I had a serious issue with my Dog and was turned away after doing business with them for eight years. They said it would be two weeks before they could look at him.no straight answers. If you ask the Doc what time it is, he will tell you how to build a watch. Went to different Doc and it was urgent enough to be looked at asap. I will not go back.ther grooming business is also terrible. Did a hack job and never cut nails cleaned ears or anal glands. as requested.

What a great experience. Our female Munsterlaunder was having bladder issues, and after a few questions and some tests from Dr Paul, he knew what we were dealing with. I also liked that first round of treatment was with injection to get a faster response. What a great staff and Dr.

Best Groomer EVER, I have a shih tzu that had really long hair and I needed him to get a short cut for the warming weather and they did a such a nice job, they even added a little handkerchief around his neck and made him look cute! Friendly staff made me feel my dog was welcomed. Definitely my new go to for my grooming and vet needs!

I went to this vet to help my 98 year old mother put her dog down. A very emotional and difficult time. I paid the money and then the front desk lady explained to me that my mom could not hold her dog, pet it or talk to it during the euthanasia process until he was dead. When I said I would not make my mom go through this without letting her comfort him she referred me to the doctor. He came out of the exam room and motioned with his head - no words - no arm extended- to go into the exam room- odd but ok he’s an animal guy not a people person. I stepped into the room and he explained how an animal has such a bond to a human that they fight death and he would have to come in repeatedly to give the dog shots until it dies. Really? Make the dose lethal the first time. When I said I changed my mind about euthanizing there and began to walk out of the exam room he reached out and shut the door blocking my ability to leave. Really - would he have treated a man this way? When I stated my intention of reversing charges and leaving he explained then that I could stay and for MORE MONEY my mom would b allowed to touch and hold her dog while it died! I am outraged with ethics like this. Yankton could defintey use some competition in the compassionate, loving medical service of animals and the people that love them. Great business opportunity for someone! NEVER AGAIN AT THIS VET!!

My kids dog was hit by a car, the vet was minutes from closing, but took one look at my son holding his dog and pointed toward the medical room. He was able to save my son's dog.Even though we're all in this time of being held captive by a disease, this clinic knows we still need a vet for our furbabies.The Vet explains everything you need to do for your furbaby at home, in a way in which you will not make a mistake. Thanks to this whole crew for working after hours to stop the bleeding and save our old Bassett Hound❣

Grooming and boarding only - haven't used the medical part. They do such a good job with the grooming we drive over from Vermillion to have it done, which should tell you something. When my mom was in the hospital we had to get the dogs boarded & they did a wonderful job with that, too.

I went to see what they could do for my little 3 month old kitten. They put him on a hot pad to warm him up, they both the nurse and the doctor both came in and checked on him. They both where and friendly to me and my daughter. I would go back to them too.

Just had a really bizarre experience at this place. New to town and trying to get our cat set up with a veterinarian to get her stomatitis treatment. The woman working the front desk (I'm not sure if she even has any medical training or is just the office person??) was incredibly bossy and condescending. When we got into the exam room (for some reason she, the vet tech, AND the doctor all came in with us), she proceeded to tell both us and the doctor was he was supposed to be doing, without asking our thoughts on the matter or any of our experiences with our pet. Not to mention the things she was saying we had to do were in contradiction to every veterinary doctor I've ever gone to. The doctor didn't say a word in response to her or to shift the conversation to us, so we walked out and will find another vet. I would have been happy to have a discussion with her and/or the doctor, but starting off by being told all the things that were wrong and what I was going to do was just a strange way to start a relationship and to treat both clientele and the animal in question. Don't go to this place.NOTE: I have subsequently learned that the front desk woman is the Dr.'s wife and has no formal education in veterinary medicine.UPDATE 06/25/18: I received a comment on my BBB complaint about this clinic from the business itself. They say the woman we interacted with has has "worked over 30 years in the Veterinary Clinic" and indicate nothing about her having any actual veterinary medicine training. They're not even trying to defend that part, it seems. They also referred in their comments to my husband as my "significant other" in quotations, which seems odd. I guess they don't believe married people can have different last names? They also seemed to object to the fact that our mailing address is not in Yankton...even though we told them we were new to town and this was our first visit to their clinic. I'm not sure what they think is so wrong with having an address from outside Yankton and wanting to get your animal medical care? They also claimed in their BBB comments to have a policy about not allowing not rabies-vaccinated animals in their clinic, but they don't tell you about that in advance and never told us that until we were INSIDE the exam room. I think their plan is to force you into spending money with them over made-up rules. This place is shady and dishonest. The more they reveal, the more obvious that becomes.

Charged me double of what I was quoted. Went from $326 to $554 and could not or would not explain why. My dogs will NEVER go back there. Rip offs!!!
