8/25/2023- I heard back from Mini Mall Storage and had a very nice conversation with Ashley. She assured me they were aware of these concerns on the property and were giving attention to them.Hello. I have requested by phone calls that this location be maintained more closely. The lights are often not replaced when they go out in the main hallways and the floors look to never, or rarely, be cleaned. It is great to have a climate controlled building but the facility itself is not as well kept as it was for years when it was privately owned. The gate system was an added feature with new ownership but twice now it has not wanted to open automatically for our family driving through and once we had to call so we could get out. We have been here for a few years but honestly have discussed leaving the property. Then just recently we received a notice that no one will be on site any longer in the main office and only in nearby Johnson City. It is disappointing.

Rachel was nice but I she is leaving. Originally had a 10 X 20. Pretty decent. Door worked correctly. Paperwork was easy. Limited hours if you need to talk to someone in person though. Moved to a 5 X 10 and it is hard to get to, location wise. In narrow alley, too small for a U-haul, barely get my pickup through. Door is broke, won't stay open and it is difficult pull open and lock. Actually moving to another facility that is newer. I also set up autopayment and they continued to charge my credit card months after I moved out. I had to threaten them with court action in order to get them to stop charging my card. Avoid this place if you can.

Management at Afton-Chuckey Self Storage always take care of their customers and it's wonderful being able to access the units any hour of the day or night with great lighting. This is hands-down the best storage unit facility I've used, especially with the security camera coverage. Thanks for your wonderful service!

The mini mall storage is not a storage company. When they bought I'll Afton chuckey storage they didn't send us the new contact with any of the terms and conditions. They charged us for insurance (which we wanted) but then said they didn't have insurance. That they overlooked it when they bought it out. It became a problem because we found out that our storage had mice.

Timely call back response to an online unit reservation! Customer service was great! Heather was very helpful working remotely with me over the phone and through email to make sure everything is ready to go for our big move!

Clean outfit. However, paid everything online that was requested at setup time. Went 2 days later to the gate and it would not take my code. Called the service center and was told that we needed to pay another $16 to get the code reinstated. Went back to unit. Door is very difficult to open by one person.

My husband and I had been searching and searching for a storage unit near Chuckey, TN, where we planned to relocate in the near future. We ultimately called Afton-Chuckey Self Storage, where my husband initially left his name and number for a call back. We received a call from Sarah, just an hour or so later, who confirmed that they indeed had a unit that fit our needs. The online process for securing the unit rental was quick and easy, and was followed up by a call from Heather to check that she had the correct information and to ask us if we had any questions. Kudos to Sarah and Heather, who were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! They certainly helped make this step of the moving process considerably less painful!

Myself and 2 family members rent storage units here. The climate controlled units are reliable and none of us has ever had any issues with accessibility. The facility is kept clean and tidy and our belongings are kept safe. They are very fairly priced. If anyone needs storage, I highly recommend renting here.

This storage facility was bought by a corporation from a local owner who was retiring. They PROMPTLY raised the price $10 a mo. The young lady in the office is great, very nice and she's just following orders, but I'd rather deal with "locals" than deal with money hungry corporations. I just cleaned my unit out and gave them back their space. If you do shut down your unit make sure you give a 10 day notice!!

I would recommend these storage units over the rest the staff here is amazing as well.Rachel is the most helpful and easy going person she has been extremely helpful to me and thanks to her and this company i know that my belongings are safe a secure and the prices here are very fair as well. Just your average storage facility. The rates are good. you never see an actual live person working there. everything is through the computer or the phone.

Absolutely just terrible!!!! gates left open 24/7 feels like none of my stuff is protected what's so ever and looks you posted no parking sighns for absolutely no reason what If I gotta wait for someone guess I cant!!!

The new owners are super nice and accommodating but only 3 stars because the monthly fee jumped over 10 dollars a month. That seems like a lot for storage.

The "locked gate" is open a lot, even when the chain is not broken. The office is never staffed when needed.I would not recommend this place.

Maybe not the stores fault ..but I couldn't even get through at least 50% of the aisles...and the rest had very little to choose from. The employees were friendly.
