (who would have understood), so I finally just hung up the phone. She called me back just to bless me out and hang up on me. Moved my business to another pharmacy.

2/15/23 9am- I went to pick up a prescription that was called in through my insurance along with good RX. They told me my total would be 67.25 when I arrived. I had a total of 75.83 and when I asked why the price has changed the cashier at the drive-through had to double check and then she said begrudgingly that she would have to resubmit it and I showed her my good RX app on my phone that showed my price and she told me unfortunately, there was nothing that she could do and I would have to pay the 75.83. She said since she would have to resend it that I would have to drive back around and come through drive theu again. She then smiled and held back a lability like she was enjoying it. I decided to go in instead of going through the long drive through line so I wouldn’t be late to work. Kelly was at the counter and told me the same thing and at no ooh t did anyone offer to do the logical thing and call good rx to see what the issue was. Kelly and Chris were very rude and their lead Brandon did nothing to help and stayed behind his computer. I understand they’re waiting on other people too but I’ve never been treated this bad by a pharmacy. Unfortunately I needed the sensors so I had to buy them . Sarah who cashed me out was very sweet and empathetic and said she would call them to look into the issue . If they had done that in the first place this would’ve been avoided. I would’ve given zero stars but thanks to Sara actually being a kind person I give it one star.

I went to pick up a prescription tonight the pharmacist Brandon was very rude and unprofessional. I have a hearing problem and let him know and it sounded like he was mumbling when I was asking questions about a new perception. He said that's the way he talks and look at the cashier and said I don't know what to tell him about the prescription. This man should NOT be a pharmacist until he can get better knowledge of medication atreacustomers better and more respectful. I would give it zero stars if I coukd

Came in to coupon and the cashier made the entire experience a DREAM! She was friendly and helped make sure all coupons applied. For someone who comes in expecting to pay a certain amount — the cashier being kind makes the world of a difference!

Brandon, one of the pharmacists, is exceedingly rude and condescending. No star for him! The tech, Nancy, has never failed to be friendly, polite and as helpful as she can be even in very busy times.5 stars for Miss Nancy.

This is a very clean and organized store. The pharmacy staff work very hard to answer any questions or concerns that you have about any of your medications. The store associates have always been very friendly and helpful if you need help with something.Kudos to this CVS Pharmacy!

Kelly should not be working as a pharmacist. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. I cannot believe a human being would be so hateful towards customers. She needs to be talked to by management

Drove here from Townsend after a long day at work. Had a 6pm appointment for my covid booster and my husband's. We arrived early and waited in line only to be sent to another line. Then we were told it would be an hour behind. Meaning 7pm. No one bothered to text or call and let us know this so we could reschedule or cancel. What a joke! There's no way they didn't know Boosters were scheduled and they'd have people coming in. Very unprofessional and very rude. People have lives and do NOT want to sit in a pharmacy all evening. Yes, I realize places are short staffed. However, you let people know when you'll be running behind. I do NOT recommend this pharmacy whatsoever.

This has to be the worst pharmacy ever! They call tell me a script is ready, drive over at 5 bucks a gallon and it’s not told to come back in 2 hours because 20 of them are going to lunch. Go home as soon as I get home get a call that it’s ready, husband goes to lick it up, it’s not ready he drives through 3 times waiting 30 minutes each time!!! Utterly ridiculous!!! Then today he has been on hold for 30 minutes no one answering to see if his script is ready!! WTAH! We will be leaving this pharmacy today!

Trying to pick up a prescription with my grandma as she just left the oral surgeon getting teeth removed. Tech was immediately stand-offish when she asked me what she was prescribed (which was listed on the form I had JUST handed her), I’m assuming because it was a narcotic considering her immediate change in demeanor towards me. Tells me flatly it won’t be ready for 3.5 hours, I guess we’re doing ibuprofen until then.

Horrible experience. I’ve tried FOUR times today to get through the insipid phone maze and speak to a pharmacist. Each time I’ve finally given up in disgust after being hammered by their horrible static filled music and repeated prompts for vaccines. It is like it is designed to raise one’s blood pressure. Guess that’s good for business. Would give a 0 star if that was an option. On hold for over an hour, all together. Never got to speak to someone. Need a refill and the phone prompts didn’t work. Driving over there tomorrow. Unhappy customer. Thinking Walgreens is in my future. Grrrrrrr……🤪

CVS Hall Rd., Alcoa TN is great. CVS is the best for when it comes from where to tell your doctor to send your prescription.

I called the pharmacy on Tuesday Sept 14 to have a prescription sent to my correct pharmacy..I was on hold for over an hour. I called the store's main line twice to speak with the manager , Josh, twice..Apparently the pharmacist had called in sick that day and the staff and other pharmacist were swamped. As a healthcare worker myself I understand working short. But there was no attempt at customer service period. I feel sorry for the folks of Alcoa and Maryville who have legitimate questions or need help with a subscription..If you call Dr Zach at the 2931 Alcoa Hwy store in Knoxville, he or his tech will always answer the phone. I have never been on hold with that store for more than 5 minutes...

I called and asked for a specific medicine without an certain ingredient in it. The pharmacist, Ron, told me they had plenty of it. I dropped off my prescription and was told it would be an hour. I came back and waiting 25 minutes in the line inside and when I talked to the person they said they didn’t have it. I said well Ron told me you did on the phone. Ron came over and VERY UNPROFESSIONALLY told me o didn’t ask about the ingredient and I assured him I had. He handed me my prescription and told me I didn’t. I said well my number is on the paper you could have called me. He said I did in fact I called twice. I said I have no missed calls or voicemails and he told me that didn’t mean anything. After all of his rudeness I thanked him for wasting my time and he very loudly told the checkout person that I did not ask about the ingredient. What a rude man. What if this had been a confidential matter? I guess the 10 people in line would of known about it because of his loud rudeness.

I have used this location for my pharmacy needs since they opened the doors. They are always friendly and the service is efficient. Never had an error on a prescription. There is sometimes a fairly long wait to pick up prescriptions, which I think could be remedied with a few more techs. The store is clean and well-kept.

Not the first time we have had bad customer service from LISA who works in the pharmacy area as the cashier. She is rude, she is not helpful and she announces your medicine so everyone can hear what you are taking. So much for privacy. I also order our scripts from the online CVS site and twice they have messed up my husbands scripts. They tell us they have called the doctor like they are suppose to and they don't call the doctor. We end up calling the doctor and we know for a fact the pharmacy never attempted to call them. Not good.

This pharmacy is usually ok but recently they have been very unprofessional. I always get this one person when I come in here lately. She’s rude no matter what. I get it, working with the public sucks, but no need to be rude to people who aren’t rude to you in the first place.I have a couple of prescriptions that are always on hold until I tell them to fill them. I have to tell them multiple times to fill these before they ever do it.Recently, I got a new prescription. It was on hold several days and I asked for it to be filled several times. The last time I came in I asked about it for the fourth time. I got the same person who is always rude. She seemed so annoyed that I asked about it and after a few minutes told me it was out of stock and that it has been for a while. I was told that I need to get it sent to a different pharmacy if I wanted it. Ok thanks a lot for waiting several days to tell me this! Glad you all didn’t think it was very important to let me know that I wouldn’t be getting it.Just don’t act like you hate everyone. Maybe fill the prescriptions when asked. Tell your customers if there’s a problem with an order so it can be resolved asap. Don’t make them ask multiple times and wait around for something they’re never going to get.

Unfortunately, I had to give one star to leave a review. Otherwise, I wouldn’t give a start. I chose to switch from Walgreens to CVS because it is closer to my house now. Big mistake! I had an unpleasant experience the first time I walked in and it hasn’t gotten better. On Thursday, at approximately 4 pm, I stopped by CVS to give them my kids and myself insurance information and to confirm they received the prescriptions from out doc. During this time, a lady that works behind the counter in the pharmacy (blue scrubs) was kind enough to help me. The whole time she was helping me the pharmacist kept bugging her because the line for pick up was getting long. She was one of three ladies working and to be honest they were busy. Hello! Hire more personnel if your that busy. Your a pharmacy and it’s flu season! Duh! The pharmacist told the nice lady that she didn’t need to be getting my insurance information because when the prescriptions are filled they will get that. First, of all that makes no sense because the insurance needs to be billed first. Otherwise, how would you know to fill it!? Secondly, the lady was helping me enroll in text alerts so I will know when it’s ready. Oh and even though she did that the text alerts NEVER worked!! Later that evening, after get NO notification that our meds were ready (my poor kids get worse at home), I decided to drive out at 7:30 at night to get our meds. The lady at the drive in window was completely rude when she informed me our meds weren’t ready, and they had to order 2 for my kids. She informed me they would be ready the next day and I would get a text (all the while being rude). It is now Friday (the next day), and I’m currently waiting in the lobby for our prescriptions. Still not ready!! I originally used the drive threw. The lady asked me who I was picking up for, so I gave her all 3 of our names. Of course she rudely interrupted me mid sentence to inform me she needed one name at a time. How about asking me how many people I’m picking up for first??!! Then ask me the name one at a time??!! Or is rudeness a standard at this pharmacy?? So, I’m inside. They didn’t apply insurance for one of my daughters prescriptions (eye roll). I don’t even know why I’m surprised...their customer service standards are clear to me know. Here is some customer service advice. Your dealing with sick peole how about being nice! Also, please explain to me why Walgreens (by foothills mall) can fill my prescriptions in hours (same day) and it has taken this place two days!!! Absolutely ridiculous! I will not use this pharmacy again. Even if it is convenient because of location. I’ll drive across town where the service is better and they actually know what they are doing!
